    I really enjoyed this book. I found Anna and Lucas and their story to be captivating and compelling. With their many flaws, these characters felt very realistic to me. Overall I thought that this book was a study of extremes. Extreme love, loss, pain, emotion, desire, angst and lust are all represented in this stirring tale of the choices and mistakes we make, the fallout that occurs and the life lived along the way. You can and should expect lots of scorching scenes and boundary pushing kinks. If you are on the look out for pretty, perfect and sweet romance, I recommend you keep looking. If you don't mind a book that is gritty, raw, filthy and sometimes just plain ugly, grab a copy and settle in for a very intense ride.

    This was my first book by Jade West. It was a story of being in a toxic relationship, surrounded by toxic “friends and family” that constantly put their 2 sense into Anna’s and Lucas’s relationship. They were separated for a decade due to lies and misunderstanding. Neither one was truly able to move on or fall in love with someone else. The friends Anna had irritated me because of their so called advice to keep her away from Lucas. Lucas’s mother was also irritating with her so called advice and demands of him. Maya was a conniving little wench. It also had some sex scenes that either left you panting or questioning why would you do that. All and all, I enjoyed this book and would definitely read more of her books.

    For SURE check the k1nks cause wowza. This was beautifully written in a way that had me crying and laughing and aweing until 3am because I couldn’t put it down. The ending was just as good as I’d hoped - but gosh. The journey. Ten years of life, stolen by selfish people who don’t care about others - and yet, appreciating the present of the present? Beautiful. I liked how much vernacular of an English native born was worked in - as an American, it was a wild jaunt through a totally different mind!

    However… not sure I can get behind the underwear k1nk. Goodness. I didn’t even know that was a thing but I knoooow now. Degradation? By the bucket load - and yet, their love and laughter is sweeter than syrup too.

    For sure, give it a read! Try new things. The writing style is elegant, at times even poetic, and the smut is spicy, different k1nk aside. Trigger warning: there is assault by a protagonist, so be forewarned. It is resolved but kinda took me by surprise.

    This did not disappoint on both. A great second chance romance about Anna and Lucas. Manipulation played a part of breaking them apart 10yrs pervious and left them both shells of themselves. Anna struggled with her epilepsy that cause those around her to treat her like a child, including her hero complex boyfriend. Then there's Lucas who just wants to see his daughter without the drama of his ex.
    Anna and Lucss are explosive.

    I didn’t hate this book but I really really didn’t like it.
    It was a strong, interesting story that I was enjoying until I wasn’t. Everything from the plot and characters was a love to absolutely not.

    This book made me hate the miscommunication trope even more. Especially because the MMC was SA’d and EVERYONE HATES HIM FOR SOMETHING HE DID NOT SO AND IT IS NEVER ADDRESSED.

    The author did an okay job and convincing me Lucas and Anna loved each other because the book starts 10 years after they were together and all you see is their physical relationship and not much emotional building. The author does a good job of telling you they love each other, showing the angst of that love.

    This book is predicable, unnecessarily long without reason. They only good thing the author is at bringing out filthy sex scenes. I guess that s the reason people have rated it high. But trust me from page one you know where the problem lies. I started skipping pages even before the 50℅ mark. Even the epilogue was too streched. And i found it really weird that in this modern age lucas and anna waited to get back together and kept their relationship secret just bcoz they thought their near n dear ones will be upset huhhh hello are we in 16-17 th century to get best friends and parents approval.Also lucas seems to be so dumd to just believe whatever his wife says without giving rational thought. Trust me skip this book or rather just read 1 or 2 chapter s and skip to the epilogue still you will get the story.
