Obvious: Great family bond and hot romance. I love how Matthew just kept ogling Oliver when he was at the gym and then finally broke down and talked to him and enjoy his company. The attraction for each other was so strong and that is what made a good romance. I loved that Matthew wasn't trying to push Oliver to say something to his family but it was also very frustrating for him because he loved Oliver so much. It was a great addition to the Finn Club. Great writing!

I’m glad that Matthew’s story was shorter given that I’d rather read about the “original Finns” instead of the distant cousins. Written in third person and only in Matthew’s head (except for one paragraph in Ken’s head). There were a few sexy scenes and some hilarious moments. My only real issue is how quickly things got very physical between Matthew and Oliver considering Matthew is “new to the gay/bi thing” and Oliver doesn’t want to be part of his experiment. Still a fun read.

Matthew & Oliver’s story is perfect for when you’re craving something steamy, funny, and low angst. I could (and have) read it over and over. Plus you get little updates on some of your favorite Finns and Waynes!

Loved Oliver and Matt. This is a great book. Love the way they met and their commitment to each other. Finding their way and coming to terms with issues they each have. This author is one of the best. Moves smoothly and to the point.
I always look forward to the next one. Thanks for a great read

All the Finn Factor stories are great - full of fun, laughter, angst, love and sexy times with some great characters. This one, however well written, was a disappointment purely because of the length. The story feels unfinished with so many obvious areas that could be expanded into a proper novel-length book. It has that stilted feel of short stories written for compilation books. I understand it originally was one of those and has been expanded, but it really could be so much better than it is now.

I am so glad this was the extended version of this story. If I had read the original short, I would not have been a happy camper. I do not like abrupt endings with questions. Fortunately I got most of my questions answered. Rather satisfactorily even. Loved the way this ended. *sigh* I do enjoy this series.

Rachel Grace writes wonderful gay-for-you stories. Actually, she writes beautiful love stories about finding that ONE - or more - that makes life complete. I believe that has been why I have been so compelled by this series. The hope and love found in each story is inspiring. Thank you.

This was a surprise to me and i had no idea the book was coming out. i didn't know much about Micheal him and oliver was very hot together and i really enjoyed this book. i enjoy all books with the Finns but considering i wasn't really waiting for his story, it was a nice surprise and great read.

I loved this originally when it was a freebie. I expected bits interspersed in the original with this expansion but instead it was a whole section added where the original left off. The restaurant scene: I was crying and cheering all at once. It made a great short story completely become a must-have for me.

Best part is you do not have to read the rest of the Finn Factor series to fully understand Oliver and Matthew. But you will be so so happy if you do!

It was so lovely to be back in the Finn world, I’ve read a few over the years but now I think I need to start from the beginning. Watching Matty and Ollie fall in love was just so fun. The snark, the humour, sexy times were ridiculously amazing

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Irresistible Finn
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 24, 2019
I was delighted to discover a new Finn Factor book. This was a shorter read than most in the series but didn't suffer at all for it. It had me laughing out loud at the interactions between characters as Matthew sought advice on how to approach Oliver. I was quickly drawn into the story and completely invested in the characters, especially Matthew as the story was told exclusively from his PoV. I was so invested in Matthew's journey that I did shed a few tears at a point where he was left particularly vulnerable. Thankfully I know the Finn's hearts (and mine) are in always in safe hands with R. G. Alexander! This book could be read as a stand alone but there are mentions and cameos from characters introduced in earlier books. Personally I would recommend reading the series in order so you can fully appreciate interactions between characters. Be warned you will find yourself falling in love with many more Irresistible Finns!

4.0 out of 5 stars Still feels more like short story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 2, 2023
I know that the author apparently expanded a short story to make this book, but it still feels a bit fast and rushed to me.

Not enough 'obstacles' that are traditional in these kinds of romance stories.

Unless you count the massive cultural and religious based homophobia that was needed to be surpassed to get these two finally together.

I really enjoyed this book. It had emotion, laughter, love and lots of sexy times. R. G. Alexander for me is the queen of MM romance. No one writes like her. Love this series.

I’ve loved every book in this series! However this one just fell a little flat for me. It was short, rushed and just skimmed over a lot for me to really enjoy it.
