    After reading about the other littles and couples, it only made sense to find out about Miles, and what a sweet story it was. Sleeping beauty and his Daddy.

    I preferred that it was light on the intimacy because their story didn't need it, it gave the insight of their relationship and the beginning of Miles helping other kinksters like himself.
    Of all the littles I have read about Beauty was the sweetest, and it came so natural to picture him smaller when he was dragging around his blankie, binkie and bear.

    And becoming little happened so easily for him, with no internal struggle if it was right or wrong. Just logic and debating with himself until he saw how things were meant to be.

    As always there are side characters that makes me curious and with it, adding to the pile of books I have yet to read. And I would be fool to complain when I get to read so well written and entertaining books.

    Sweet kink is one of my favorite types of books, so I love Shaw Montgomery! This is hands down...one of her best! Miles Sheppard is a tired, grad student that has just finished his Doctorate when he meets Sean, bartender and innate caretaker. This is an excellent Daddy/boy story with the hottest, sweetest kink for which one could ask. This book is not part of a series but to fully appreciate it...I recommend reading everything else written by this author! ;)

    This is only the second or third book I’ve ever preordered on kindle, but I knew it would be good. And it totally delivers.
    We’ve met Dr Sheppard in multiple M A Innes books but here we get to hear his story. This overworked, exhausted grad student who needs to relax and unwind....and the hobby-bartender who rescues him. It’s so nice to meet the doc as a younger man, see his struggles to figure out what he wants to do with that v intelligent brain and truckload of empathy he has. Sean, our lovely Daddy, is sweet, caring and gorgeously written and the relationship evolution is fast and slow enough; we can see the changes but it’s not too drawn out so we do get to the good bits!! The interactions between the two remind me why I love the Daddy concept so much (they’re adorable!!). And the additional characters - Jake, Andrew, Aubrey and others - are just involved enough to be interesting personalities, without taking away from the cosiness of being part of the two MCs’ very intimate-feeling journey. Rereading after I go back to the Pieces series!!

    I totally didn’t understand the appeal of age play before I read this book. The purpose, the benefits, the logistics... Other books I’ve read, touched on the subject. In particular Maddox and Bryan from M.A. Innes ‘Loving’ series. That series gave me the push to read this book. Miles is the psychologist of Jeremy and Kevin. ‘Rethinking Fate’ is the story of Miles and his partner Sean. I view it as a spinoff prequel to the ‘Loving’ series.

    I loved how the story addressed multiple aspects of the age play kink. I feel like I finally understand it enough to seek out more romances that incorporate it. In Rethinking Fate, age play was shown as part of the BDSM lifestyle. Whips and chains always seem too dark for my reading preferences. Age play trades darkness for light while keeping the domination and submission aspects. Think leather teddy bears, soft cotton, and an oral fixation. The joy of nurturing and being nurtured. Diapers not required.

    The only negative is that I now want an adult sized rocking horse. Maybe the author could have included a supplier directory as an appendix?
