Make Me Give In (Omega Celibacy Club Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 439 ratings

Welcome to the Omega Celibacy Club. No sex until graduation. No unexpected pregnancies. No alphas needed.

SIMON
Even if it’s not politically correct to say so anymore, everyone still knows that alphas and omegas are ruled by their biology. Sure, it’s the twenty-first century now and most people have given up believing in archaic ideas like fated mates, but just take a look at college drop out rates and you’ll see that some things haven’t changed at all. Alphas still dominate, omegas still submit, and horny college kids in heat let their hormones dictate poor choices every day.

Not me and my roommates, though. Not if I have anything to say about it. Too many of our classmates here at Preston College have gotten knocked up and then dropped out. Given up their goals and dreams just because they’ve met an alpha with a big… ego. The point here is that there’s only one surefire way to avoid that trap, and that’s why I started the Omega Celibacy Club. No sex until graduation. No unexpected pregnancies. No alphas needed.

And no, I’m
not just saying that because I’ve been hung up on one particular alpha for approximately ever. I’m totally over Hunter King. I mean, not that there was ever anything to get over. Our families have been friends forever and he dated my sister back when I was still just a kid, but even if me and my right hand may have pined for him once upon a time, I barely ever think of him anymore.

I mean never. I
never think of him anymore.

Did I mention I’m over it?

HUNTER
Weddings are a great place to get laid, but when I show up for my ex’s big day, I’m hoping to get a lot more than that. I’ve never admitted it, but the reason I broke up with her all those years ago was because of her brother. One look at little Simon Lawson and I was a goner. Of course I didn’t say anything though, not back then. I didn’t touch him. Always kept my distance. I had to, because he was just a kid… but he’s all grown up now.

I’ve bided my time for years, but now I’m ready to see if the feeling is mutual. And if it is, I know exactly what I want. I want Simon. I want a family. And I want it forever. And even though I’ve never been the kind of alpha who imposes his will on omegas, when I finally realize just what it is that my omega needs, I know I’ll do anything at all to make that forever happen.

In fact, I’ll do
everything.

MAKE ME GIVE IN is the first book in the Omega Celibacy Club series, a contemporary omegaverse world where the only thing stronger than an alpha’s will is his desire to keep his omega happy, and where even omegas who don’t believe in fated mates sometimes still find them.

Angel Knots is the pen name of a rabid Omegaverse fan who also happens to be a writer.

In real life, Angel goes by another name and pens contemporary gay romance stories when she's not chasing after the two small humans she spawned during the last decade.

She knows that the fans of her other books may not appreciate knotting, soul-bonds, and male impregnation as much as she does, so with the flick of a pen she created a new identity and happily started filling blank pages with self-lubricating omegas and the alphas they love.

Sweet, sexy, respectful mpreg
This is a great series starter and I really enjoyed the way the characters interacted with each other and the way the series has been set up. There's also a lot of respect demonstrated throughout the story which is lovely to watch. Kinda sweet, definitely sexy and a fun read. 4/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I loved Simon and Hunter. They were both refreshing characters. Having read tons of omegaverse stories, I found this one to be different and a breath of fresh air. Hunter wasn't the overly domineering alpha. He placed Simon's needs first and he loved him tenderly. Also, he didn't succumb to the pull of Simon's heat. He held back and I liked that. The dialogues were amazing, keeping me drawn in to the story and might I add that the sexy scenes were *chef's kiss* glorious. This is definitely a good read and I'd certainly read it again.

This is a fun , sweet and entertaining story.

Is about Simon a quirky and lovable College student Omega male and Hunter , an Alpha male and Simon's sister ex-boyfriend .

Simon wants to get his degree and work for a successful Financial Company. An unplanned pregnancy won't derail is dream. So , he convinces his brother and roommates to join him in the OCC , AKA Omega Celibacy Club, that means no sex until graduation; that's six months away.

But things go sideways, when Hunter and Simon meet again and oops, Simon's hormones are playing havoc with the OCC. And Simon isn't happy about it; 😏seriously, he already ordered the club t-shirts.

Make Me Give in is the perfect escapism story . It's has almost no angst, it's humorous with very, VERY hot and sexy scenes. Really folks, there are lots and lots of sexy times. Just what the doctor ordered when feeling blue.

It was my first book by Angel Knots . I am looking forward reading book 2 in the OCC ; Nolan's tale.

