The Prince and his Thief: Mark of the Djinn Sequel Novella Kindle Edition
It’s been nearly two years since snarky thief Samira was thrown into a dangerous quest with the insufferably arrogant Prince Dhavani. To say she shook his world is an understatement.
Sam has the power to control wind and air, a legacy of her djinn ancestry. Together they faced demons, sorcerers, witches - and a creature masquerading as a cat. And somewhere along the way, their mutual loathing turned into something else.
But now Dhav has another quest. One he’s pursued since he was a boy. And Sam isn’t invited. In fact, he’s absolutely forbidden her from having any part of it.
Want to guess how that’s working out for him?
The Prince and his Thief is a sequel novella to the paranormal fantasy Mark of the Djinn. If you enjoyed the chemistry between thief Samira and her infuriating prince, you’ll love their latest magical escapade. A fun, quick read for fans of feisty couples, action, adventure, and a dollop of romance.
Praise for Mark of the Djinn:
"Plenty of action and adventure, twists and turns, and a little enemy to lovers romance.”
“This book is a mishmash of several fairy tales told by the heroine from a modern viewpoint. It just kept getting better and better right up to the HEA.”
“A smart, kick ass Asian female… non stop excitement… throw in an honourable and brooding Prince plus a healthy helping of romance and you’ve got all the ingredients for a best seller!”

About the author

I'm a journalist by trade, and I've worked for some of the biggest names in news - BBC, ITN, Al Jazeera. Now I split my time between reporting world events and writing fiction. I'm the author of several fantasy and paranormal books for young adults. My first series, Daughter of Kali, is an urban fantasy trilogy which borrows heavily from one of my favourite Hindu myths, that of the Goddess Kali and her battle with demons. My other books feature genies and mermaids! Visit my website shiulieghosh.com/author to download a free story and sign up to my newsletter.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2021I so enjoyed this book. I wish it had been longer. If you enjoy all kinds of different magical creatures, then read this series. You won't be disappointed. Just to let you know the first book is slot longer and full of adventure. Enjoy
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2021Our hero and heroine make an excellent couple and work well together. So why is our hero leaving her out of the latest adventure?
This is a sequel to an earlier story. It is better to read them in order
This is an urban fantasy story with a Arabian Nights style setting. The story is well written and easy to read. The setting is also nicely detailed, but not nearly so much as the characters. I love our heroine who is very savvy, used to doing things on her own. So needless to say, she is a little put out when left out. The plot is fast paced and filled with enough twists and turns to keep you turning the page to see what comes next. Overall, an excellent story and I look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2021This short read was a cute sequel story. Having read both books, I think it would be safe to read this without reading the first book first, but you'll get a better reading experience if you read them in order. The only spoilers from the first book I noticed in this one were either small or things that I predicted early on in book one.
This book had a much simpler plot than the first and less room for romantic development, but I found both to be satisfying. Since the first book wrapped up well as a standalone, you don't have to read this book to enjoy that one, but I'd recommend it either way.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review, but my opinions are my own.
