5 stars!! What an emotional ride I just took!! This is book one of the “Finding Love” series and I believe can be read as a stand alone. But I will say it ends with a cliffy regarding the next couple. Wow, if this is book one I can’t wait for the next books!! First off, I absolutely adore that you get to see all the characters from her “Fighting” series. I really enjoyed that series as well. When I read a book like this one I go into it hoping it has that “extra” goodness. Something that makes it stand out. I have read a million military romances, and the other thing too (which I won’t ruin for those who have not read), so I just jump in. Well, my friends, this is definitely not like the others. This book got me. I shed a lot of tears during this book. Even tears of happiness and tears from seeing them rise above. I laughed my butt off at parts as well. What I have noticed with this author is she has an uncanny way of making all these characters relatable. Making you feel like you know them all. Feel like you understand them. The words just flew off the page. This is a beautifully broken, sexy, funny, hopeful, heart wrenching story that you will want to read and not put down!!

    I’m so obsessed with Ryan and Micaela! I was craving a little @authornikkiash so I went for this one! I loved it! Ryan was an absolute dream! A book boyfriend dream!! He was strong, emotionally available, open, honest, and incredibly loving! The love and passion he had for Micaela was so intoxicating. ❤️‍🔥 He spent his life searching and leaving, never finding his place and then she stumbled in and his world changed. Seriously, if you haven’t fallen head over ass for him yet, just read this book! 💯 I truly loved Micaela was well, along with all of the other characters! I laughed, I definitely cried and my heart is full!!

    And the fact that miscommunication had no part in this book was fabulous! I never once found myself yelling at either character. They both struggled with so much but never shied away from expressing their emotions. Micaela lived with so much fear that she would lose another person she loved that finding and falling for Ryan was risky for her. And poor Ryan running because he never felt he had a place that would fit him made my heart hurt. They found love and safety with each other. And their HEA was so good!!

    I really enjoyed this book. It was packed full of emotions. My heart absolutely went out to Micaela. She was so in love with Ian (her late husband). And when he died, I'm sure a part of her died too. Then something miraculous happened. She found her heart again. She was healing. And it was wonderful. I couldn't imagine losing a spouse that way. But it was amazing how Ryan made her whole and neither knew it.

    Ryan was SO mad when he found out Micaela was pregnant. I can completely understand both reasonings. But his reaction was pretty true to life. He was hurt. And confused. And surprised.

    I cried like a baby when Micaela gave Ryan the photo album. It was packed full of meaning and emotion. It was heartfelt and a classic touch. I laughed when Micaela burned dinner, washed a red sweater that turned everything pink. And put laundry detergent in the dishwasher. I haven't had this happen but I know it does. And Micaela had a small breakdown. But there was more to it.

    I really enjoyed this book. I really liked Ryan and Micaela together. And it made me so happy when Micaela realized she couldn't live without Ryan. Made my heart get all mushy. I loved it.

    This book was shared and recommended on an fb page. It was a huge, popular hit in our reading group. So, of course, I had to get it! It wasn't what I expected. I think the girls were extra emotional because it wasn't that big of a tear jerker (to me), but it does have a sad part when McKayla (I know that's not how you spell it) loses her husband. I just wasn't emotionally attached to this book, maybe?

    I'd recommend it if you're looking for a small little story. It's written really well. It moves forward. You're not left with a cliffhanger either. It just wasn't my kind of book.

    This is the first book in the Finding Love series and a spin off to other series by Nikki (all of which I loved). From the moment I picked up the book and began to read I fell in love with Michaela and Ryan's story and it was amazing and I loved seeing some of my favourite characters to come to life on the page again!

    This book, and their story had a sombre start that had me crying, but as their sweet yet sexy romance developed I was smiling and in parts laughing. It was nothing less than I expected from the amazing writing and stories Nikki has delivered before. I knew before I even pre-ordered MKOL I would love it and it would be incredible, and I 100% wasn't wrong!

    I honestly couldn't put the book down, and didn't want it to end at the same time! And the ending! Oh my! I need book 2, like now!!!!

    If you take anything from this review, it's that this book is incredible and a definite must read for your TBR list!

    I read Through His Eyes recently by Nikki Ash not so long ago, it was my first book by her and I absolutely loved it. So here I am jumping in for more and my goodness they just get better!

    This book was emotional from the start, the king that rips your heart out glues back together again just to crack it a bit more.

    Our two leads are Michaela and Ryan, it’s clear though they both don’t want there to be the chemistry is instant!

    I love secret pregnancy books and this one hit the craving I had. Two broken people that meet for a short time and try to heal each other a little.

    The emotional parts were well written and did I cry three times during some of the scenes? You bet I did. My heart broke for both Ryan and Micaela.

    I'm going to venture on to the next book in this series soon.
