Priyamvada & Co. (The Menon Women Book 2) Kindle Edition
A heart-warming tale about love, friendship, and following one’s heart. The destinies of an unlikely trio converge at the making of a movie.
The eldest Menon daughter and school drama teacher, Neha Menon, must find a way to face the hard times and deal with the loss that threatens to destroy her family.
Prithvi Nair’s production house Priyamvada is his grandfather’s legacy and the reason it’s so close to his heart. But the moment Prithvi tries to reopen the company that has been shut down for decades, it finds itself embroiled in one controversy after another and he can’t seem to get it off the ground.
Aditya Shankaran is a writer-director with big dreams of directing his debut movie but there are no takers for his script. Down on luck, his future looks bleak. There is only one chance to end the troubles that are set at odds with launching his career and winning the hand of the woman he loves.
Prithvi, Aditya and Neha meet under unusual circumstances for the making of a movie that will change their lives in different ways, push them into the world of treachery and deceit, and force them to question their choices.
Time is running out. They must quell the sabotage before the final blow to all their hopes and dreams.

Although there are two captivating, well-fleshed out main characters with Neha and Prithvi, I was just as interested in all the other characters making an appearance. There’s Ria, Neha’s teenage daughter who grapples with the sudden loss of her father. And Aditya, who finds himself depending on way too many people and hoping to win the heart and hand of the woman he loves. The ‘antagonist’ was written very believably too, and though I guessed most of the connections, the book gripped me from beginning to end.
At times heart-wrenching, at other times heart-warming – and at all times vividly colorful and appealing – this tale rivals the epic world of movies it alludes to.

The cover was simply gorgeous and eye-catching, a big improvement from the cover of the last book. I absolutely judged this book by its cover, and guess what, it didn't disappoint!
Title - 3.5/5
Blurb - 4/5
Story plot - 4.5/5
Narration - 4.5/5
This is the second book in the series, but can also be read as a standalone. The story follows Neha, the eldest Menon woman as she faces a tragic loss and struggles to pick up the pieces of her life in the aftermath. The plot was well-developed and peppered with twists and turns, which made this an absolutely unputdownable and engrossing read. The narration is simple but beautiful and easy, the language is lucid and I really loved how all the plots and subplots were connected to each other. The characters of Neha, Prithvi, Aditya and Ria have been portrayed nicely, realistic, developed and complex. The subplots were tied in with the story seamlessly, and overall, this book was even better than Sudha ma'am's debut, taking us on a rollercoaster ride through the journey of these characters as well as Sudha ma'am's evolution as a writer. Highly recommended book. I have become a fan of the author now, and will follow her through her beautiful writing career as she perfects her style and craft.
