Sex Ed Kindle Edition
Not the fact that he’s a geeky comic book lover, or that he secretly draws his own comic, Bunny Fu Ninja Warrior. It’s not even classified information that he’s out and proud!
His secret is the shame that he’s a twenty-three-year-old virgin.
Jaxson isn’t waiting for marriage or even afraid of taking that step, he just hasn’t found the one guy who will accept all of his adorkable qualities. Due to an unfortunate mishap with a self-pleasuring apparatus and his favorite appendage, Jaxson meets
Tyler Mason. The emerald-green-eyed nurse is a witness to the mortifying incident, leaving Jaxon both grateful and disappointed in their one-time meeting.
And then Tyler somehow shows up at Jaxon’s family dinner. The very dinner at which Jaxson’s hidden virginity is revealed to everyone, including the captivating nurse.
Even though he secretly found the ER situation hilarious, Tyler is also able to look past it to see Jaxson’s genuine nature and is drawn to the charming and hapless comic book artist. He’s tempted to pursue the inexperienced Jaxson, but a recent and life-altering decision puts a damper on his wants and desires. However, the more time they spent together, the more willing he is to take the risk of juggling his new commitments and winning Jaxon’s affections.
A large, insane, and meddlesome family, two prying co-workers, and a sexy nurse are all trying to give Jaxson a crash course in Sex Ed. Will he pass?
This book is filled with sarcastic humor, questionable language and laugh-out-loud moments. The author takes no responsibility in you soiling yourself in laughter. It also contains hot and steamy moments between men. Recommended for +18

About the author

As a little girl, it was always a dream for Z.B. Heller to become She-Ra Princess of Power. Since this fantasy was unobtainable, as was the one of being a Thundercat, she spent what was probably too long in college trying to "find herself." Becoming a multimedia artist scratched the creative itch while she taught elementary and middle school. It wasn't until the stories in her head got to be too loud for her to get anything else accomplished. Possibly was more of a psychiatric break from kids sharing all they're mucous. Heller writes both m/f and m/m stories but believes the meaning behind it all is not the matter of gender; everyone likes a good romp in the hay. She lives in St. Louis with her husband, son and Flemish Giant rabbit Chloe. In her spare time (what is that?), she likes to read, stalk other authors that usually ends in restraining orders and is back in school for her second Masters in School Counseling. Oh, those poor children.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2020I laughed so hard and so often throughout this book that I got a cramp in my side. Sex Ed by Z.B. Heller is one of those books that is comedy gold. This book is filled with outrageous and zany characters that find themselves in unbelievable yet believable circumstances that are drink-spitting funny. Jaxson Dane is a young man who is shy and geeky with one of the most loveable and crazy families out there. He also happens to be a virgin. Tyler Mason is a young man shouldering the responsibilities of fatherhood after a tragic accident leaves his nephew orphaned. And he also happens to fall in love with Jaxson. Together, these two young men manage to come together and fall in love, all the while stumbling forward into adulthood.
I adore everything about this book from the humor to the plot to the characterization of both the primary couple and the secondary characters. Jaxson and Tyler both have to figure out what being in a relationship means for them and where the boundaries and limits are. They stumble and fumble, but ultimately, they are perfect for each other. And even though Jaxson is a virgin, the sexual tension and build up to the “big event” is both hot and tender. One of my favorite scenes happens at the nightclub when Jaxson and Tyler are dancing together –their chemistry is undeniable and that scene just sizzled.
Michael Lesley narrated the audiobook and did a fantastic job. There is a lot of situational humor within this book, and it takes a skilled narrated to be able to not only perform those scenes, but also enhance them—which Michael did with his fantastic performance. He kept all the character voices unique yet consistent, and was able to do deadpanned comments to pure freak-out reactions deftly throughout the book. His narration of this book was phenomenal and I can’t express how much I enjoyed it.
I can’t recommend this book enough. It has a little bit of everything: coming-of-age, humor, family drama, sex, fluff, angst, and romance. Just don’t read or listen to this book while drinking anything, you might accidentally choke from laughing too hard, something that happened to me, but it was totally worth it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2023I won't summarize the plot. I thought it hit the mark on humor though at times a little too hard and was a little cringy but I still laughed. I loved the characters and their development. Was sweet and hot. I was hoping the secondary characters like the MC's co-worker would get a book as I would read that also. I liked the writing style of the author, pace and character development. It's engaging and a worthwhile read.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2017I would have written this review earlier but I was still wiping my eyes from laughing so hard. I have never laughed so much reading a book as I did with Sex Ed. What a fabulous experience! There was so much about this book that I loved: the characters were amazing, the writing was incredible and the sexy scenes were delicious.
Jaxson and Taylor. I have no idea where to begin. Poor Jaxson......he was just stumbling along until one fateful day in the ER he meets the beautiful shamrock nurse Taylor and the journey begins. I just wanted to hug Jaxson. As a woman from the south, all I could say was "bless his heart". These two men were perfect for each other and I loved how Taylor was with Jaxson. Add to the mix the insane family and friends of Jaxson and it was a roller coaster ride you'll never forget. The secondary characters in this book are just as important as the MC's and add so much to the story. I just hope that some of these secondary characters get their own story because that would make for a wonderful book as well.
This book was smart, witty, snarky, smoking hot sexy and a delight to read. I borrowed this book with KU and I was so enamored that I immediately turned around and bought it - it was that good. This is my first exposure to ZB Heller and I plan on going out and downloading some more. What a wonderful surprise to find such a talented author. Read this book, you won't be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2022The first half of this book is really sweet and funny. The last half ends up feeling kind of forced. I did enjoy it overall and I'm reading the second book - Jingle Balls - about this couple. This is my first book by this author, I'm reserving my opinion on continued reading until after the second book.

