Safe Hex With a Vampire (Psy-Vamp Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 122 ratings

After a year of hunting, Tempest believes she has finally captured the serial rapist preying on women in the San Francisco area. Her sense of triumph is short-lived when she discovers she has the wrong man.

Before she can decide what to do with the unconscious man in her possession, she discovers they share a secret—neither of them is human.

Could he help explain the origins of her family’s unusual talents?

When Aiden regains consciousness, he is none too happy to find himself locked in a cage. He is, however, fascinated with his captor—a woman who bears a striking resemblance to a mystery woman from his uncle’s past. He soon finds she arouses more than his curiosity.

Could she be the one to end his loneliness?

Or will her past prevent her from opening her heart to him?

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were really likeable and I felt the emotions between Aiden and Tempest. The fact that they were "cousins" seemed not to be a problem at with anybody! This story gave me a different look at vampires...they did need blood but they could get by with taking supplements and ate human food. I like a story that changes up the profile of a paranormal. Great other characters also. Would definitely recommend this book for a good read.

This book was good but I enjoyed the first much more. The end of both books leaves us guessing about the babies of the happy couples and what happens to all of them. I enjoyed both books but I want more on Nathaniel and Noah and Hannah!!

Ms Lawson has a delightfully dry sense of humor. One thing that seems to be a signature is her clever way of turning the viewpoint of a given scenario. There are clearly more avenues of story for many more books. It is quite wonderful how even in the most dire of situations, the Reader feels good about where the story is heading. This is also well edited and highly polished. Just wish she could write faster.

Cassandra Lawson is great. I love that you get the main story but also the build up and back story for the other characters. She is able to make you love the characters and you want to keep reading do you get the whole great big picture. Love love love!

...But not WOW. There were parts of this book I really enjoyed but much of it fell through the cracks for me. There was a lot of pointless sex (I know... GASP) and I'm not a huge fan of that. Use that word count to further the story along :)

I think there are probably plenty of people who would LIKE/LOVE this book and I hope my dislike doesn't turn them away. It's worth a shot!

I think it was a unusual vampire book. I really like that, because vampires stories are my favorite. You put something different in your stories, which I found very interesting. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about vampires and other unusual types of creatures.

This is the second book in a paranormal romance mystery/suspense. It wasn't a bad read, better than the first in my opinion although it was a little jumpy and confusing in places.
