About the author

About J. L. Harden
As stated in my twitter bio… I’m an author, a dreamer, and a lover.
In that order.
Also, I am not the superstar basketball player but I do play basketball.
In addition, here are some other fun facts… I previously worked as gardener/yard guy… a yardener? And I worked as a janitor at MIT where I would solve complex math problems when no one was looking. Only one of those things is true. If you can guess which one, I will give a free book of your choice.
Born and raised in Newcastle, Australia or Newie (Newy?) as the locals call it, as I call it?
Any questions?

- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2022Please get the next book published soon. Don't cliffhanger it. I'm going insane, so here's my ending. The crew join then they run away and hide again under ground. Oh and the couple finally get back together and have kid's.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2022If I wasn’t already deep into the series I’d probably quit after this one. None of the main characters has gotten even a tiny bit smarter. Not even a little. Still trusting all the people and getting caught and branded and shot. Even real life individuals would have gotten at least a little smarter by now.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2017It is a real shame that such a good author would milk a storyline so far. I've been reading this series since the beginning, and with every book starting past #5 is a disappointment. I mean really man, you only went like 24 hours into this books storyline. I can't even think about reading another one of his books because of the fear of another never ending series. Newsflash, this is not the way to become a successful author.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2020So, I just read eight books for no reason. Now I will never know the ending because if you think I will keep checking back for the next two years then you are insane. These are not books. They are a few short chapters. I am so sick of them being held hostage. I am completely sick of Rebecca tripping, falling, and losing her weapon. Please learn that the ground is outside and the floor is inside. A writer that doesn't know the difference between then and than? What??? It's a fantastic story with good characters but the kidnappings are just way too much! The group goes from one hostage situation to the next SMH

1.0 out of 5 stars I've had enough.
I loved the first books, so much happened and i wanted to find out what was coming next but it's been dragged out too far. At this point there are so many bad guys I'm confused. How can anyone keep going this long. I can't remember what happened to some people cause it's been so long since I read those books. I re-read the whole series before book 7 and I'm still lost. Too much has gone on with too many characters to keep track anymore. The last three books have covered like a day each. Im happy to pay for books I love but I think I've spent enough on this series.
