    FBI BAU Agent Carly See is amazing at finding clues. This is because victims “speak” to her after they are dead. Their messages are sometimes confusing to Carly, and she has to work hard to understand them. Her partner and mentor, Lyle, suspects there’s something odd about Carly’s ability to come up with clues that seem to come out of nowhere, but he doesn’t know just how she does it. He is respectful of Carly’s ability though, and doesn’t press her to explain it. In this story, there are seemingly two unconnected murders in a small town, but when a third murder occurs in that same town, Carly and Lyle travel there to help the local police force. It’s a very interesting story, and the murderer’s reason for killing the his victims is quite unusual. Great story! Great series!

Is she alive? Is she dead and silent? Can Carly find the serial killer she’s hunting. This series keeps me coming back. I’m about to start book four.

    ## I enjoyed reading this as part of the Carly See series. However, there wasn't really any suspense as advertised in the overview. Still a great 'follow the clues' mystery. And I wish the author would let Carly solve the crime after investigating. She had no clue who the killer was until he came after her.

    This book starts out with a Younger woman being killed in her bed, but before that happens the killer talks to her, and gives her a penny to hold in her hand. He then tells her to hold still so the knife he's holding at her throat doesn't cut her! He tells her she will be joining her best friend who died very recently, then kills her! Carly and her partner Lyle are called in to go to investigate the murders. They begin to realize the man they are looking for may be sort of a mercy killer, but they have no clue who it might be. They arrest a local officer because he stole a medal from the first victim, but soon realize he does not match the killer's profile. When the killer is found it is a huge shock as to who it is, and Carly is in huge danger of being killed! No more spoiler alerts, you need to read the book to see what happens! I highly recommend this book!

    Loved this book 3 in the Carly See series. The killer was so twisted with his desire to grant his victims' mercy. Carly's partner is catching on to the fact that something is off about her. Wait until he finds out about her ability with regards to the dead.
