Make Me Trust You (Omega Celibacy Club Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 262 ratings

Welcome to Preston College. A top ranked biology program? Check. Division One football? Check. A shy genius and a hot jock both stuck on campus for the summer? Now things are heating up…

EMMETT
Last year, the cutting edge research project my biology professor tapped me for confirmed that fated mates are real… and despite the odds (and the fact that we’re all members of a celibacy club!!)
two of my roommates met theirs.

I met someone last year, too. He was an alpha. He was a football player. He was gorgeous and funny and really, really nice. Besides science, he was basically the only thing I could think about all year long. But alphas don’t notice me and sports just confuse me, so now that Bryce Connors doesn’t need me to tutor him anymore, I’ll probably never see him again.

Too bad it will probably take longer than that to stop wishing I could…

BRYCE
Nineteen years ago, my dad gave up his pro football career to raise me, and ever since the first time he handed me a ball I’ve only had one priority: realizing the dreams he never had a chance to. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not just gonna make it for him. I most definitely love football, too. In fact, up until last year, I would’ve said that outside of my dad, it was the
only thing I loved.

And okay, all right, maybe “love” is too big of a word for my new #1 priority, the crazy-smart omega who saved my scholarship last year, Emmett Christianson… but then again, the way I haven’t been able to get him off my mind? Maybe it’s not.

That’s why, when I head back to campus for summer workouts, I’ve got a plan…

MAKE ME TRUST YOU is the third book in the Omega Celibacy Club series, a contemporary omegaverse world where the only thing stronger than an alpha’s will is his desire to keep his omega happy, and where even omegas who aren’t expecting a fated mate of their own sometimes still find them.

Angel Knots is the pen name of a rabid Omegaverse fan who also happens to be a writer.

In real life, Angel goes by another name and pens contemporary gay romance stories when she's not chasing after the two small humans she spawned during the last decade.

She knows that the fans of her other books may not appreciate knotting, soul-bonds, and male impregnation as much as she does, so with the flick of a pen she created a new identity and happily started filling blank pages with self-lubricating omegas and the alphas they love.

Great 3rd Book
5 out of 5 stars
Great 3rd Book
Book 3 was great this is Emmett's and Bryce's story. After Emmett helped Bryce with his studies he fell for him and was trying to find a way of being close to him so he comes up with the idea of moving in as a roommate and as time moves forward they form a relationship. This series is amazing and I look forward to it continuing.

"Because sometimes you just have to trust that you'll get exactly what you want simply because you want it bad enough. I mean, isn't that how happily ever after is supposed to work?"

I seriously loved this book so much. I have enjoyed the entire series so far and I'm so glad that Emmett finally got his happy ever after. I really love books with hot jocks and shy twinks so this was definitely right up my alley. I also really enjoyed the little hint we get in this book about Tristan's possible mate! I'm so excited for the next book and I can't wait!

Emmett and Bryce are both just delightfully awkward, cute, and adorable. I love how they stumble over themselves trying to figure out who they are to each other.

I love Tristan, but I would have to kill him.lol

Angel Knots (Aubrey Cullens) gives us Emmits story.
I fell in love with Emmit in the first two books and I enjoyed every page, reading how the accident prone genius found his fated mate. This series is so well written, great characters and all the feels without too much angst. I can't wait to read Tristan's story, but I will be sad when this series is over.

I've enjoyed this series up to now and expected some nerdy good times in this, but it's lacking. There's an immaturity to the Bryce/Emmett pairing that just got to be annoying. Tristan's character has also become an overly obnoxious presence. I'm hoping that he'll settle down with his story coming next, but I'm not very optimistic after this.

So far, this series has been heartwarming. Emmett and Bryce are absolutely precious. They make you wish for a love that pure. I look forward to finishing this series and reading Tristan’s journey❣️

Some of the lines were absolutely hilarious. Even more so than the previous books, and while Tristan made me chuckle before, he had me laughing out loud this time around. I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIS BOOK!!

I would definitely recommend this book, especially to anybody who has been reading the series. This could be read as a standalone, but you might miss a few details from the other books that are necessary to the overarching series plot.

    *possible spoilers*

    What I liked:
-This series plays on a trope and you have to understand that to truly enjoy these books. When I stumbled across this series, it sounded light and fun (it is) and I've enjoyed each book. As with many ABO books, I was expecting the whole insta-fated mates to baby! But each book's relationship has a different progression and outcomes.
-This is a strong addition to the series and just as fun as the other books.
-Tristan has been the star of this series, and he did not disappoint in this book. I love all the side characters, and there's a new one introduced whose quips made me smile, but Tristan is (obviously) my favorite. I seriously can't wait to read his story.
-Emmett and Bryce are cute! I read a few reviews that mention this book being less hot than the other two books, but I disagree. This book has a good mix of plot plus hot moments. And how they bond? I'm still laughing!
-There is some miscommunication (which is my least favorite thing period), but it's minor to the story and doesn't drag on.
-The epilogue is cute and a great wrap up to the story!

