About the author

Suzanne lives in Middlesex, England with her husband, two children, a crazy cocker spaniel and a rather aloof cat.
Her writing journey began at the age of twelve when she completed her first novel. She discovered the fantasy genre in her late teens and has never looked back. Giving up work to raise a family gave Suzanne the impetus to take her attempts at novel writing beyond the first draft, and she is lucky enough to have a husband who supports her dream - even if he does occasionally hint that she might think about getting a proper job one day.
Now an author of four fantasy novels, including the Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy and a standalone fantasy, Visions of Zarua, Suzanne has recently turned her hand to short stories with three collections published to date.
She loves gardening and has a Hebe (shrub) fetish. She enjoys cooking with ingredients from the garden and regularly feeds unsuspecting guests vegetable-based cakes.
Suzanne collects books, is interested in history and enjoys wandering around castles and old ruins whilst being immersed in the past. She likes to combine her love of nature and photography on family walks, but most of all she loves to escape with a great film, binge watch TV shows, or soak in a hot bubble bath with an ice cream and a book.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI enjoyed this fantasy story with strong characters United against evil. Even
while engaged in battle, characters still had a chance of redemption. You will not be able to stop reading once you pick up the first book!!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseTHE SENTINEL'S ALLIANCE is a thrilling conclusion to this unique trilogy of fantasy, magic, destiny, secrecy, and war. Characters come and characters go all while battle is waged for the future of magic in the isles of the Silent Sea. Exciting, determined, and satisfying, this series is one any fantasy reader might enjoy.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 15, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI think I shall miss the Silent Sea. Perhaps Suzanne Rogerson will take us to explore other islands? Her characters are well developed, the world well defined.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2019Format: KindleThe Sentinel’s Alliance is an epic conclusion to a fantastic series. I haven’t been disappointed once in these three books, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read them!
It seems everyone is after the magic users and Tei and a band of allies must travel to Stone Haven, where magic users are hated. It’s a dangerous and tricky game of strategy, alliances and war. I love how action packed this story is. A lot of the returning characters in this novel are ones I have come to adore, and it was nerve-wracking to worry about their safety all the way through.
I love this series, and I’m sad to see it end. I took longer to read this one, because I wasn’t ready to leave this world or these characters. I love Suzanne Rogerson’s writing. I can’t wait to read more from her. I highly recommend this series! You won’t want to miss it!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2019Format: KindleIt's a good sign when you finish an exciting, suspense filled, action riddled, read that hits all the high points. We received vengeance even though it comes at a high price. The Sentinel?? Well she does some things and no she isn't real good at coloring in the lines however she does get results. It may be fate that makes it all work out but it doesn't mean there's plenty of manipulation going on. The Confidante and the Assemblyman find their way into more action proving they aren't city folk but their love does withstand all the test and even a little tear shed. This isn't all but hell bells it isn't my job to tell you the resolution does come and it is woven into all types of stuff going on. This author has done wonderful things in the name of fantasy and it's a sight to behold. It is a clean read and that just makes it shine. There's romance and happy endings which takes away some of the pain of loss but that's only part of the story. Overcoming odds and prejudice and learning to live without fear as a people tops it all. Awesome series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2019Format: KindleNow Rathnor is gone, the island of Kalaya is slowly healing. Commander Farrell is going home back to Stone Haven, but unbeknown to them all, a new threat is waiting for them on the seas.
I have been eagerly waiting for this book, having read the first two in the series, I was really invested in the lives of the residents of Kalaya and Stone Haven and it was good to get back to them, to find out how everyone’s lives had changed after the battle.
Whilst Tei and Brogan still had major roles to play, the majority of the story was centred around Commander Farrell and his conviction to improve the lives of the Stone Haven residents. As the story takes you to Stone Haven, you learn more about the struggles that they have had to overcome and you understand why Farrell is so passionate about his cause. However, he is not the only one who wants to change things for the better and you can see what dilemmas Callisa has to overcome without putting the lives of others at risk and there were times that I felt sorry for her as whilst everyone loved her, she was lonely.
As more and more characters are introduced, we get to learn more about their lives and I enjoyed finding out more about Nadan and how Rathnor ruined his life.
This story was a steadier pace than the Sentinel’s Reign as we follow Farrell, Tei and Brogan as they try and form a union with all the islands. However, whilst I was reading it, I felt there was something brewing in the background ready to upset the unity and how right I was. Captain Jaconn had an unhealthy fixation with the mysterious Fire mage, in the same way as Captain Ahab had with Moby Dick. He was an evil man who wanted to eradicate magic.
As I was reading this story, I thought I knew where this story was going, but there were a few surprises that I did not see coming and I did spend time just sitting in amazement at what I had just read.
This series has been a great read and I have enjoyed watching all the characters grow and adapt to whatever was thrown at them. Whilst at the moment, this is the final book in the series, I was pleased to read the author’s notes at the back of the book and I would love to read more about the Silent Seas and to learn more about some of the characters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Saga
Format: KindleVerified PurchasePhewee, just finished Book Three, I read all three books one after the other and now I'm at a loss. I hope Suzanne writes more about this world and its characters, it's well written and utterly magical!
