David E Burke is an accomplished freelance writer. He lives with his wife in the Cotswolds. After a long career in advertising, he decided to turn his hand to writing detective stories. He is a big fan of thriller writers including Agatha Christie, Raymond Chandler and Ian Fleming.

The island of Menorca, where he and his wife lived for 4 years, became the inspiration for his Frank Harmer detective books. Blue Murder was the first to be published in 2017 and The Fiesta Murders, his most accomplished work so far, was published in August 2020.

    This is the third in the series and I've been very critical of novel 1 and ambivalent about novel 2.

    This author has now found his voice, an ability to develop characters and to produce a plot that is intriguing and (mostly) convincing.

    I really enjoyed working my way through this one. And now really look forward to reading more in this series.
