So good!!!

So good!!!
I've been dying for Jesse and Q's story for it seems like a very long time but all the wait was so worth it, this story was beautiful and everything I was waiting for. Q and Jess are complete opposites, while Q has always been mr. social, Jess has always tried to be invisible. Her story is heartbreaking and she has seen things no kid should experience but she was lucky enough to find a great support system in Sunny Pines. While Quincy left to become a successful football player, Sunny Pines has always been home so when something terrible happens to him he comes back, but he is lost. Everything changes when Jess is there to bringing back to life. Q and Jess's story is beautiful. You see how they grow up and the adversities they faced, but you also see their friendship, connection and love. I can't wait for the next book in the series, I think Claudia is going to break my heart in the best way ever with Prescott's story.

    I really enjoy the story
While i was reading i did think about how there was not much story about Q and his parents or fam it was mostly about jess and her family
I do like this type or tropes so i enjoyed this story a lot probably going to buy the paperback

    "And the pain will fade
I'll get back on my feet
It's not the end of me
    My heart is still open
I'm bruised but not broken" — Joss Stone

Jessamine's story was not a pretty one, not an easy one, and definitely not filled with happiness and love. Yet, despite her tragic and traumatic childhood, he still had fight and fire in her veins. She was still open to possibility.

"It wasn't just one thing that made him an enigma. It was an accumulation of a bunch of little things...a lot of things about Quincy were beautiful."

He was also one of the only people to truly see Jess and what lay beneath her stony exterior. Sure, he had his own demons—ones that caused Jess great discomfort at times—but ultimately, he was a decent guy.

Their story was an emotional rollercoaster. It was littered with drama, patched with laughs, and packed with angst.
It did jump back and forth a bit but it was easy to follow and for it to be told any other way would not do the story justice.

The ending was no surprise to me, it was the perfect icing on the cake for Q and Jess, who definitely deserved their happily ever after.

"Growing up, I’d never liked my home because it didn’t feel safe, but I did in Quincy’s arms. It didn’t matter where we lived or if we moved again, because home was in his arms. There was no place I’d rather be."

The whole homecoming series is filled with books that have the cutest story lines and characters that make you want to move to a small town and fall in love 🥰 we have finally gotten to Jess and Q story after watching them be coworkers and kinda friends in the pervious books. Getting more back story on their feelings and thoughts really gave them some great character development. This book is so full of unresolved feelings, angsty moods and a small plot twist I did not see coming! Can’t wait for the series to continue so I can continue to follow these awesome characters through their lives

While remembering the connections between so many supporting characters was a bit confusing at the beginning, the way everything and everyone gets woven together to form the support network and story behind Q and Jess is worth it. These two characters are flawed and yet so perfect. They battle their feelings and their issues and fight against each other while fighting for everything important to them. There was a Rollercoaster of emotions and I totally didn't cry (lie). I fell in love while they were falling in love and I could not have loved this story more.

5 TRULY AMAZING STARS!! I love this author dark stories, but she truly amazed me with this angsty small town book. Quincy and Jess hit all my emotion buttons with their beautiful story. You must read this book or any book by this author....SHE IS AMAZING.

If you want all the feels this is an amazing book to grab! Fall in love with Jess and Q's amazing story from ups and downs to HEA.

Oh where to start with this one because there is so many things I absolutely loved about this book! It brings you back to the past then present day seeing how everything changes with a little twist to their situations. It's heartbreaking, heartwarming, witty, fun, and a little naughty to give you the perfect read.

First off Sunny Pines is this small-town where nothing major happens for the most part unless you are Jess, who lives a life full of tragic events as she grows up. This character was heartbreaking to read at times from her situation at home and how she never felt like she fit in or had someone just for herself. Her bond to her little sister was one of a mother to a daughter more than sisterly. I felt for this character so much and it was hard to see her struggle while always giving her sister all the things she was denied. Her sorta friendship with Quincy as teens was just a friendly thing on his part but you could see she wanted more from him at times. Flash forward several years later you now have Jess teaching elementary school and Quincy the big NFL player living out his dreams with the whole town supporting him along the way. One run in and a connection that both will try to fight or explain away ends up becoming way more than either could bargain for by the end.

Quincy is a lighthearted charming football player ladies man even in high school and as he went off to the NFL. He didn't do real relationships his only love was his game on the field. So imagine when his once sorta friend/barista co-worker Jess was all grown up and no longer looking gothic but as an adult woman now, catches his eye but is quick to deny what he feels. So when an unfortunate accident happens and Mr. NFL comes home to sulk and drink himself away the one person in this tiny town who has lived through unbearable circumstances gives him the fire he needs to get it together. Along the way what was supposed to be two people needing to find a release as bed buddies has lines blurred and heartbreaking events that will cause three years of miscommunication and a bit of a surprise reunion.

This book has so many emotional moments that are heartbreaking but it also has the light and naughty moments mixed into it that gives you the perfect read. I love that this author is so versatile from her dark romance to her light/emotional romances, she never disappoints. Her character growths and world building is absolutely perfect in this one. You are pulled into this book and just feel for each one of these characters. So get ready to fall in love once again in this small-town romance with Jess and Q.

I voluntarily signed up for an ARC to give an honest review with nothing to gain. I just absolutely love this author and no matter the content of each of her books I'm always drawn in and left with yet another amazing read. So yes grab this one if you need an emotional read with a HEA. It's a definite must read!

Could be seen as rather formulaic, but I enjoyed the book, because of the characters. The angst and heartache was tough, so if that's not your thing be prepared.

Overall, a story well done. Buy it, read it and enjoy.👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

Whilst this book was about Quincy and Jess it was good to read about the others from previous books.
Quincy we knew to be the cocky lad from the coffee shop, Jess was the one who dealt with so much in her short life and looked after her younger sister Rosie. Whilst Jess had a terrible upbringing that changed once Juliet and Jake became her family. She was happy that Rosie bloomed in the family but Jess still detached herself from all the gang, whilst they all loved her, Jess couldn't acknowledge that they did. Her relationship with Quincy was one of annoyance until they started a relationship without anyone knowing until it wrong . 3 years later **** . Thought the reconciliation was a bit too quick and easy. Still enjoyed it tho

So at first I wasn't all that bothered about jess and quincy's story but thought I may as well read it as I was reading the whole series form the start. And it definitely did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the relationship between both characters. Reading about all the other characters was great as well, especially prescott. In this boon he truly showed himself to be a caring guy toward jess which was what she needed. Jess's story in the previous book was heart breaking and quincy was just so perfect and good to her.

The only thing that was annoying, as was the case with all previous books, was some of the errors in the writing. Doesn't seem like it was properly proof read beforehand. However, still another good story by the author.

This is a second chance book with a cute little secret thrown in. It has a good storyline and the side characters were just brilliant. I love how they lived like a little tight knit family. I was so invested into seeing Jess & Quincy's relationship development. I really loved them together because there was such a strong connection and chemistry between them. Also little Quinny was a delight to read about! I adored this book and ended up reading it in one sitting!
