About the authors
Bláithín O’Reilly Murphy is the author of Distinctive Weddings; Tying the Knot without the Rope Burns, The Meaning of Purple Tulips and soon to be published It Started with a Gift as well as the short stories Sealed with a Christmas Kiss and Sausage Rolls for Everyone. In addition to writing fiction, she also ghostwrites non-fiction works for discerning clients. Bláithín retired from her award-winning wedding planning career in 2017 to start a family and is mum to two beautiful angel daughters in heaven and one personality-filled little dude!
She loves to write festive-filled romances that keep the readers on their toes featuring female characters who haven’t yet realised their own strengths. Her latest story, ‘Sausage Rolls for Everyone’ is a festive-filled tale of accepting oneself and love in all its forms and can be found in the Christmas Collective’s second publication The Mistletoe Mixtape. Bláithín’s first short story ‘Sealed with a Christmas Kiss’ found in the Christmas Collective’s first publication More than Mistletoe is the enticing prequel to her festive novel ‘It Started with a Gift’ which was shortlisted for the Penguin Christmas Love Story Publication Competition in 2021. She is obsessed with Hallmark Christmas Movies and Korean Dramas which she says gives her writing an emotional edge!
Bláithín is never far from a toasted scone or glass of Prosecco and she tries her best not to kill her plants in her spare time. She lives near the Irish coast with her darling husband, adorable son, and four cute furbabies. Her great ambition for later life is to be the crazy cat lady living on the corner of your street that everyone secretly loves and to own a bookstore, where everyone gathers for readings, signings, and socialising; and hopefully buys a book or twenty. She can be found oversharing in her IG stories and trying to sound witty and relevant on Twitter as @WhatBlaDidNext
As with the heroine in her soon-to-be-released debut novel “A Dream of Lazy Sundays”, new chick-lit author, Sarah Shard’s world shattered when her father passed away suddenly in 2015, triggering a sequence of events which turned her world upside down. Amid the chaos, she found solace in the magic of the written word, thus beginning the start of an unexpected new chapter.
Away from her award-winning career in project management, Sarah now spends as much time as she can immersed in the fictitious villages she creates from the balcony of her home in Saddleworth, England.
Sarah is a lifelong fan of chick-lit and romantic comedies, and she hopes to bring moments of joy, frustration, laughter, surprise and love to her readers. She writes as she reads, creating the (almost) perfect book boyfriends she would love to fall in love with, but as in real life, love doesn’t come easy. Her stories take you on the ups and downs in the search for that happy ending every reader hopes for!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2022More than Mistletoe is a collection of twelve very different short love stories full of festive feels! The stories cover a wide range including swoon-worthy characters, second chances and happy endings. It has classic romance, festive thrillers, LGBTQ+ love stories, hilarious romantic comedies and historical romances.
This volume is a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit because while Christmas features in each story they aren't the standard Christmas story one would expect. You have stories where a couple is brought together by the work of ghosts, stories of letting go of a past love and opening yourself up to a friend, an older couple learning how to experience the holiday without their children and even a story about an assassin. When I say these twelve stories are diverse I really mean it none of them give off a "didn't I just read this" vibe at all. And each author adds a unique narrative style that makes the stories fun! So buckle up and check out this collection of short stories to get ready for the holidays!

5.0 out of 5 stars Something festive for everyone.
Curl up with a blanket, open the mince pies and enjoy this Christmas treat.
This is an anthology of 12 feel good festive stories. From the first story, I was humming Driving Home For Christmas.
With the variety of styles there's something for everyone. Every story though was just fantastic. I couldn't possibly pick a favourite as I loved them all for different reasons.
This collaboration is just heartwarming. Meeting during a writing competition they have collectively created something that just warms your heart. This has introduced me to some fantastic writers and I can't wait to see what happens next. Some of the short stories will be available in full length too. I'm ready to hit that pre order button.
If you love Christmas and romance you'll love this. That cover is also just stunning. A perfect stocking filler. I now have a kindle copy and a paperback copy. I couldn't resist. It looks perfect on my festive shelf.

3.0 out of 5 stars Feel good factor in some stories
Most have a chick flick feel good factor, mixed bag of authors. Some stories completely ott but you would smile all the same. Festive feel, I liked the empty nest story but not as fond of medical breakthrough heart transplant story, this is another readers favourite so tastes differ. Easy, enjoyable read, but does not leave you wanting more in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Read!
A really fabulous book to get you in the Christmas mood. 12 brilliant short stories. August in December was a real stand-out for me humour and heart in equal measure. Make sure to grab yourself a copy today!

4.0 out of 5 stars Christmas came early
This is a wonderful eclectic mix of stories for the festive season. I have laughed and cried through several of these tales. 'August in December' was one that stood out for me, along with 'Christmas at The Little Blu Bookshop' (Blu is correctly spelt just check out the story)
I loved the final story 'The Last Christmas ' but feel a little disappointed that I have to wait until next year to find out more.
***Some of the other stories in this wonderful anthology are also prequels or part of new books coming next year. This is why my score is 4* I would have liked to have gone immediately to more books by these talented writers. Worth checking out but will leave you wanting.
