Sometimes we spend too much time worrying about what others think about how we look the things we enjoy instead of finding out what they are about the differences between is what should be embraced and explored and accepted as the norm life is about perception and seeing things with different eyes can be a good thing.

I think this was possibly my favorite of the series. While it was a bit obvious who the “bad guy” was at times and I Would have enjoyed if Athena and Willis’ time getting to know each other once he was human had been fleshed out a little more (the middle of the book seemed a bit rushed), overall I thought the idea behind Willis’ form was very unique, and I loved how the running crime storyline of the series all came together. I would LOVE to see a book about Lenora!!!!

This is a well-written, unusual but highly entertaining mermaid romance.
It is about: a stubborn young woman (Athena) who is an expert on the legends of merfolk and is absolutely determined to meet the legend, a merman who was once thought to be a great captain of the high seas but the captain has been avoiding her because he is made of water but when she nearly drowns trying to get close to him the captain decides he is going to teach her a lesson.
There is: mermen, a witch, curses, magic, demons, evil, danger, twists & turns, friendship, law enforcement, missing people, intrigue, obsession, memories, confusion, dreams, conflict, betrayal, deceit, blackmail, threats, pain, bewilderment, defiance, self-sacrifice, guilt, shame, trust & some steam.
The characters are quite complex & interesting. The story line is well-thought out & intriguing with some very unusual occurrences, it keeps the readers’ attention.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third and final book in The Sea Men series. Athena is a young woman who was rescued when she was a small child by one of the sea men and she is determined to meet him again. Athena has spent her life trying to see him, even when everyone thought she was crazy. When she becomes friends with the other sea men and their loves, she is even more convinces he is real. When Athena is at the library where she works, she meet Levi, a young man who asks her to dinner. Athena thinks it might be time to give up on her merman so she agrees, only to find her merman contacting her. There are missing girls and the sheriff asks Athena to make flyers to advertise the beach closing at dusk and Athena recruits her friends for help. When The Captain makes a deal for legs to go to Athena, he has to make her fall in love with him before it is too late. Levi also is not what he seems and could be dangerous for everyone. I liked this fantasy series. I loved the idea of men being from the sea. this was a hot and steamy story about true love. Great series.
