    5.0 out of 5 stars I began series with nothing from my favorite authors left to read and the first was a 99 cent special. As I began I thought oh a copy of...and yes it is similar to others. But in some ways very different. These two authors combined talents create fun, funny characters that you want to learn more of. And soon you find you've read the whole series. Which leaves you deeply frustrated , not because of the quality but because you now are left waiting for the next book to come out. And you wonder who will be next ? There are still enough great secondary characters even after 15 books that you have the curious feeling of whose story is next? How will they keep going without losing the enjoyment or newness? And Big one How long until I get to read the next one? I have added this series and these authors to my must read list.

    This is another fantastic story in the Dark Warrior Alliance saga. I think Ramiel is perhaps one of my favorite tragic heroes. I am so glad Brenda and Tami devoted a book to Ramiel’s story along with solving the cliff hanger we were left with at the end of the previous book. I highly recommend this series to any lover of paranormal romance and suspense stories. While this is an unsolicited and voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy I received from the authors, I also bought this book in support of these fantastic authors!!!

    Ramiel, the disillusioned Angel of Retribution needs the sassy demoness Zakara's help in getting to Hell to rescue a kidnapped child. They are both wounded by their pasts and aren't looking for love. But their joint journey through Hell forges a strong relationship between them and along the way they redeem themselves and find love in each other.
    This was a second book about a journey through Hell, and luckily it wasn't a boring repeat. The main interest in the book was their relationship evolving and strengthening. There were also a few brief glimpses of Heaven. Also the overall storyline throughout the series got some new aspects. All in all an entertaining paranormal romance.

    Get some tissues close by, because you will be needing them! Granted, it starts out a little slow, but keep in mind, Isobel has been kidnapped, leaving everyone at Zeum feeling deviastated and helpless, but determined to get Izzie back.
    Ramiel finally gets a break when he learns of a fallen Angel, Zakara, who knows of a long forgotten portal to the underworld he can use, but only with her help. Convincing her to d so will not be easy, as having betrayed Lucifer , him finding her is the last thing she wants. These two would have to have their souls come together as one for Ramiel to be able to enter hell, not something she is sure she wants to commit to, but Ramiel will do whatever is necessary for him to rescue Izzie, even taking in her darkness.
    After taking the necessary steps to unite their souls, hot, steamy sex, they are ready to enter the gates of hell. After furiously battling their way to where Isobel is being held on the frozen lake with Lucifer and even more of his demons, Ramiel and Zakara have been beaten down, all their strength is spent, when Izzie connects with Ramiel, sending him the strength he needs to finish his mission of rescuing her.
    Landing back on earth, Ramiel is holding Izzie but Zakara is no where to be found. Thinking back, before she pulls him and Izzie into the water where the portal is she tells him she loves him and then he sees tears spilling down her face. What she had not told him was that only the pure of heart can pass through the lake. Has Ramiel lost the one person who he has come to love and wants her for his mate? Did she give up her life to save him and Isobel?

    Ramiel has been one PO'd angel ever since he was killed by skirm. When he is picked to be Izzy's guardian angel he almost doesn't take the job due to the past he shares with her mother. Love for the little girl overcomes his pain of the loss of what he and Elsie shared and he would do anything for the princess. When she is snatched and taken to hell he is determined to find a way to save her. The rumor of a fallen angel with a secret way to enter the underworld brings him to a demon bar in New York. It brings him to Zakara.

    Zakara was sent by Lucifer to get the the amulet that would free him from the underworld. Kara decided her freedom was a much better mission and has been hiding in plain sight ever since. When an angel shows up wanting her to point him towards her entrance to the underworld so here can save a little girl, she Is not inclined to help him. Well, maybe a little inclined - he is hot. But the only way he can go is it he binds to her darkness and then she will have to go to keep him from being killed. He isn't that hot, ok he is that hot. Off to hell they go!

    I didn't really like Ramiel until this book! Oh my gosh does he redeem himself? So we all knew it was coming, Isobel gets kidnapped. And Ramiel goes crazy because no one is doing anything. He does everything to get that precious girl back. I love him for it. And his journey leads him to a sexy fallen angel. He is pissed that she won't help him get into hell. However, Remi is persistent. And I love the feisty fallen angel. She reminds me of Mack & is perfect for Remi. Poor Isobel I feel bad for the torture she had to go through. And there is an update on Jace & Caitlyn I love that this is included. It shows the dangers of flirting when you have a spouse.
