Morning Madison Series Box Set: Books 1-4 Kindle Edition
When my boss's son starts hitting on me at work,
I have to figure a way out.
I lie and tell him I have a boyfriend.
So now I need a fake boyfriend.
The only person who comes to mind is my neighbor.
I don't even know if he is gay, but he sure is hot.
And while I don't want anything or anyone tying me down,
I'd sure as hell let him tie me up.
Can we pull off our fake relationship without pulling off each other's clothes?
Or will this relationship blossom into something real?

- Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2019This set of books are totally worth it! Ian Finn is an awesome writer, I love all of his books and it is great to have the first four books of the Morning Madison series in one place. They are all stories with hot and sweet characters, the plot is often funny and a whole lot sexy, you will definitely fall in love with these guys. There is not a boring moment while reading this series. If you love gay romances with happy endings, you are in the right place.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2019I liked the stories in all these books . lots of up and downs in these stories.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2021Its hard for me to review this gay romance collection because I read each story in and out of other books, and I kept forgetting characters and happenings.
Except for a few little editorial mistakes, it was written well.
The last story was mostly set in a family compound with a cast of wealthy characters indulging in competitive family sports; I kept thinking of articles I'd read about the Kennedy family at their Hyannis Port compound in the nineteen-fifties, and their competitive family sports fanaticism.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2018Wow! What a great set of books. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I could gush for an hour or more about these four books! But, why give away the fun of experiencing them. It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor or in between, when love comes knocking at your door, you answer. Want to or not. Real love doesn't take no or not right now for and answer, it always wins!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 17, 2020An amazingly romantic series by author Ian Finn! As a woman, I was not sure how I would react to romance between gay men; but as a human being, I connected to these stories on a profound level! Sweet! Enduring! Romance swoon-worthy!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2018I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
My rating is rounded up, because I felt the stories got progressively better with each edition to the series (the last story Pretend for Me is my favorite).
Sing for Me
That Alex and Elijah have know each other from childhood helps with some of the suspension of disbelief when it comes to how fast their relationship develops, I still think it was very fast to go from perceiving each other as rivals to completely in love. But if you want a cute, short insta-love story it works.
Play for Me
I didn't really have a problem with Will and Brent's relationship, they worked for me. What I had trouble with is the set-up for Brent to be Will's fake boyfriend. I felt like if Zach, Cait, and Marie are going to force a fake relationship for the good of Will's career then they should have set-up a backstory (how they met, what Brent does for a living, etc), so it made some of the interactions seem off that they don't have that. I also think that Brent's PTSD gets "solved" too easily (as much as I wish love was an instant fix, it just isn't).
Return for Me
I wanted to like this story more, but there was just something that didn't quite work for me. I think part of it was the transition between the MCs being in the closet and never having a real relationship to out and in love. It came across as too sudden for all of the baggage (especially with Duncan). Although there were certainly scenes that I enjoyed in the story, there were parts that ended up feeling choppy to me. I had been worried that the time flow, with some chapters going back in time, would throw me off, but I think it worked well for the story. It gives the background when it makes sense in the story without feeling like an info dump.
Pretend for Me
Wes and Flynn were cute together. Their relationship, though starting out as fake, wasn't drama filled, but more discovering that given the chance they work well together despite their different backgrounds. I liked Wes's family (or at least the immediate family!), they have such a nice, loving nature. I did feel the relationship was a bit too insta-love at times , but the cuteness between Wes and Flynn made up for most of it.
Grant for me was a bit of a sore spot. He proved himself to be more that just an annoyance and I'm not sure that I buy the solution as a long-term solution.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2021Four unlikely couples with magical love stories.
Each one beautiful and touching in its own right but they build to a emotional, touching and joyous conclusion.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2019Horrible book. Would not recommend the book or author.
