    After reading a different series from this author, and loving it, I thought I’d try this one. This first book of this series confirms it is definitely the style of writing that this author has that keeps me coming back for more. Loved this story. The way she wrote the male character to show he was still grieving broke my heart. I felt for the daughter who was trying to move on in spite of her father’s inability to do so. I loved Clem! She was honest, endearing, fun, and hopeful. Loved watching her gain confidence and stand up for herself. Can’t wait for book 2.

For all the day to day things Clem doesn’t know, she is amazing with people and the bond she builds with Mere is beautiful. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way as Clem and Keith have to both fight for the future that they want.
