The Potion Witch (The Coven: Vampire Magic Book 2) Kindle Edition
I feel like I’ve done this before. Except…not exactly like this.
There’s zero logic behind this feeling I have, this feeling that I’ve woken up in this hospital before. The doctors insist I’ve been in a coma since Halloween and only just woke up. Yet I remember waking up and seeing my best friend sitting by my bed but she’s not here now. I remember meeting two nurses who the doctors swear don’t exist. They say the mind is a complex place and it was just a dream, an unconscious desire to wake up. But I can see it clearly in my mind and no dream has ever felt more real.
Just when I’ve convinced myself the doctors are right, that science knows best, my aunt and uncle tell me that I’m a witch.
A witch.
I thought they’d lost their minds or were playing a prank…until I leave the hospital and find we’d moved hours away to a small community of witches. All I want is for this nightmare to end and for my life to return to normal. But my magic is too powerful to ever go back to life before the accident. They tell me my magic is the only reason I survived, yet I can’t shake this feeling that I’ve lost something huge…and the phantom pain isn’t the only thing haunting me. Something lurks in the shadows of the night and I’m afraid it might catch me before the truth comes out.
Because the more time I spend among witches, the less I know what’s my imagination and what’s real…

- Reviewed in the United States on May 18, 2025Ma’am you have some explaining to do. I reread the series so I could read The Potion Witch knowing what was going on, but you did us dirty. AND I’LL BE BACK FOR MORE.
If you’re looking for a great series or metaverse, this is it. Hands down. Chandelle is such an amazing writer. Her characters come to life and you root for each and every one of them. It’s insane. The first season is about Tegan finding out she’s not only a twin, a witch the High Priestess no less, but part of a prophecy.
The second season is about Tegan’s best friend Bettina, and don’t even get me started on her story. She’s a witch, enemies to lovers romance, found family and more.
Next season is about Saffie a friend of The Coven. We see her journey to find who she is and what her role is with The Coven.
The stand alone books are fantastic of the Wolf Witch and the Rose Witch.
You want to know about the Potion Witch though. Ok, so this is the second book in the Vampire season of Frankie’s story. She’s in a car accident in the first book, The Blood Witch (and in one of the other books). The accident is pretty bad and put into a magically induced coma to heal. We see Frankie find out she’s witch in this book and ready to face the Vampire Queen from the first book. There is so much that happens in this book.
Please pick up this series, but know it will CONSUME you.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2025WOW! This book is a Rollercoaster ride that takes the reader from 0 to 100 in one page. We hit the ground running from the very beginning with Frabkie trying to figure out what is reality and fake while staying at the Vampire Castle. As a reader it is difficult to tell which version of each character is true. Frankie manages to meet up with the coven (can't spoil the how, and when) leaving Everest behind. Frankie has been one of the top five heroines that Lavaun has written and I can't wait to see where the next part of the story goes after that reveal and cliff hanger we are left on.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2025Chandelle is an evil mastermind. A lot of book series tend to go stale this far into the series yet with her stories I find myself hanging on with my breath held to see what she has come up with next. Potion Witch is soo good. And the ending will have you wanting to yell and cry and celebrate and probably throw something.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2025This was so good! I love reading about all of the characters and the interweaving stories! I keep waiting for the next one and then read it so fast! I can't wait for the next one to learn more about all my favorite characters! I feel like there's so much more to learn about them all!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2024Unlike all the other Coven series books, this one took quite a while to get going. 70% into the book and finally, it got interesting. A lot of time (and pages) were spent on back stories and new character development. I hope there was a reason for it.
The time lapse of 2 weeks in the book felt like two weeks when reading it. Not my favorite. Still unclear what Frankie’s special magic is. Potions, for the “Potion Witch” were hardly a highlight of the book. But, that all said, I still cannot wait for the next book because I like the Coven characters so much.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2025I’m sad I finished it. It only took 2 days, thankfully a weekend because I didn’t sleep! Glad I purchased it because it will get TONS more reads. Laughed so much I got banned from the bed and had to read on the couch!
Can’t wait for the next one 💜
- Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2025I read the book back months ago and I got an early copy and wow she really knows how to write a story no wonder why she's my favorite author and persuaded me to become a writer myself im writing my first novel for over the last year and her elements and everything have inspired me as a writer and this story the ending chandelle had out down herself again bc the ending is a major hit in a good way . And for people who haven't read the series or read this yes to what youre wondering for somethings . This probably Is in my top 3 chandelle books to be honest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nail biter wild ride!
I enjoyed this second book immensely. The plot is clearer with a few questions answered from the first book BUT more questions need answers from this book. What a cliff hanger! 6 fallen angels now? Libby??? I have no idea where the story is heading but suffice to say, I’ll just hang on to my seat and enjoy the ride!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible story!
What can I say about this great madness. The beginning was really good for getting into the story. You get to know Frankie better, which is really essential and she becomes an important part of the Coven.
I am completely blown away by the story. Let's start with Archie...the somewhat clumsy Archie suddenly becomes a very familiar hero, that was awesome. Frankie and Cooper, just wow. Soulmates or maybe not?
The villains are not to be missed either. From the vampire to the Unseelie, there is plenty of evil. You also finally get an insight into Azazel's horrific plan.
I can recommend this book 100%, the second part couldn't have been written any better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotional roller coaster!
The Queen of Cliffhangers has done it again. Frankie has awoken in hospital and commences an emotional rollercoaster. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and rage as the surprises keep coming. Witches, disguises, soul mates, this book has it all. We get to meet some new characters and catch up with some old favourites, with a few surprising visitations. Time to do a read read whilst counting down the days until book 3.
