Reincarnation in a Nutshell: Why Reincarnation is real (Spiritual Nutshell Series Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.1 out of 5 stars 53 ratings

Would it not be wonderful if we did not only live one life? Would it not be great to know that death was an illusion and that we lived on after our physical body had stopped functioning? If we could know that death was not the end of life, would that not make us much less worried or afraid, make us much more confident and happier? If we could simply with one stroke eliminate all fear of death, would that not give our lives a whole new meaning and perspective? This is what this book offers the reader.
Reincarnation in a Nutshell explains why reincarnation is much more than a belief. With mathematical precision the authors explain why reincarnation simply has to be factual and they present the reasoning, the logic and the evidence for this claim. They also explain how reincarnation takes place and what the master plan of life is. This book is your exit key from the one-life theory and with this new insight you will never doubt your own immortality. Your outlook on life will forever change when you realize that death is an illusion and that your consciousness cannot be extinguished.
The insight presented in this book originates from the spiritual science of Martinus, the Danish visionary and mystic. When he was 30, Martinus experienced an expansion of his consciousness which gave him cosmic consciousness. His work is the most profound spiritual revelation ever to have been disclosed to humankind.

REINCARNATION
In a Nutshell

Review by Kaye A. Peters, author,"Unbridled Commentary...Without Flinch (From a Woman of Years in the 'Middle' of Her Life), and The Book of Kaye (I AM), and Blog, Life rays.net (The Interactive Passage of Energy Between Us).

Five Stars
There certainly is more to learn about reincarnation than met my eye until now!
Else Byskov and Maria McMahon have presented a well-researched and documented introduction to the reader interested in delving into the prospect of reincarnation. These co-authors offer supportive information which frames a spiritual picture of who we are, how we come to be here on this planet, and why is it more realistic to entertain the probability of living more than one life, in order to accomplish all that we are here to do from the spiritual perspective, framed through the human experience.
Already a believer in reincarnation, I found my views are extremely simplistic. This book is intriguing and substantiates good reasoning how we human beings came to be, and the purpose for our existence as a spiritual being living in a human condition.
I am a possibility thinker, and years ago I came upon my own conclusions regarding reincarnation. It seemed perfectly clear to me that one life wasn't long enough to get done what was begun at 'the beginning' of it all! Too much to do, experience, and learn, to say nothing of explaining why babies died in the womb; youngsters died before living a full life; why some people suffered so much more deeply than I, and why some seemed cursed, others blessed.
I recommend
Reincarnationin a Nutshell to the reader who may be looking for more answers, more meaning to life. I guarantee it will offer considerable food for thought. After reading this book I, too, have already begun to expand my own thinking regarding this topic.

Many of the possibilities for reincarnation that I ponder in quiet personal times found answers in this book, Reincarnation in a Nutshell. I have always have visitations from departed friends and family members and continually research to know why this happens. At first, I believed that once we died, that was the end of us: Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. As far as I knew at an earlier time, once we’re buried in the ground our flesh, our cells, all return to dust, even our bones over longer periods of time. If cremated and our ashes scattered, even quicker, they become dust.

Why then would manifestations of departed friends and family members visit me in my quiet moments or during meditation? Not only that, they visit in times of stress or grief too. Once realizing these visitations were real, I began to read all I could find about this phenomena. I came to believe a part of us does not die. We shed the physical shell, but our soul survives and simply enters another plane of existence. But where do these spirits dwell since they no longer wear a physical shell? Reincarnation in a Nutshell explains what happens when the soul sheds the physical body. The information the authors present is translated from the writings of Martinus (1890-1981), a Danish intuitive and mystic who, at the age of 30, experienced an expansion of consciousness. When he died at age 90, he left behind 10,000 pages of spiritual writings.

Something I found disappointing in this book (but will probably learn about it soon in other writings) was that at several points in the book, the author said something like ‘more on that later in this book.’ I was particularly interested to learn why the age of 30 years was mentioned to be the peak period of consciousness expanding, (since in my experience it didn’t happen only at 30.) Of this and other referrals to later in the book, I saw no explanations. Perhaps the information was cloaked in the description of the diagram created by Martinus. If so, it was not made clear or the peak of consciousness was not explained in a way as to connect with the previous comments of a more thorough explanation to come.

As I said in the beginning, this book clarified many of the experiences I have had and answered many questions. The puzzle of life, afterlife and reincarnation, is being answered for me. After reading this book, I will seek out further treatises by these authors, Else Byskov and Maria McMahon, to learn more about the writings of Martinus.

