First six books in the series. Very enjoyable with great characters and action. Lots of potential for the future. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Overall I thought this was a really good series. The characters were very well written and developed. The story was unique. The concept was similar to the story of the Roswell crash. An alien spacecraft is discovered and then reverse engineered and then adapted to human technology.
The adventures begin with the first test run, when a well meaning saboteur sends the crew off to another star system.
The crew sets down a dead planet to effect repairs and runs into a mystery and then hostile aliens arrive.
Unfortunately, this is not the complete series, as I had hoped. It is only the first six books of a thirteen book series. At least it concludes the entire first story arc.
Keeping that in mind, that this is only the first six books of the series, I can highly recommend it.

It is a fun story reminiscent of E.E.Smith or John Campbell. The antics of our little team is more along the lines of stories at the turn of the last century. The technology is updated, but the Doc Savage type of hero with his collection of uniquely different individuals willing to join together as friends to defeat the wicked aliens without the help of any stinking government getting in the way is just not the way things are done in today's bureaucratic world. Still that's what happens when John Carraway billionaire industrialist goes searching for some mineral deposits on the moon and discovers an ancient war damaged spaceship. He gathers his crew like Howard Hughes, and proceeds to rebuild the ship. Something goes wrong on the first test cruise, and there they are facing the lizard people. The set is just loaded with editing errors. Misspelled words, incorrect words, extra words, missing words. The story is good enough to overlook these problems, but come on! I recommend the book merely because of the old romantic science fiction of the good old days.

I read the first 6 stories about the Starship Satori. Most of them are excellent short stories that build the overall story with each episode. The second spent too much time on rehashing the first. But the author didn’t repeat everything in the subsequent episodes. So I recommend reading each in sequence. If you want to skip the second story you will miss some things that may explain future stories.
The author did a good job of making the technology used in the book to be believable and not magical. There are lots of battles in these stories and plenty of humanistic stories as well.
It is always good when I think the stories are too short. They are well written and I want more.

These six volumes-short six-are just a decent story. Nothing new here. Sometimes you read just for entertainment and that is here but you leave hungry for something of more substance. It is a space opera but a minor one.

I actually like all of it but the scene with the crabs coming in and the little snail like creatures dropping down water in the cave was kind of hard to believe the other part that I thought was hard to believe what is that cherish got out alive finally took everything killing but it also killed John in the process and I did one John dead how do they got that part is one of the most interesting stories I have ever read it didn't go overboard on science fiction All it relied on was good guy bad guy science that's within reach and the hope that Humanity has I would recommend this book to other people but they have to read the whole series it was well worth it and it wasn't a waste of my time you left me with the idea there is still hope for Humanity no matter what it does thank you

From start to finish not a wasted word. Every line, every paragraph holding me completely rapt; captivated, drawing me ever onward.
Kevin McLaughlin takes storytelling to another level and turns it into an art form. Dip your toe and see if you agree with me. I would certainly recommend him to anyone who enjoys a good story, well told. Off to buy the next book in the series now! 😁

Carino, ma non di più. Personaggi per lo più stereotipati, con poche eccezioni. Struttura fumettosa, più che da romanzo. Trama troppo, troppo prevedibile. Non cercherò il seguito.
