    Great introduction to this spin-off of the Cafe' Om universe. Max has spent his entire life trusting his instincts but he's unfamiliar with his emotions when he locks eyes with Curtis. I like that he was willing to step back and open himself up to Freddie, gaining advice and a friend. Curtis impressed me by tempering his desire with the knowledge that Max needed to go at his own pace.

    Freddie was a great guy in the last book and I was so glad he got his own HEA in this one. He has so many changes in his life going on; freedom from slavery, becoming a father and a best friend, along with meeting his mate. He doesn't expect much out of life and is grateful for the little he has. Ethan tries to keep a respectful distance but can't deny the pull he feels for Freddie. I would've liked more development in their relationship. What made them fall in love with the other? What specifically did Ethan see in Freddie? Just a bit more and this would've been a five star for me. It is still well worth reading.

    I'll be adding to this review as I complete the rest of the books in the boxset.

    I have read other works by Aria Grace, unfortunately this is, in my opinion, by far the worst. The series follow the same tedious formula (will they/won't they) but with differing backdrops. The most bizarre of which is book three - possible drug assisted assault and the victim blaming the other protagonist before they end up together. Book four fails on all points. It's so bad that it's more laughable than romantic. It felt as if the author didn't know what direction the book was flowing, therefore was jarring and uncomfortable. Especially the epilogue, the two Alpha's expressing their feelings for each other whilst on the bed of the omega without including said omega. It's only an after thought that they show any concern for the omega. The only downside of reading this boxset is that I won't be reading any further books by this author.
