A Merry MacIntosh Christmas (MacIntosh Meadows Book 4) Kindle Edition
When Dr. Joseph Nielson—aka Doc—walked into his exam room, the last thing he expected to find was the spitting image of the fiance who had hurt him so badly that he’d spent the rest of his adult life as a bitter bachelor.
Marion Harris is a twenty-nine year old virgin… who happens to be nine months pregnant, thanks to having agreed to be a surrogate for his best friend. After an unlucky year of sorrow, he’s now alone with a child to raise and nowhere else to go but his father’s hometown of MacIntosh Meadows.
After a not-so-great first impression, the two men keep finding themselves pushed together during the holiday season they both hate by a mischievous family who loves them—the MacIntosh clan. Despite every reason they shouldn’t, neither one can find a good enough reason to fight the matchmaking… or the natural attraction they both feel.
This is the fourth book in this heartwarming series and contains a virgin giving birth in a barn, three wise guys in pajamas, and enough holiday feels to keep you smiling into the new year. Pretty much everything you’d expect from a Susi Hawke book.

About the author

I’m a happily married mom whose kids are grown! I've always written stories, but only found the courage to publish in my 40s. This midlife career change has been amazing and proves it's never too late to follow your dreams. I plan to keep writing for as long as my readers want my books. I love sharing the stories of the different people who live in my imagination. My books are filled with humor, a few tears, and the underlying message to never give up and keep hoping, even in the darkest of times, because life can change on a dime when you least expect it. This theme comes from a lifetime of lessons learned on my own hard journey through the pains of poverty, the loss of more loved ones than I’d care to count, and the struggles of living through chronic illnesses. Life can be hard, but it can also be good! Through it all I’ve found that love, laughter, and family can make all the difference, and that’s what I try to bring to every tale I tell.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2019A Merry MacIntosh Christmas is the fourth book in the MacIntosh Meadows series by Susi Hawke. It is a contemporary m/m romance with an mpreg, an age gap and a very interesting twist.
This book is sweet, funny, and had me smiling while reading. Marian and Joseph are fantastic characters that just make you fall in love. Definitely recommend this book!.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2022I love stories with Silver Foxes!
Hot! HOT! 🔥!
I seemed to like each story more than the last. That was true here too!
How many people are kind enough to carry a child for their friend who had cancer in college. But how many people become the legal guardian of the surrogate they are carrying? Such kindness!
When Marion comes to town to claim his inheritance he was not expecting to run into the Macintosh Meadows Grannies. Marion became theirs from then on.
When the Grannies got it in their head he and the baby, Skylar needed to be checked. It was there he met Joseph and Joseph saw his copy...his Dad.
Once apologies were made and then they got to know each other. So well. Joseph went old school and asked if he could court....
Well let's leave some excitement for the book but even though this was the shortest, I loved it and the 2 main characters, Joseph and Marion. But the 3 Macintosh boys are in it as well as their omegas. I do love how they omegas pull together to get things done or watch someone's kids. (Kade is my favorite omega). But as far as Alphas...Joseph.
I highly recommend this series! This whole series is awesome and this book is a great one to end with!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 7, 2019So perfect - Christmas healing of the hearts. Loved being back in MacIntosh Meadows for a visit with all the regular characters. Happy to meet two more, Joseph and Marion, an age-gap, meant-to-be-together pair. Susi Hawke is a master at giving us characters who are funny and charming. Read this story, fall in love with this giant family and the pair they rally round this time. The Nativity scene birth was a stroke of genius!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2023Such a good story . I've read all four books and am looking for more from this author. Keep them coming !
- Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2020A pregnant virgin is stranded near Christmas and in need of shelter. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before. Except this isn’t Mary, this is Marion. And his companion isn’t the Joseph from the Bible, but Dr. Joseph Nielson, obstetrician extraordinaire. He’s the only doctor working near Christmas and as Marion finds himself stuck and in need of help, Joseph is expected to step in and help. Only problem? Marion reminds Joseph of a painful part of his past. So can he work through the existential crap and help the young expectant father? Time will tell.
I have listened to a bunch of Susi Hawke audios recently and this one was good, although not my favorite. A little cheesy on occasion, but sweet. Marion has come to town to claim his inheritance, not realizing how complicated that will prove to be. He’s also pregnant and about to give birth so, yeah, the kindness of strangers is appreciated – especially the two grandmothers who take him under their wings. Of course there’s the birth in the barn, and the three wise guys in pajamas (and yes, that was definitely funny). There are plenty of laughs and a few sentimental moments as well.
Drew Bacca narrated the story and he did a good job. His narrations and solid and consistent which is important. Overall it was good and I’m glad I listened.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2019Another amazing read by Ms. Hawke!
Great characters and appearances from previous books in the series.
It’s like coming home for the holidays and catching up with family.
This will make even a Scrooge like Christmas again!
Sweet Plot lines and low angst, just a feel good read.
Can’t wait to see who else we meet from MacIntosh Meadows next time!

As a huge fan of Susi Hawke, it was a joy to return to MacIntosh Meadows for a holiday story with a virgin birth in a barn. I love these characters and it was with great pleasure that I got to see them welcome a new Omega and celebrate the festive season.