    What I didn't like:
-There are a lot of internal musings and running commentary that sometimes seem to go on and on. This is a personal pet peeve of mine. I skimmed through the more repetitive / predictable parts and didn't miss anything important to the story. It wasn't all frustrating or unnecessary; Emmett internally freaking out or overthinking is definitely part of his character. But I'm the kind of reader who appreciates more dialogue versus long narrative paragraphs.
-Because there is so much internal narration, the characters internalize everything and never really discuss or talk through things. When they do, it's brief, and there's still an expectation of understanding each other without verbally addressing things. This could be attributed to the whole fated mates idea, so maybe they do just get each other, but they're certainly not mind readers.
-I wish there was a touch more time between the main characters where they're just doing everyday normal things and not dealing with external problems.

I rated the other books with 3 stars, but I'm giving this one 4 stars. I feel like the overall story has a better flow and plot development than the the first and second book and, again, I loved the epilogue. This book was exactly what I was hoping for / expecting, plus a little more.

I think so far this is my favorite. Not that I don’t like Simon or Nolan, but there’s just something so stinking endearing about Emmett. He’s so bashful and shy. Every little thing makes his body blush. Especially Tristan’s over blunt mouth lol. But he’s just the most adorable little omega ever. I just love his personality. Because under that shy, sweet man, beats the heart of a romantic, and one hoping that he will get his fated mate too.

Ever since Emmett tutored Bryce last year to help keep his grades up for football, Emmett has been half in love. But something about that alpha makes him fumble everything he says and does and he can’t quit blushing. When the year was finally over, he couldn’t keep Bryce out of his mind, but thought maybe he’d get a bit of a breather. Nope. Because guess who just asked to be their new roomie, since Simon and Nolan have moved out. Sure enough, it’s Bryce and he’s here to stake his claim on the little omega that has blown his mind. Emmett is his. He doesn’t care what anyone else says. He loves the sexy little glasses and his big nerdy brain. To Bryce, Emmett is perfection incarnate and it ticks him off no one sees it. But then again, he might have to hurt someone if they did. But Bryce’s dad is making things hard on Bryce, by constantly pushing and butting in about football. And in his effort to get his dad off his back, he totally rejected Emmett after helping him through a heat and telling him they were forever. But Emmett can’t get past that hurt and needs space. And now Bryce needs to figure out a way to make it up, because he just screwed up the best thing that happened to him…..ever.

I get in college…priorities. Some it’s nothing but party days, but for others, they seriously want to get through and succeed in life. Make a career. But sometimes some priorities overcome others. And when those come along, it’s time to put things into perspective. Bryce messed up royally and he knew it. And I was with Tristan in wanting to hurt the man badly. There was no reason to reject his mate that way. No matter what the parentals say. I hate that it took something tragic to make him see the light, but sometimes that’s what it takes. Sometimes we have to have the very core of ourselves shaken in order to make us see what’s been in front of us all along. And Emmett was it. Emmett has been the one all along, who’s been there, shyly waiting in the background, hoping and waiting for Bryce to make things right and claim him. And Emmett deserves the best. He doesn’t deserve to be cast away or treated any different. He deserves to be loved for the man he is.

I think Tristan’s story is going to run a close second for favorite for me. I love his personality as well and his lack of filter. Plus his exuberance for life. It’s just like a ball of sunshine constantly making you smile. He’s makes Emmett so flustered all the dang time, but he also helps Emmett come out of his shell a bit more. I love them both. Something about these two have just hit me hard. So, yeah, I can’t wait for Tristan’s story too.

This was sweet, full of bumbling alpha and amazing omega.

Bryce and Emmett were absolutely perfect for each other. Both stumbling their way into something beautiful (and so very hot).
It had its heart squizing moments, its sweet moments and its laugh out loud moments.
I haven't laughed so hard reading a book I had to stop in quite some time, but this book definitely did that.

    Amazing story, really recommend

Easy reading once again. This series is an all in, easily engaging read that are light hearted and impossible to put down. I really love how straightforward they are and how there is never any doubt the main characters are 100% meant to be together. I loved Emmett and his Alpha they were great and instantly love able. Looking forward to Tristan's story when it finally comes out.