Having read a number of books by Else Byskov and Maria McMahon, I was looking forward to reading what they had collaborated on here and I wasn't disappointed. We are blessed to find in Else Byskov someone who can understand, translate and consolidate the work of Martinus, the Danish visionary and mystic, for us.
In this book, both authors show us the logic behind the concept of past lives and use their own experiences to illustrate various points. Maria McMahon provides relevant insights and evidence from her background in Clinical Hynotherapy and, among other insights, introduces the reader to the practice of dowsing using a pendulum.
Together these informed authors cover a wealth of knowledge, information and evidence on a number of relevant topics including ray-formed matter, Near Death Experiences, Out of Body Experiences, where thoughts come from and, what I found particularly interesting, how new souls connect with their new parents before birth and help create the new embryo.
Thank you ladies for bringing us this gem of a book and I look forward to reading future books on spiritual topics in this Nutshell series.

The insights of Else Byskov and Maria McMahon are exceptionally enlightening. This is a book for people seeking a comprehensive world philosophy, not only to answer the big questions of life, but also to understand why humans often act contrary to what any mature rational and logical mind would say would be for the common good.

The popularity of the Byskov books and now the Nutshell series, following the great Martinus heritage, not only reflects the growing spiritual awakening in people in general, but also a growing realization that a logical based spiritual philosophy is an inevitable part of an enlightened healed mind. Byskov and McMahon provides you the evidence.

Reading Reincarnation in a Nutshell you will open yourself more to the in-depth insight that you are an eternal being living in a universe where the keynote is love. I look forward to read many more books in the Nutshell series.

Well, I think I would actually give this book 2 1/2 stars , right in the middle, if that was an option. It’s interesting how they have woven all the physical and metaphysical into a theory that explains, well, most everything about life. Why are we here, how did w get here, and where do we go after we have shuffled off this mortal coil? This gives me pause. I’m not sure, but for something so complicated to present a theory as fact is not intelligent to me. They have everything explained, including how long we spend as a discarnate. How the heck do they know that and present it with such surety? I am interested in Reincarnation or I would not have picked up this book, but it bothers me that there is nothing about the process that they would admit that they don’t know. So, check me in the “still skeptical” box.

Though I already believed in re-incarnation before reading this book, it has been an important confirmation that we are spiritual beings having a "physical experience" and that we have had many many lifes, and that we'll have more lifes to live in order to learn, to improve and become our best version....
Thank you Maria McMahon and Else Byskov !!!
I just would like to insist on one detail that is very important: When we talk about man (the humans), let's say: "man / woman" or "men / women" please...

Have you ever pondered the possibility of having lived on this earth before? How did we miraculously arrive on this planet? How could our body function without having the “I” or our spirit within?

This wonderful book answers so many of life’s unexplained questions. Without a doubt you will be convinced that life exists after death. Find comfort in reading this book and sharing it with those you love.

5.0 out of 5 stars An easy read with exceptional content about Reincarnation
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 20, 2019
    Amazing read!
Reincarnation is a conversation which is usually short for most people and goes something like this.
“I don’t believe there is an afterlife. You live, you die. That’s it. Enjoy it while you are here.”
    …or
“There might be something to it but do you know of anyone who has ‘come back’ to tell us?”

People struggle beyond these views because it is hard to find evidence right here and now. Most would say it is all about having faith and/or certain beliefs and that notion alone will stop some people from further investigating, such has been the decline in religion in the modern era.
However, this ‘nutshell’ book by Else and Maria gathers together in one place the reasons and explanations for Reincarnation. It is easily read and you will not be overwhelmed by ‘high academic waffle’! Else is very well educated and has decades of studying the meaning and purpose of life on her CV. This book reaches out to and invites every human being (religious or otherwise) to consider the very real possibility that we are all much, much more than we ever thought possible. Else has a wonderful flowing, logical writing style and sprinkles the book with her amusing sense of humour too! Yes, it is fun to read as well!
There are many links within the book to resources other than from Else or Maria such as youtube videos, regression therapy experts, scientific evidence and more. In other words, this is not merely a book about the opinion of the authors. Visit the links and see for yourself the evidence that supports Reincarnation.
I love the style Else and Maria have chosen. Maria responds to each chapter Else has written, with her own takeaway from the content. Maria’s contribution is also easily read and down-to-earth.
It is like being witness to a scholarly conversation between 2 wise heads!
The death of our loved ones will always be sad in a deep profound way but this book offers comfort and understanding for a fate that will happen to each and every one of us. There is so much more to life than we currently know. I encourage you to allow yourself, even briefly, to explore the possibilities suggested by this book. It is life altering.

I was very disappointed in this book. Poorly written, poorly edited, poor understanding of basic physiology. Elitist - promoting vegetarianism as a spiritually elevated path. It was boring. I was expecting something much better.
