    Olivia Copland and her daughter are leaving London going home to LA. For Olivia a relationship has gone so wrong. Hilary Palmer is returning home after traveling to forget someone. They meet on the flight home. Sparks fly but the timing seems off. Hilary settles in and take a a job dancing in a bar. The pay is good and helps her get her feet on the ground so she can renew her nursing licence. Olivia doesnt know what's next but a night out brings them together again. They connect but Olivia has something that she is not dealing with and hard to get past. Just as they are honest with each other and building a relationship Olivia's ex comes to town. Her behavior says she has changed, will it cost Hilary their love. I loved these two women and the strength it took them both to heal. They each had difficult issues to work through and supporting each other deepened a very special love. The steamy intimacy was so much hotter because they had an emotional closeness. Gracie was such a delightful brightness in the story. The relationship with her Mom brought laughter and joy in Gracie's special spirit. The romance was bonded more because Haley and Gracie hit it off from the moment they met. The dialogue kept me laughing and their sexy connection Olivia and Haley had could be felt. The very beautiful way Olivia journeyed though what happened in London before she left me crying. Claire Highton Stevenson has given a romance full of laughter, twists, compassion and growth. The steamy hot scenes are tenderly 🔥. This is a delicious read that is full of so much story. I loved it and could not put it down.

    I was hooked into this story from page one. The obvious chemistry between Olivia and Hilary from the onset is what kept you wanting to read more. Once you realize what Olivia has suffered at her ex’s hands, you can’t help but root for Hilary and Olivia’s relationship. Even with its ups and downs the heart wrenching and heartbreaking scenes was so well written you can honestly feel the hurt and pain, especially their first sexual contact. I had tears.... I can definitely see another story with this couple. I am a big fan of Claire Highton- Stevenson and she did not disappoint.

    Once I started reading I could stop. Amazing book from beginning to end. I can't believe it took me this long to read her books. I recently read, Leaving Bree, which was amazing as well. The only issue I have with her books are the sex scenes. For this one I thought their first time together would be explosive, but it fell flat. Then the other two semi explosive scenes fell flat and unfinished. If it wasn't for that I would give her books 10 stars if I could. Claire your books are amazing, but work on the buildup to the sex scenes, give us more, seal the deal. Overall, I Loved the romance between Olivia and Hilary, it was so sweet. The patience and love Hilary showed Olivia was truly beautiful. Gracie and Cynthia were amazing additions to the story as well. Would love to see a continuation of their story felt it needed an epilogue, ending was kind of abrupt.

    I couldn’t put this book down because and was finished in one day. There were some heavy topics that are treated in a great way by the author. Especially because one of the topics is something that often just doesn’t exist in the mind of lots of people. So really thank you Claire for bringing this up and letting the MC‘s deal with it the way they did. Claire Highton-Stevenson already was one of my favorite authors and this book just made me love her writing even more. Can’t wait for the next book and highly recommend this one.
