Sinner's Ransom: Taken (Criminal Delights Book 10) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 381 ratings

Montgomery Booker has it all—good looks, an inheritance, and an endless list of hookups. He uses his social elite influence to bully, manipulate, and blackmail, and he’s not ashamed of it. Quite the contrary, he enjoys it. But when he’s kidnapped, forced into ropes and gagged, he discovers the consequences of his actions when no one cares enough to send help.

Stone and his crew have one job: kidnap a spoiled, pretty boy and hit up his rich daddy for cash. When dear old dad refuses to pay the ransom, Stone switches to plan B. The torture he delivers doesn’t have the effect he expects on Montgomery though, and Stone savors every cry that leaves his pretty mouth.

If someone finally comes for Montgomery, will he be able to walk away from the man who made him feel this kind of delicious pain? And will Stone let him?

This book was no disappointment. It is a stunning example of human imperfections and beautifully written. From the moment you pick up this book you'll be enthralled and sucked into M.D. Gregorys' world never wanting to leave. M.D. Gregory has a habit of leaving you wanting, no needing more. If you've never read a M.D. Gregory book before now you'll want to get yourself his complete set of books, especially the ones that are connected to this special universe that Killough belong to. Enjoy this book, I know you will.

    I really love your books M.D. Gregory☺

A short crime novel centering a MM dark romance. An evil billionaire’s spoiled son is kidnapped for ransom by a group of men wronged by his father.
Things don’t go as planned, both because he claims to hate his father and offers to help them and they don’t know if it’s a genuine offer or a trick, and because he’s a masochist so hurting him to sell the ransom threat for photos and videos does not have the desired reaction.

This is more a dark romance with a crime setting than a crime book, and I enjoyed it but it’s not something I’d recommend to fans of the crime genre by any means. Some kinky mature scenes and descriptions of violence.

Part of a collection of crime-themed MM dark romance that’s on Kindle Unlimited. I liked this one better than most of them.

This might be a me issue but I was not at all interested in the main mcs.

They were fine, but not that interesting. The blackmail was awesome, but the ending was too bland.

But I'm trying to read all the books related to the pet and this was the next one on the list.

Montgomery, a spoiled, arrogant brat is kidnapped by a group of criminals who want the money and revenge against his father. Plans go off the rails when dad won't pay the ransom. Montgomery is infatuated with the main kidnapper and decides to help the gang get their ransom. Complications and missteps abound but we do get a very satisfying end. A great read.

This was one of the better Criminal Delights that I have read in the series. Take on the violence and gore. But a good read.

I never thought I'd be capable of rooting for a "bad guy," but it's pretty difficult to tell who that is in this story. Some of the fear is so palpable that I found myself holding my breath. And when certain things are brought to light that show how someone goes from a typical person to someone who treats others like dirt, it really captivated me. I wouldn't mind seeing more from these main characters, but it was written so beautifully that I can be happy with their story ending here for me if that's what happens.

M.D. Gregory is a new author to me, and I haven't read much in M/m genre, but I thought I'd give this one a go.

Yes, it's a little dark, as advertised, and there is choking, which IRL is a hard pass for me, so there's a 50/50 chance that can be a major squick for me reading. I didn't get that here, so maybe I'm getting jaded to extra dark romance?

There was something I found quite affecting in this story, sweet even, tender, between the (anti-)heroes, Stone and Monty. I can guess the appearance of the mob boss & his boy are call backs to characters from a previous entry in this series, and...wow...I am curious about those two. And the side character, the assassin, Arden...

Okay, I am indeed completely jaded at this point. I'll need to indulge in some more Criminal Delights, I reckon.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book hooked me from the start and I couldn't put it down. Finished in less than 24 hours. Montgomery is a spoiled little brat who gets kidnapped to pay for his father's sins by Stone. This is a great story of instalust, filled with a great deal of delicious painplay. I especially loved that Monty joins forces with Stone and his crew. It gave it an Excess Baggage kinda feel. Absolutely worth the read!
