- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is a threesome like no one can imagine!! It’s frustrating to see these women being lied to and taken advantage of! I guess you can tell, it certainly got me riled up! Needless to say, it was a fast read for me!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2021Format: KindleI enjoyed reading Out of Your Head; the story flowed well and I was not expecting the ending. I liked how the chapters were divided by character to tell the story from different view points. There were several grammatical errors; missing words or words out of order, that interrupted the flow of reading, but overall I liked the book. I received a free copy of this book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseEmotions, lack of remorse for cheating, jealousy, etc. I had to skim through half of this book, because I wasn't interested in the characters reasoning for feeling the way they did. You would think the story would have this big, unexpected ending, but you'd be wrong on that point.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseExtremely disturbing. I cried myself to sleep one night. The characters are vivid and the story-line deeply engrossing. Ms McClelland is a hell of a writer. Expect not to be able to easily set this book aside, but also be prepared to be emotionally invested in this story. Prepare yourself to be thoroughly schooled in the depths of addiction ... drug addiction, sexual addiction, emotional addiction ...

- Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2024Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI fought to finish this book. It needs to be edited for grammar and all the characters were unlikable,at least to me. I expected the detectives to have a larger part in the story but it was mostly past and present jumps back and forth between the two women. The three main characters were all unbalanced, delusional and spiteful.
As mentioned in the title, the whole story was depressing.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2025Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI give the author a lot of credit for writing this novel. Not quite my genre. The one thing I found frustrating was much of this was written first person. It was confusing to me the way it skipped around, which character was actually being presented. The goal of a good story is where you put yourself in the role of the various characters, i.e. you are living part of the story through the characters. To be fair, I expect other people may have a different take on this. It was hard to read the whole thing and finally just read the last two chapters to see what happened at the end. I guess the moral of the book is to stay away from crazy women. Please take my critique with a grain of salt and continue writing the type of stories you like to write about. Best regards!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThe dynamics of the story are quite unique and is grabbing attention very well from the readers from of view. The language is simple and straight for better understanding of even the beginners.
The story revolves around the life of two women , one men and the police investigation desperate to find out the reality. In here reality refers to the accident ,crime, drugs, alcohol addiction and many more shocking things .
All I can say about this wonderful edition is that you are not gonna end of boredom because this book is to be done in one go because of its twists and turns and ups and downs .
To find out all the answers of your questions about this tragic mysterious book you have to read it .

5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional
Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseI read this title in just one day because from the outset found it really difficult to put down. I thought I had it all figured out but was so glad I was wrong-footed. It's original, compelling and a real attention-grabber. And I suggest you buy your copy now.
It's a story about trust, betrayal and how the secrets the people close to us keep can affect us in the most impactful of ways. I can't say too much about the plot without giving it away but the characters are realistic and written superbly, their emotions really felt, and there are plenty of surprises to keep you guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and highly recommend this and McClelland's previous thriller Under Your Skin, a powerful twisty novel about domestic abuse and addiction that will completely grip you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast Moving
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis multi-point of view tale tells the story of betrayal. It jumps from one of the main player to other as the tale of the death of the child unfolds. You will hear from the police to the court about the case which I found interesting. I found the characters to be well-drawn as the plot raced ahead. An interesting twist at the end.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nicely written
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA nicely written story but not a comfortable read. So much sadness. So much bitterness. A grim reminder of the days we live in.
