Orion's Circle (Sirius Wolves Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 580 ratings

According to legend, when the world is at its most desperate, the goddess Sirius will create three powerful werewolf shifters to save mankind.

Since the age of fifteen, because of his inability to shift and being classed an omega, Aden has faced imprisonment, starvation, and torture.
Three years later, on the night he is finally set free and told to run for sport, he knows the chase will finally end in his death.

But fate doesn't always side with monsters, and not all alphas use their power for greed, their strength for abuse, and their abilities for evil.

Some were made to protect. To fight. To love.

Instead, it stirred a power long forgotten—something sacred, something waiting. Now, Blaze, Darric, and Conner must risk everything to show the world that even a heart forged in suffering can become the spark that changes everything.

The legend lives.
The bond is eternal.
And together, they will rise—not just to fight the darkness, but to prove that love can be the fiercest weapon of all.

I enjoyed the storyline, and the development of the main characters. A bit too much torture and angst for my taste, but the story flowed well. Looking forward to seeing what the world and the main four characters are up to in the rest of the series.

I love shifter stories. Strong animal shifters are my favorites. From the classic beautiful wolf, to the sexy bear all the way to dragons... all good and yummy.
This is the first in the series. I really enjoyed it.
But while a stronger, possessive and domineering alpha (and there're three of those here, each more so than the last) protecting a more sweet and adorable omega is part of my liking these shifter stories, I found myself struggling with the omega in this one. Too weak, too whiny, too much of everything is what I kept thinking. And then I'd think that I wasn't fair, the guy had a very hard life, VERY hard life; and his insecurities were absolutely founded and understandable... But still, I can't help it, I found him him a bit much.
But that's pretty much my biggest issue with the story. Everything else worked for me beautifully. And by the end, I even liked the omega a little better, he's the perfect balance in the sexy circle of Orion ^^
    Next one, please!

    I guess I'd put it at a 3.5 ⭐⭐⭐

The introduction to the world and the lore is well done for the most part, but the character development and certain aspects of the plot were not. I would have liked a better understanding of Black Lake pack; the history and how the Dr was able to do what he did.

I would have also liked a better understanding of why the alpha triad was born 600 or so years before they were needed. My understanding of the legend surrounding them is a bit muddled, so that aspect of the lore could have been better. I mean I understood the events that lead up to the lore and the purpose of the Orion Circle, it is everything else that is unclear.

The relationship and dynamics between the MCs were also a bit confusing. In the steamy scenes the lack of forthright wording made it unclear what exactly was happening and to whom. I get wanting to be somewhat circumspect when describing smexy times, but this was ridiculous. Hopefully that aspect will improve in future books of this series.

Werewolf packs jostling for turf join when a non-shifting Omega completes the Circle. The 4 main characters are contrasted as the plot of this first-in-a-series grows cleverly to the final pages. Good read.

As I am a gatherer of books, I collect books and ebooks from a variety of sources: Goodreads wins, Bookhub, BookFunnel, emails from authors and publishers, and others. I do lose track of their sources. But, as a reader, I feel I should give an honest, unencumbered review for all I read.

I loved reading this wonderful book, and can't wait to read the rest of this series. Victoria Sue does a wonderful job, and she makes you feel for her characters. I loved the relationship between Aden, Blaze, Conner, and Darric. I love the action, the romance, the comedy, and the twists and turns in this book. I would recommend this book to everybody who loves paranormal werewolves, romance, comedy, mpreg, action, Dark, and a lot of twists and turns. Be prepared to cry I know I did.

My first read by this author and I am pleased to have found a shifter series unlike any I have read before.

I loved the legend of the Goddess and why she created weres. I also liked the importance of Orion's Circle and how the human Omega completes it. The aspects of the three Alphas, Blaze, Connor, and Darric are so different and unique, but together MAN are these weres powerful. Brothers from birth though not by birth, they are what is needed to help usher in peace.

Be warned, this is not a tiptoe through the tulips kind of story. Absolutely NO fluff! This story is about one young Omega's fight for survival at the hands of his treacherous pack, and the love of his three Alpha Mates helping him find his inner strength.

Oh my god this book had me in a chokehold the whole time! I was not expecting the depth of emotion I felt reading this. Not gonna lie I wanted to punch Aden in the face near the end but I am so pleasantly surprised by how good this was.

I've really enjoyed this author in the past, but this book never really clicked for me. The character that I actually liked the best was the crazy human Senator funding the doctor's experiments because she was the only one who was honest about her convictions. Aden, Blaze, Connor, & Darric were all a bit TSTL for a good portion of this book - especially for beings that can share themselves telepathically. I mean, we had miscommunications that shouldn't have even been possible with the powers shared in the Circle.

Honestly, I'm fine with just reading this book and not continuing on with the series. I don't really care to find out how things turn out.
