"My career as a writer started when I was young, writing poetry and flash fiction for my friends and family. After a few minor successes of having pieces published in anthologies, and later on-line, I decided to have a go at writing a full-length novel. My first attempt was a bit of a disaster, but after years of practice, I finally got that coveted First Contract. Since then, I've written several more novels and short stories, and I don't intend to retire for at least another 50 years."

Award-winning author, Charlotte lives in Somerset with her husband, two children, and growing menagerie of pets and can always be found with a cup of tea in her hand. When she's not writing or running around after small people and animals, she loves to eat curry and watch action movies.

Chloe had on night to convince a potential client to sell their products. As she touches down in Edinburgh she is already flustered, flying is not her thing. Then there is this handsome stranger, Ethan, who her attraction to is undeniable. Then she finds out her stock is lost, so yah this trip is not starting well except for Ethan that is.

This is one hot an sexy contemporary erotic romance with a love at first vibe. The characters are interesting and personable. Their dilemma is evident as how can they trust the chemistry and their strong feelings in such a short time? The romance has humous and tender moments but also hot sexually explicit scenes. The sex scenes are intricate to the storyline building the love story rather than detracting from it. If you enjoy your romances with heat you will enjoy this book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

    I need an Ethan. NOW!

If you’re looking for a high-end erotic short read, something with substance, a decent plot, and technically perfect, you will enjoy this. I’ve read several books by the same author, and I’ve found in every case her writing style to be fresh and clean; no frills, no flowers – just right. One Night in Edinburgh is just that, only with an additional layer of heat. You may need a fan. Or an Ethan equivalent. I don’t own a fan.
The protagonists are not away from each other for long, and that is a good thing in my opinion. There is good chemistry between them, and while they fall for each other incredibly fast, the situations and reactions seem real. I liked the fact that they acted like the adults they were.
Did I enjoy the read? Yes, very much so. I’m wondering whether there will be a night (or several) in London next. I wouldn’t mind it in the slightest.

One Night in Edinburgh by Charlotte Howard is the seventh book in the City Nights series which is a multi-author series. This is the first book I had read by the author so I was not sure what to expect. But the book description looked like it could be dirty fun so I picked it up to see. Well what I got was a whole lot of hot, sexy and dirty fun in this erotic romance. The story-line was interesting and held my attention and I loved the characters, Chloe and Ethan. I enjoyed this short story a lot.

I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Definitely hot, and technically clean, One Night in Edinburgh is a perfect read to get your motor revving.

This is my first book by the author, and I was very impressed by her skill. Her prose is well-constructed, descriptive (::: fans self :::) and easy to read. We get an immediate feel for both characters and I loved that we start with Chloe’s fear of flying. It was a great way to get to know her!

Ethan is hot, hot, hot as any good hero in an erotic romance should be. He certainly knows how to satisfy his woman and takes many opportunities to do so, in many varied and titillating places. I’m surprised Chloe could walk by the next morning (and wouldn’t have minded changing places with her a time or two, or three).

The only thing that I wasn’t fond of in the story was the ending. They’ve known each other for a day…hardly time enough to make significant, life-altering decisions based on your feelings for another person. I was crazy about the plot up until then, but just couldn’t stretch my ability to believe far enough to find the ending completely credible.

That said, I have no other complaints. Writing was both technically and aesthetically pleasing, editing was solid, plot was strong, and there was no shortage of heat. So if you’re looking for a book that will make you reach for a fan, a cold glass of water or an Ethan of your own, grab a copy.

This was a steamy, emotional, quick read!

This book was hot right from the beginning. While Chloe and Ethan made some choices that seemed, to me, to be in the realm of "unrealistic," the subsequent dialogue and monologues were much more believable. And so it went, from believable to incredible and back again, right to the end.

I liked seeing Ethan working through his transformation from "player" to something more substantial. Conversely, Chloe found herself going from "substantial" to the opposite end of the spectrum. It was interesting to read the opposites finally coming to meet somewhere in the middle.

All in all, it was one of those stories that made me think, "What if things like this really happen to people?" Hey, inspiration has to come from SOMEWHERE, right?! So maybe this story wasn't that far in the realm of "unrealistic" after all...

One Night in Edinburgh by Charlotte Howard is a wild and extremely hot romp through the city of Edinburgh. Two business people, Chloe and Ethan, hook up after she gets past a slight case of mistaken identity. There are some complications to the relationship, but their raw desire for each other keeps forcing themselves back to each other, with each encounter hotter than the previous one. Charlotte’s romance scenes are very explicit and, boy, are they well written. She also does a great job of painting a picture of the lovers. It’s a fast paced and very exciting. You can’t go wrong with spending a Night in Edinburgh.

This is the 7th book in the City Nights series. It stands alone very well though and I had no problem jumping right in even though I haven't read any of the other books.

There was plenty going on in a twenty four hour time span. It started out pretty much from the get go with a super sexy scene.

There was some mystery, charismatic characters, sex, and romance.

I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. I thought it was a really good quickie!

It's been quite a while since I've read an erotic/hot romance, and when I heard about the City Nights series through author Lisa Fox (whose One Night in New York is out this month) I was keen to find out more.

I decided to start with the places I've visited or hope to visit, and I liked the sound of the Edinburgh story so thought it would be a good way to test out the series.

It begins with business woman Chloe heading to Edinburgh to try and strike a lucrative deal, but when she meets Ethan she finds she's not focussing on her job, she's focussing on him. But when she realises she's lost her box of sample products, she thinks she's blown her chance of the pitch anyway...

I enjoyed the story in this one, although the ending was very much in the realms of fiction rather than reality. But then that's one of the reasons I read, to escape everyday life, so it didn't bother me too much. I did wish there had been more made of Edinburgh itself though, the location didn't play that big part in the story and it could have been based anywhere.

There's sex in this one pretty much from the off, but then I expected that because of the novella length and the intention of the series. That taxi scene- it's pretty hot stuff! I've read my fair share of hot romance/erotic fiction over the years, and this was well written compared to much of what's on the market.

If you like this genre, give it a whirl. It's encouraged me to read some of the other titles in the series- next stop, San Francisco!

One Night in Edinburgh is out now, published by Tirgearr.
