Overview

Mira's Way, Book 2 of The Miramonde Series, continues the mesmerizing tale of a Renaissance-era female artist and the modern-day art scholar who risks everything to learn her secret.

1504: Young artist Mira wants nothing more than a peaceful life by the sea, painting portraits of wealthy merchants. But when she and her new husband try to help a friend, they are catapulted into a series of dangerous adventures that leave them scrambling to survive.

2015: Art scholar Zari races through France, working feverishly to connect Mira with a series of masterful unsigned portraits. Meanwhile, an academic rival peddles his theory that the works were made by a famous male artist. Will Mira be lost to history forever?

About the Author

Amy Maroney grew up in a family of bookworms and was happiest perusing the shelves of her local library, checking out the maximum number of books each week and harboring dreams of writing her own novels one day. Now she lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family. She studied English literature at Boston University and public policy at Portland State University, and worked for many years as a writer and editor of nonfiction. When she's not diving down research rabbit holes, she enjoys hiking, drawing, dancing, and, of course, reading. The Girl from Oto and Mira's Way are the first two novels in her historical trilogy, The Miramonde Series. She is currently working on the third book in the series.
