4.6 out of 5 stars 151 ratings

Camryn Thomas is a woman with it all. She has millions in the bank, she owns the best gay club in LA, and she’s married to actress Shelly Hamlin. Everything in life is going to plan, and now they’re expanding the family. With the arrival of Noah and Darcy, Cam thinks life couldn’t get any better...until Michelle disappears. Desperate to find her, Cam will do anything. When she finally tracks her down, the answers she gets are far from what she expected, and life for the Thomases might never be the same again.
This is the 4th book in the Cam Thomas series.
Life follows OUT, Next, and Yes, but more than that, it also brings back characters from Escape & Freedom, with cameos from many other stories in the Claire Highton-Stevenson universe.

Claire Highton-Stevenson is a British Indie author. She writes heartwarming, Sapphic romance in contemporary settings. Claire's characters are bold, strong, independent women who love women.

However, she is also known to throw in a mystery or two. Claire likes to move around the tropes at will, and will often bend the rules to create exciting and often unique situations. She's not afraid to tackle darker topics either.

I don't know how I missed this as I had read about Lucy and Nicole. I love how Cam's story linked up to their story as well in the last book. You can't beat a happy ending for both lesbian couples.

I really enjoyed Life: A Cam Thomas Story. Cam’s life certainly has changed since the series began. Read the preceding books in the series before you read this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic sequel

I would like to mention at the beginning that the older reviews that you see here don’t belong to this book that was just released a few days ago. So maybe just ignore them.

But now about this book. 😊 I adore the Cam Thomas series and was so excited that we get another book. And I didn't get disappointed.

When Cam and Michelle finally welcome their twins in the world it looks like everything is perfect from the outside. But there is something that bothers Michelle for a longer time and makes her leave their family at some point. And that's when I fell in love with both of them even more. I felt their pain, distress and hopelessness. But most of all it was just wonderful to accompany them on their journey together. Because this is what marriage and a family means. Being there for each other not only in the good times but also the worst times. When everything looks black and you can't see a single light at the end of a tunnel, what you need is someone that tells you everything will be ok.

I don’t' wanna reveal too much about what happens in the story, because I don't wanna spoil anything. But what I can promise is that if you have loved the series so far, you will love this one too. For me it's the most perfect sequel that shows what really matters in life. And if you're also a fan of Escape & Freedom you will be as happy as I was, when I realised very early in the book that we get to see a lot more of Lucy, Nicole and their kids. And the longer the book continues characters from other books show up, which was another amazing thing. Which leads me to my suggestion that you definitely need to read all of Claire's other books before you start to read this. 😉Most of all of course the first 3 books in the Cam Thomas series and Escape & Freedom.

The way the book ended I'm hoping that maybe one day there will be a 5th book in the series. There definitely still is lots of potential for more. But until then I'm just happy we got this wonderful story. 😊

5.0 out of 5 stars When`s book 5 due out?

Once you see the name Camryn Thomas, you know you`re in for a treat. Life deals with some difficult issues, especially for Michelle, Cam`s wife, & although you know that it`ll all work out, making the journey with the couple is a learning curve, a tough one at times, as is life itself. Thanks Claire, for once again not disappointing me. Book 5 beckons, & I can`t wait

What a fantastic read delving back into the lives of Cam and Michelle , a brilliant true relateable struggle with life after the birth of children, I'm hoping that maybe there will be another chapter in the series of books to see how Lucy,Nicole Cam , Michelle and the children grow up and follow their dreams

Another enjoyable installment in the Cam series.
I really love this series and it was nice to have characters from the author's other books make an appearance.
The arrival of their twins has a huge impact on Cam & Michelle's lives and something inevitably has to give.
I highly recommend this entire series.
