Accord of Mars (The Ragnarok Saga Book 2) Kindle Edition
But Admiral Nicholas Stein knows better, and he’s throwing everything into a daring project he hopes will win the next war.
*** A USA Today Bestselling author! ***
Conflict between Earth and Mars is inevitable. With the United Nations of Earth dependent on Mars for their energy supply, a free Mars isn’t something they will let slide.
Earth is building a fleet, supposedly for defense. But they’re up to something else, too.
The Admiral sends his son Thomas to investigate. As the opening blows of total war are struck and the political morass around Thomas thickens, Nicholas must prepare Mars for a war he never wanted to fight.
But Admiral Stein lives by an old motto: “Si vis pacem, para bellum”.
If you want peace, prepare for war.

Good action sequences, introspection by characters not excessive nor melodramatic. Good space opera.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2019Before you read this one, please note it is the second book of aa series. You will need to have read the first one or the characters and situations won’t make much sense. The author picks right up where he left off with book one, and the action is pretty much non-stop. Consistent with book one of the series, the future tech isn’t too over the top and is believable, and the author continues to make you feel as if you are right there in the action. I picked this up for free with my Kindle Unlimited subscription vs its normal price of $3.99 and certainly received more than $3.99 worth of entertainment value. If you liked book one of the series I’m fairly confident you will enjoy this one, also.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2019Congratulations to Kevin McLaughlin for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2018Another incredible space battle with our intrepid characters from Mars. The President of the UN wants to eradicate all of the Mars contingent so he can rule everything! Well, no one deserves to be God, so Thomas, Nick and friends once again risk their lives to keep everyone safe. Can't wait to see what happens next! Great read!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2018Paybacks is it Necessary? . Will that depends. A life for a life, a big no . It will gain you nothing but more dead . More hate, but a Decisive ,one time hit my save lives in the long run.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2018McLaughlin scores another winner with the second installment in the Ragnarok Saga! Thomas and his dad face an armada from earth hell-bent on destroying Mars Colony, Mars Station and everyone supporting the Mars independence movement.
The battle tactics are impressive and the character development (both good guys and bad guys) is excellent. The development of the spacecraft used in these battles are totally believable and the modifications are not much further into our future.
I happily award this novel 5 Stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Backs to the wall!
Earth has decided to take out Mars but Thomas and his father, Nicholas, don’t accept that. Earth may have more ships but Nicholas is brilliant at ship design and innovation. Choi, the President of the UN may have underestimated their resolve.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast paced
Lots of action and not too many liberties with the science. Book 1 was great, book 2 is better. A fast paced page Turner.
