- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseMichelle Murray introduces us to the world around her in these marvelous verses. Her world is full of color, sound and light. She shows us the beauty, and the pain in this collection.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2015Format: KindleAs always, do not let my star count override your judgement of content. More on the stars, counting, and my rating challenges later.
Murray has produced thirty-two poems, some with surprise twists, as in Roots, where we find this: “The corner /Where you used to hide /Though everyone knew where to find you /These memories are not mine /Too many times /We packed our bags and moved on.”
Again in Where Have All the Flowers Gone? we find this: “And for a moment /A brief moment /My hand reaches out /To touch /A flower /That is not there.”
If you’re looking for the romantic innocence, turn to Meeting a Prince. For gentle innocence, see The Unicorn Waits. Romance concludes Putting Down Your Sword: “A love so rare /Only one man /Dares to dream that it could be true /And that man is you.”
If you’re scrolling for the tiny carps, there are a few typos. Nothing serious.
All that said, how do I come up with three stars? My personal guidelines, when doing an ‘official’ KBR review, are as follows: five stars means, roughly equal to best in genre. Rarely given. Four stars means, extremely good. Three stars means, definitely recommendable. I am a tough reviewer. This is gentle writing, and definitely recommendable. Three stars from this curmudgeon it is.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2016Format: KindleRainbows and Dreams is a wonderdul book of poetry. Each one was unique, yet many were connected. It was like being at a poetry reading live. That's the feel I had gotten. Wonderful.
I, Amber McCarty ( Imaginative Dreams), was given a copy for an honest review.
