About the author

Rebecca Gallo was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by her babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. She harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the mini-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. She is still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.
Rebecca currently lives in the Southwest with her family and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When she isn’t swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, she can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos

- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2020This is my first book I’ve read of Ms. Gallo’s and I can definitely tell you I’m not disappointed in the least. This is a story of second chances. Roderick made a few very bad choices 5 years ago, and even though he feels incredible guilty over his choices he has zero regrets. His Choices however have made a great impact on Eleanor. When he learns that Ellie is going to be at the same convention as he is, he begins to take matters into his own hands. He quickly realizes that he has his work cut out for him. Ellie has walls made of steel guarding her heart. She isn’t going to be made a fool of twice because of this man. But when she’s suddenly called to return home Roderick knows his time is nearly up...somehow he has to convince her to let him go home with her. Their second chance after all is written in the Stars...
I absolutely loved this book. It was a very quick read with little drama. Roderick and Ellie’s Love is undeniable and very steamy. I’m so glad that these two characters were able to act like adults and didn’t hold out for revenge or try to hurt each other and the love Roderick shows Ellie is so beautiful. Again I loved this novel and look forward to the series..
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2020Roderick Payne hired Eleanor Jessup to help him ghost write a book series he was working on. She improved it and added much to it, and in the process she fell in love with Roderick. She just didn’t know he was unhappily married at the time! They fall apart and Eleanor experiences heartbreak. Fast forward a few years, and Eleanor is finally on the cusp of writing success, and attends a conference, where her late arrival causes the overbooked hotel to release her room. Roderick appears at just the perfect moment and offers her the spare bedroom in his suite. He wants the chance to explain things and he’s hoping for a second chance.
This story moves along at a good pace. There are a couple of instances where the tension increases, but most of the story contains moderate tension. The dialogue is sparse at times, and plentiful at other times. The characters are fleshed out enough for this quick read, but not as fully as they would normally be in a full-length story. Nevertheless, this is an enjoyable book that starts a new series focusing on the characteristics of each zodiac sign.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2020This is a fast, short novella that's a second chance romance. This is the first book on the Written in the Stars series where each book features a main character with a particular star sign. Overall, I enjoyed it although I do think the storyline was a little too easy for the characters.
Ellie and Roderick were originally together 4 years ago and their relationship ended after she found out he was married. Now he's divorced and they've run into each other and essentially pick up right where they left off. And within a couple weeks they have their HEA. A little too easy and no obstacles to really overcome.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2020A second chance romance, secrets, soul mates, and a HEA! This book has it all! Just a few chapters in and I was already crying. . . That's when I knew I was a goner!
Ellie is just my kinda girl! She is feisty and does not give in easy, but when it is written in the stars or the cards, sometimes you just cant fight it anymore. . . Seriously why fight fate? Maybe ots the Aquarian in me, that really connected with Ellie, but I just loved her and this story. I read it in 1 sitting, could not put it down, and ended up staying up past my bedtime on a work night to finish the book . . . #worthit!!! So get in some comfy clothes, cuddle up with a blanket and pillow, warm up the hot cocoa, and grab a box of Kleenex. . . And GET READING!!! #WITSbookone #Aquarius

- Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2020I love how this book plays on the astrological signs of the characters! Rebecca has you cheering for Roderick to get his girl back one minute and then trying to convince Eleanor to push him away the next. There is just enough push and pull to keep the pages turning without it becoming over the top. This is a great kick off to this new series. P.S. Eleanor’s mother is a riot!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2020Spoilers-
The H and h had an affair four years ago. The h found out that he was married. She ran off and found herself pregnant. They meet up again. The H wins the h back.
No likes: The H was a cheater since he was married when he had the affair. He acted like an arrogant jerk when he met the h again. The h was a doormat. She told him she wasn’t with anyone else since him and forgave him for lying to her. She went back to the H as soon as they saw each other again. I didn’t like either characters or the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2020Aquarius is my zodiac sign so I definitely couldn’t pass up the opportunity to read this! This story was absolutely amazing! If you haven’t read it, I suggest you do!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2020I was on the fence about how to rate this one. The story was fast-paced and perhaps because of the characters' painful history, I felt it needed more exploration and time than could logically be offered in the wordcount of this novella.
There are some editing issues as well with missing words, clunky sentences and punctuation and capitalization.
However, had it been only that, I would've given it three stars. What really broke the story, was the hero and I'm using this word very loosely here, because Roderick is Not a hero. He's a lying, manipulative, spineless cheater (he admitted that Ellie was not the only woman he cheated with, 'because he's a man and not a monk'). He married for money, took credit for Ellie's work and when the going got tough, he went back to his wife because she had him by the b@lls. He does somewhat redeem himself, but honestly, some wrongs are just too wrong to be forgiven. I really couldn't get past that and thought both Ellie and Izzy deserved better.
