- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is a good book to read, it's not too long and doesn't have a complicated plot. It even has a good ending.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2019Format: KindleOne good thing that the book had going for it that I feel often lacks in books like this is that all the characters started off with distinct personalities, rather than being all kind of bland. However, I don't think the author did a good job at developing those personalities or developing any of the relationships besides the two sisters. They were one distinct way and then suddenly they weren't in order to suit the relationship or plot or whatever was happening. I also thought that everything ended all wrapped up nice in a little bow and it didn't seem realistic. Nellie and Claire had been in that town for a week or less and by the end of the book were wildly in love/engaged. Bart got over his thirst for vengeance very quickly in the end, too. But the book did keep me entertained and interested, despite the problems that it had, and it was a nice quick read.
I am voluntarily reviewing this after receiving a free copy.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2019Format: KindleI did like some of the characters but overall this book just didn't hold my interest the way I hoped it would have
- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2019Format: KindleI have to admit, this book started out slow for me. I had a hard time liking any of the characters (actually, I disliked them a lot) and I almost quit reading because of it. But I hate to quit reading because I know authors wouldn't write about someone so unlikeable and I knew the book would turn around. It did. At about halfway, the characters' backstories slowly started to come out and I understood them better. If this were a longer book, I'd have given up, but it's a quick read and I stuck with it. Now I'm glad I did, and I ended up liking it so much that I just might even go ahead and check out the next book in the series because I'm so curious about the villain in this first book! (The second book is apparently about the villain.)
This book is full of loyalty, determination, and tender love. An uplifting story that will leave a smile on your face.
I received a free copy of this book and am a very satisfied reader. I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2019Format: KindleSuch a very clean sweet romance in the old West, Sisters in the West starts with two greenhorn Eastern women, one to take the job of school teacher and the other to keep watch over her sister. Enter the villain (boo hiss!) with a vendetta against their father. Luckily there is a fine sheriff and a rancher who both take an interest in the ladies and will do anything to keep them safe.
A quick read that tugged at my heartstrings reminding me of when my dear husband spent hours watching old classic Westerns. This is a keeper.
I received this book free for unbiased review.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2019Format: KindleA short quick story to read by an Author I have not read before. A well written storyline that kept me turning pages. These two sisters Claire and Nellie Preston could not be more different in both looks and personality. There is suspense, drama, danger, outlaws, a father that was not a nice man, and romance. The story takes place in West Peaks, Alberta, where the sisters move to. I enjoyed reading this story and will be looking at the next book in this series. I received an Arc copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute light hearted read
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI liked this book though I couldn't stand Claire at times. Her sister was much more relatable.
Might read the rest of the series!
