If you loved the TV show like I did, you will love this book. This author has it all right. The Characters are true, and the action is non-stop, which is what I like in an Atlantis book. I really enjoyed reading this, and give it my highest recommendation. The book did not drag at any point--the story just continued in hyper-drive. I could not have enjoyed it more. My next click of the mouse is to find more of his books!

The first thing I want from a book that uses characters from a show or realm created by someone else is that it's 'true' to the characters' personalities. The second thing I want is a storyline that is also 'true' in that sense and lets me visualize both story and characters as if I were watching it. This book does both.

The verbals exchanges between Teyla and Ronan, Sheppard and McKay, etc. are all what you'd find in an episode. That makes it easy to visualize this as as episode, and hey, isn't that why we read these? Good job - not great, but certainly an entertaining way to spend my reading time and money. This was a fast paced book from the beginning all the way through the book. After they found the ship that was buried on one of the moon's, it was somewhat of a mystery as to who it belong to. They now know who the ship belongs to and why the people are sick. In the end the people are healed by the Warith in order to be allowed to leave the planet alive.

As I hated this author's SG-1 novel, I had low expectations going in but this one wasn't half bad. Not up to the standards of the Legacy series but still worth the read. Takes place early season four.

Amazon shopping is one of the best internet sites to buy things from. You simply get on line, place you order and wham it's pretty much on your front door step within a couple of weeks. If somethings unavailable they'll let you know and you can put in on back order. They always keep you up to date where your stuff is, and you always get the good price.
Highly recommend if you want to buy something, check it out at amazon first.

I bought this copy of the book for my kindle. I had purchased the paperback book, hoping to get the entire series, only to find the latest books were only available by kindle, this has possibly changed since then. I liked the book, so decided to get all of the Stargate Atlantis books for the kindle. At least I can save a little money on postage.

I liked Nightfall pretty well. I thought the characters were fairly true to how they were portrayed on the TV show, despite what some of the other reviewers thought. The characters weren't quite as funny as they are on the show, but McKay wasn't as obnoxious either, so I'll give the author a bit of a pass on the humor. I liked that there was plenty of Carter and Lorne and very little Zelenka. The plot was creative and there was a good amount of action. I could easily imagine this as a 2 or 3 part story arc in the series. This book stands up pretty well in the genre of novelizations of TV shows.

I have every single one of the SG1 and SGA books and all the writers have gotten the characters spot on, if they were off, i wouldn't buy any more books, I recommend all of them, tho I have a fondness for Homecoming, where they leave Earth to go back to the Pegasus galaxy, you find out how the Wraith came about, gradually as you go thro the series, new characters are added and they fit in well, go ahead, start with Homecoming and work your way thro, all your favourites are there.

I loved this particular book because the characters were the ones that made the series so wonderful. Hooray for the writer to choose to include Sam in this particular book.
Stargate always presents the best of both worlds yet allowing our imaginations to grasp and be included in new worlds. I always feel like I am there and I know the characters really well.
I loved the storyline of this book. Everyone weighing up the options that are presented, working together as a team and 'fixing' what they can for a solution.
You will always find me behind a book of this calibre, light reading but engrossing and captivating.

Het boek is heel leuk en het engels is goed te begrijpen. Je moet wel achtergrondkennis van de serie hebben om het boek echt te kunnen begrijpen.
    Echt een aanrader
