    Ok, I am really conflicted here. I usually do not like stories centered around spanking because I really consider it as one of the most humiliating experiences and I really don't understand how you can feel pleasure receiving a spanking. But this book is the first example of a story I liked even though the relationship was based on spanking, sadism, voyeurism, humiliation, pain, where I kind of understood how both characters enjoyed the situation, got pleasure from it and may actually develop a romantic connection satisfying for both of them. Vadim does not spank Blake to punish him, but because he likes to spank him and Blake does not perceive the spanking as a punishment, but rather as a sexual built-up - they could go out and play tennis, but they prefer getting off through pain. And even the public punishment scenes are not centered around the "educational" aspect of the spanking but more about the relationship between the two students and the way they express their feelings by giving and receiving pain. So I still do not love spanking, but this short story managed to depict the ordeal in a less humiliating way, as one of the many way to express love. And for this I have to thank the author and her writing.

    This is my second time reading this story and I still enjoyed it a lot this time around! There's a good balance between kinky and sweet, but what makes this story so good to me is definitely Vadim and Blake. I love those two a lot. There's just something about their relationship dynamic that makes me obsessed. Definitely still my favourite work by this author. I only wish that it's longer.
