This was not what I expected. When I read the blurb I expected this story to be a bit dark and revengeful but it’s more of a love story. Cassius's family has been destroyed he vows to seek revenge for them and plots his plan throughout the years. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for the enemy. Anya has lived her life secluded and protected not knowing who her parents truly are or what business they’re in. They live in a beautiful house protected 24hrs by guards and always restricted to areas of the house. The book takes you through a journey of Cassius and Anya's relationship and how they grow to love each other and find the secrets of Anya's family. It's more of a love story than a true dark revenge story.

    I should have known that I would fall in love with this book by Ava Harrison and Vanessa Fewings. These authors have both taken me on a journey through their books that I will not soon forget, however when I tell you I really enjoyed this story, set in New Orleans, I really did enjoy reading the book 📖📚. This is the story of Cassius Calvetti, he comes from old money 💰, his father built one of the greatest shipping empires in the world. Then there's Anya, daughter of Stephen Glassman a very dangerous man, who was Cassius nemesis. This story has drama and more drama. What you 🤔 is going to happen well it's so far beyond what you think. Get this story of Cassius Calvetti and Anya Glassman you will enjoy. Thanks Ava Harrison and Vanessa Fewings I hope you do this again soon.

    The prologue of this book elicited enough emotion that it had me choked up ... so sad what the 14 yr old Cassius, the H, went through. It's no wonder he became the man he did and not the one he should have been. After the prologue, the story picks up 14 yrs later at Anya's, the h's, 18th birthday party. She is the daughter of Cassius's arch enemy, the man who was responsible for everything Cassius lost and suffered as a youth.

    Anya is a part of his master plan for revenge. Cassius has waited 14 years to get his revenge, but when he finally puts it into motion, he finds himself hesitant to follow through with his original plan and he's not happy about it. Anya is not what he expected and her life was not how he had envisioned it. As they discover truths about each other and their pasts, desires and plans change. She sees through to his heart, the man beneath the one he portrays and she's determined to find him and bring him into the light. But she's keeping a secret she discovered right before she was taken and there is more to it than even she knows as well as forces working against them!

    This book is pretty action-packed ... kidnapping, misguided betrayals, attempted murders, lots of danger. It will hold your interest from page 1. Characters are well developed and storyline is good. My only 2 complaint are: 1. I would have like to read about the meeting with the "others" and know what became of them as well. I won't say more as I don't want to give anything away; and 2. The level of emotion elicited in the prologue and in the first part of the book, did not seem to hold through the entire story, particularly in the conclusion. Still none of this took anything away from the story. Solid 4.5 stars!

There are twists and turns you do not see coming. I love how this story grabs you right from the beginning with fast-paced action. I absolutely love and highly recommend this phenomenal story. I would give it a 10 if I could.

    I have mixed feelings about this book. The beginning was a little slow. I kept waiting for the pace to pick up. It did when I was more than halfway through the book. I wasn’t captivated by the story or the characters. I had sympathy for Anya’s life and situation, but no deeper attachment. Cassius started out as an a$$hole, but soon enough turned into a love sick hero. It seemed that was all there was to his character from that point onwards in the book. I wanted him to reign hell on New Orleans in defense of Anya, but that didn’t happen. Instead, he was simply willing to die. I also didn’t like how Victoria just left New Orleans. She fought to protect her kids for so many years to simply abandon them…I didn’t buy into that storyline.

    The story was good, but it could have been great with some changes. Regardless, this was a good read, and I’m glad this wasn’t a story that I gave up on.

    If you're a fan of heartbreaking drama, dark romance and brutal revenge, this is the book for you! There's really so much to love about the plot, the characters and the execution. Ava Harrison and Vanessa Fewings have combined their incredible talents to give us a truly thrilling story.

    In true enemies to lovers fashion, Cassius and Anya are so different at the start. But as their story unfolds, they slowly connect when they realize their lives have been shaped and influenced by a very real villain. I'll keep my review simple with no spoilers because there are a few twists that you don't want to have ruined here. Just know this is a wicked and wonderful read you don't want to miss!

    The Ravishing was a lot lighter than what I was anticipating. I had expected a much darker story where there was more action where the revenge would be more detailed than what we got here. This was more of a love story than anything else.

    After Cassius’s family is destroyed, he vows to get revenged on the man behind it all. He plans his actions for years before taking any kind of action. Anya on the other hand is the oldest of two children who wants nothing else but to escape the cage her parents have around her and her brother.

    For me it seemed a little flat unlike all the other books I’ve read by this duet of authors, who deliver such steamy dark stories. Cassius just didn’t seem too fearsome and smart but made some rather irrational decisions right from the start. I mean Anya gave away clues left and right and he never picked up on them! Anya on the other hand was just too flighty for my liking, thus making it hard for me to feel connected to her. I had a hard time feeling their chemistry because I felt as though there just wasn’t enough of a character buildup between them.
    If you love enemies to lover’s romance that is not too dark, this is for you. Other than that, it is a good book to read and just enjoy as the overall writing is beautiful. Not to mention that danger, deceit, betrayal, revenge, intrigue, and suspense consume the pages of this dark mafia romance.
