- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2024Cochet begins this series with much world building embedded into the short story. The MCs are elves who admit to more than the supervisor-subordinate relationship and introduces the MCs for the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2021Kind of cute, kind of sweet, kind of fun, kind of wacky. Definitely more groveling was needed from Noel, he was pretty nasty to Tim, which was a little hard to get past. Tim was sweet and deserved to be treated so much better. Once certain things came to light, Noel's attitude was a little easier to understand. I always want a happily ever after so I'm glad they were able to work through things!
I did like the world and characters that Charlie Cochet created, in North Pole City, and will be checking out the rest of the books.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2019This author always draws you into her world and keeps you enthralled until the very end. And I love a good grouchy MC(probably cause I am lol) and Charlie Cochet has some the best grouchy but oh so lovable characters. A great short but sweet holiday romance with just a pinch of intrigue and action. Definitely reccomend.

North Pole City with its elf and fairy residents provided magical christmas vibes.
Tim and Noel was adorable and their adventure was quick but exciting!
Though this was a short little story I enjoyed it a lot!

Ms Cochet created a charming world of Winter and Christmas characters living their lives in North Pole City. While enemies to lovers relationship between Tim and Noel didn't completely work for me - Noel was very naughty and Tim was a little bit too forgiving, the city and it's inhabitants were an absolute delight. I loved the idea of all the well known mystical Christmas creatures as people with feelings, beliefs, politics, court intrigue and a healthy dose of magic. This was low angst, mild steam dual POV Christmas Wonderland romance. I enjoyed it.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this previously released holiday book with a new cover!
This is the first short in this holiday series involving magical mayhem in North Pole City! Here we have a bit of enemies to lovers with an underlying mayhem storyline. My biggest disappointment is just the length. We don't get much character development out of a short.
I really liked that this is how I see north pole life. It felt realistic that there would/could be bad guys and trouble in a magical place which I appreciated since most holiday stories are about how perfectly perfect the north pole is.
Overall, an incredibly short teaser of a holiday romance that left me wanting more. Onto book 2!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely Little Christmas Tale.
This is a cute and fun short story of intrigue and dirty dealings at the Noth Pole, a perfectly enjoyable read just before Christmas. Tim is the sweetest little elf who at first is sorely put upon and thought little of because he didn't come up to his famous Father's standards. Noel seems to be a petty, vindictive person, but maybe he has his reasons. A lovely read and there is more, another look into North Pole City all about two other prominent characters in this tale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Christmas Tale
Lovely tale of romance between two elves living in North Pole City. They find adventure and a lasting love in this short story. To find out any more you need to read it for yourself.
Such a contrast to the THIRDS series (just finished book 2 before reading this - same author but such different and opposite worlds!)
Very talented author!

4.0 out of 5 stars a really sweet read 🎄💝🎄
There’s nothing like a little magic at Christmas. Tim and Noel have a really rough start. But with an incredible adventure ahead, love and peace remain in the kingdom.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and light-hearted
This is a cute Christmas read that paints a wonderful picture of what a Christmassy land should look like. Great for getting in the holiday spirit, I was intrigued to see how Rudy and Jack Frost were characterised (despite not being the main characters of this book). Tim and Noel definitely had some classic enemies to lovers going on, although I'm still not clear why exactly Noel began acting as he did. Overall, a short, light-hearted read to get you in the Christmas mood.