I have previously read the Dragon's Destiny series that this author helped write. So I had some expectations of the way this series would go. I don't really think they're similar at all so don't read this and expect that. I really liked the characters and that's the only reason I'll be continuing this series because I want to see what happens with them. The first thing I didn't like about this book is the very sparse physical descriptions of the characters. I'm not expecting a pause in the story and a complete exposition of their looks but there are ways to work this into the story. Which brings me to the second thing I didn't like, all the inner monologues about what should or shouldn't be done and all the waxing poetic during dirty sex scenes. They barely talk to each other so of course they don't know what the other person really wants and then they get all angsty. And I'm not one to complain about the frequency of length of a sex scene but these just were bogged down by the inner monologues as well. I hope the other books are good because like I said, I did enjoy the characters.

Simon is determined to abstain from sex, so much so that he forms a celibacy club and persuades all of his housemates to join. The last thing he wants is to get pregnant and need to drop out of school. But then his heat unexpectedly starts while attending a wedding, and of course his crush since forever, Hunter, is there and very willing to help him out. Very fun! First installment in a series which promises to be off the charts in heat, feels and laughs.

Simon was a little bossy but I liked his idea of the Omega Celibacy Club and him wanting to make sure his friends didn't sacrifice their dreams for an Alpha. The OCC meetings were very entertaining. I really liked Simon's brother Tristan and their friend Emmett. Nolan definitely took some warming up to though. I'm looking forward to reading his book because I think it will be pretty fun.

I liked Simon and Hunter together and they definitely burned up the sheets but I didn't like how much time they spent apart. I did like how Hunter was always there when Simon needed him and I really enjoyed the epilogue.

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it quite a few times....I’m not a fan of Omegaverses. I was thrilled when I found out Angel Knots was coming back (!!!) but less excited about the Omegaverse aspect. I admit, I put this book off awhile because of that fact. But hot dang, she does it again! Whoop! It’s still not Dragon’s Destiny (hands down, my fave—Ty Burns ftw), but I’ll take what I can get where she’s concerned. It is HOT, it is FUNNY, and it’s a low angst- super cute-adorable read. I can’t wait to go through the rest of the books as they come out AND I’m crossing my fingers for some audiobook goodness soon.

This is a delightful story and a refreshingly take on Alpha/Omega tropes. Simon and his fellow omega make for a likeable cast of protagonists and draw you into their interactions with the alphas in their lives. I like that it was kept lighthearted and even when the writing was a bit simplistic and formulaic at times, the bond between the one has was sweet to read.

This is the story of Simon an omega who was deter!ones not to give in to biology and the will/lure of any alpha that would defer his dream this starting he OCC . He goes into a super heat and finds that the alpha of his dreams comes to his aide. They start a relationship and the sex ensues and of course he becomes pregnant. He is devastated and riddle with guilt that not only does he have to give up his future but it will also interfere with Hunters future. Hunter is so devoted and in love with Simon that he's willing to do whatever it takes to make him happy and they find their HEA .
It was an ok read I found that the characters internal monologues dragged on and on and at times I found that they were just saying the same things over and over. Even in sexier scenes they droned on. I was able to skip paragraphs and sometimes pages and I wouldn't miss a beat. There were no grammatical errors and I believe I will be looking into the other books to see what happens with the other members of the OCC.

4.0 out of 5 stars Making it work together
Reviewed in Canada on March 23, 2021
Outside of some lack of communication, this was a high heat low angst book. Simon and Hunter both want each other (have actually for a while) but Simon has made a pledge not to drop out of school by getting knocked up. Meeting Hunter again seems like the worst time, but it soon becomes clear Hunter is not an overbearing alpha and wants Simon to be happy in a relationship as well, even if that means waiting to have kids and both having careers. Working this out together was a sweet story with lots of sexy times. When it came to the idea of children I enjoyed that it was about making a plan and letting that plan adjust with the circumstances, so it didn't feel like either have up things. A really light and fluffy story for a quick read!

    This was hot and sweet.

A great book with lots of naughtiness and sweetness.

I really liked Simon, his need to follow his dreams, and the way he wanted to care for those around (even if he is a bit heavy handed about it).

I loved Hunter and how good he is for Simon.

I really enjoyed this story and I can't wait for the next one (and I really look forward to Emmet's story)

Great book for a few hours worth of entertainment. Really wish they would have communicated better but then we wouldn’t have this story.

Highly recommend if you like these tropes.

This book was well written and engaging. I liked Simon and Hunter and i think together they worked really well. This book felt fairly short to me and i wasn't sure if that worked for the story or not. I enjoyed it enough that I will definitely check out Nolan's story in book two.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love story where everything works out perfectly

In a lot of alpha omega stories, including this one, omegas can come off worse, but not this time. The alpha is romantic to the point of perfection, loyal, generous, protective, the ideal partner for an omega. The sex is also off the charts!
