The Best Progressive Yule Party Ever Kindle Edition
In celebration of the Winter Solstice, a progressive party will be held from 9:00pm until sunrise, where we will welcome the sun’s return to spending longer days with us. Throughout the evening and early morning, we will dine and drink from the Earth’s bounty, give thanks with the yule log and exchange gifts to show appreciation for the lives around us.
Join us as we combine traditional Wiccan rituals with non-traditional games and fun!
Please bring one appetizer of your choosing to share with the others, a well-intentioned gift (wrapped and unmarked), and stick (from a tree or shrubbery, minimum 12”).
See you there!
Dylan Brockend doesn't know what to make of this "progressive yule party" but he sure as heck knows he's not letting his little sister go alone. Two sorority sisters combining Wiccan (what is that exactly, anyway) traditions with "non-traditional games" until sunrise? Nope, she's not going alone.
His winter solstice joy is only compounded when Troy McMalloran, a straight wrestler from another fraternity, focuses his attentions on Dylan, leaving Dylan to progress (yes, intentional use of the word, Dylan's figured out) from house to house attempting to keep his hormones in check.
What starts out as Dylan's plan to just lemming through the party turns into a ridiculous set of interactions with Troy, as the guy might not be as straight as he'd thought he was.
A holiday short brought to you by two sorority sisters, who put their heads together (along with Google) to create a story of new opportunities as the Winter Solstice comes to a close.

About the author

So, about Jill. She's a voracious reader since the days of Frog and Toad and Pippa Mouse. From there she ran into Little House on the Prairie (in fact, the first stories Jill imagined as a child were about being Laura's twin sister and when Jill's mom made her a bonnet, that kinda sealed the deal for Jill's imagination). And everything Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary. And never forget The Boxcar Children. By the time she would have normally started in on the Sweet Valley High books, Jill discovered the be-all-end-all of angsty feels for the teenaged soul - VC Andrews. From there, it evolved naturally into Danielle Steel and...well...it never stopped.
Jill fell in love with what was dubbed ChickLit - the books of Jill Shalvis, Charlaine Harris, Sophia Kinsella, Janet Evanovich, Susan Elizabeth Philips...for the witty humor that got me through some rough adult times. Lori Foster, too.
And of course, Nora Roberts (Ryder Montgomery, anyone?).
Never. Stop. Reading.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2021This was a very fun read that I would gladly keep reading for many more pages. Part of me wants to whine at the end because it could really keep going, but I can tell that the author wrote what they wanted to write. It was a wacky, weird and wild night with the potential for a whole new day of exploratative fun. I loved the characters and whole premise of the story. I just would have liked to read about what Dylan and Troy did with those gifts....
- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2020Yes this is a nice short read. It'd summarised into two MC dancing around each other and obviously couldn't get their hands off each other. I'm never going to look at the bro code with the same eyes before I read this ever again. Bro code ftw!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2019I loved this. It was short, but while it would have been nice to read more about Dylan and Troy (isn't that always the case with shorts???) this story didn't feel lacking or unfinished.
I loved Troy and how clueless yet accepting of his newfound bisexuality he was, and understand how confused he felt from personal experience of realizing I wasn't straight until well into my twenties.
The flirting and banter between him and Dylan was delightful and kept the tone fun and light, perfect for the season. I have a feeling I'll reread this fairly often!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2020Another absolutely adorable, laugh out loud story by one of my favorite authors. Cute characters, good writing, and I had no idea what a "progressive" party was! JW writes really amusing, memorable books. This is one of my favorites.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2020This was a great read. Troy’s curiosity and easy acceptance of his attraction to Dylan was the perfect counterbalance to Dylan’s deep skepticism…skepticism to all and everything that happened that night. I’ll definitely read more from Jill Wexler.

This was a fun, quick read. Dylan was a sweetie and Troy was such a cutie! I really enjoyed this one.

This was a really funny short with a bisexual awakening-the best kind of awakening ;)
I really thought this was super funny. I would LOVE to attend a progressive yule party! I loved the flirting too. I think what I wanted was more. Maybe like an epilogue or something just affirming this was real and more than 1 night.
This is the MM holiday book for people who love a hilarious holiday party!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun short bi-awakening story
A fun serial first posted in her reader group, this is a light-hearted bi-awakening story set at Christmas, with some wiccan ritual, sex toys, and a hunky wrestler.