Sex Ed is the latest standalone from rom-com veteran Z.B. Heller. It does interconnected with characters from her previous books as the MC Jaxson is the son of Moxie (The Chronicles of Moxie), but it reads perfectly by itself.
Jaxson Dane is your typical comic book nerd. He's single, lives alone, sketches on the side. The thing is, he's a virgin. After an unfortunate mishap, he finds himself in the hospital and in front of one of the hottest male nurses he's ever seen.
Tyler knows that he's got feelings for Jaxson. He adores his quirks and he's not bad to look at. The thing is, Tyler is now caring for his teenage nephew and doesn't have time for relationships. As hard as he tries though, his attraction to Jaxson is undeniable.
ZB pulls out all the stops with Sex Ed. It was completely hilarious but also sweet and endearing. It was great to read some of my favorite characters again while getting to know new characters from the series of books. Jaxson and Tyler have a great relationship and banter, and their chemistry is off the charts. I'd love to read Sex Ed again for the first time! I can't even count how many times I caught my self laughing as well as cringing. The situations Jaxson finds himself in are just...you just have to read it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Köstlich

5.0 out of 5 stars unless you have a phobia about sex toys – a lighthearted read!
I was intrigued by a teaser for Sex Ed by Z.B. Heller which depicted a geeky character with sassy overtones. Pressing all my buttons, I instantly pre-ordered!
Having not read Z.B.’s work before, I was cautiously excited by the synopsis. For me, though, it always comes down to the quality of the writing and the strength of the characters. Sex Ed did not disappoint!
Jaxson and Tyler had instant chemistry and a dynamic connection which just flew out of the pages. I’m sure my Kindle had steam!
Always the sign of a great tale is the secondary characters and being able to easily identify who they are and where they belong in the world. ZB Heller has a gift for characters which made all the players in this story completely believable and real enough that I wanted to be friends with them all!
If you enjoy a bit of geeky/nerdy banter and some real giggles – you will delight in reading Sex Ed by ZB Heller. An easy book to devour with lots of fun and relatable characters . . . and unless you have a phobia about sex toys – a lighthearted read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny and Sweet
I found this very funny at times, especially near the beginning, and then rather annoying at times, especially the coarse and endless banter between Jaxsons sister and his friend, but on the whole an amusing and enjoyable read. Jaxson, a twenty-three year old virgin, is a total sweetheart, goofy, kind, and the most stumbling, accident prone mc I’ve ever read. He remains a virgin because he is shy, scared of rejection, and lacking self worth. Lucky for him he mets the best candidate for a boyfriend, Tyler, and that is where the fun, and a little bit of angst, begins.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and funny!!
I couldn’t help the smile on my face while reading this book, all the characters were likeable, their antics all a bit crazy, but it was a whole lot of fun!!
Poor Jaxson and his sexual mishaps, I felt bad and embarrassed for him. But.. if not for the first debacle, Tyler would never have come into his life!
And I really liked that Tyler was a bit complicated, having Colton to worry about made him a better and more interesting man (and he was already a pretty good one)!
This was a new to me author, if they keep on this fun and lighthearted trajectory I’ll definitely be reading more of their works!!
