Fenella J Miller was born in the Isle of Man. Her father was a Yorkshire man and her mother the daughter of a Rajah. She has worked as a nanny, cleaner, field worker, hotelier, chef, secondary and primary teacher and is now a full time writer.

She has over sixty Regency romantic adventures published plus four Jane Austen variations, four Victorian sagas and twentyseven WW2 family sagas. Fenella J Miller now writes for Boldwood. She is a widow and lives in a small village in Essex with her British Shorthair cat. She has a son, daughter in law, and a grandson very much part of her life as well as a daughter, granddaughter and grandson living in the US from whom she is estranged.

    Loved the soldier now Duke Richard Sinclair! Great start to a new series. I auto buy anything Fenella J Miller and I am usually not disappointed. I can't wait to read about some of the other characters introduced here and follow them to their HEA. Ms. Miller writes very believable characters whose lives you become invested in as the story proceeds. This is a stand alone story. However, if it proceeds like other series she has done, the other stories that follow will continue into the future emphasizing others introduced in the first work. Very nicely edited, with no glaring errors to detract from the story line.

    Actually my only disappointment was in getting to the end of the story only then to realize there seemed to be an actual sequel and not another story in a series. This story was not really a cliffhanger and perhaps the next one will be about a different set of main characters. The story and characters were delightful and I just do not like to be left hanging at the end of a book without knowing it ahead of time.

    The 3 books are like a mini series and you have to read all 3. The second book is slower than the first and third as I didn't much care for Sarah. Loved the detail of the men's characters with their military background. The female characters did not shine as well as the men.

    A unsuspecting soldier becoming a Duke. What an interesting adventure the story becomes. Saddled with three beautiful young wards and their irritating Mother how will he handle it all? The story progresses nicely and as you get to the end of the book you will be anxiously awaiting the sequel! It is a good clean romantic novel that one surely will enjoy.
