Snapshot (Leading Light Book 1) Kindle Edition
“It was never supposed to be serious…”
A few photos are all it takes for Owen Hart’s world to change in an instant. Outed to the public eye after what was already a rough breakup, the actor is more than glad to flee to a small Washington town to film his next movie so he can try to put himself back together. When he runs into a cute local, well, what’s the harm in a rebound? He can have fun for a few weeks, then walk away when filming ends and never have to think about James again.
Except thinking about him is all Owen can do, and as time ticks down until filming is over Owen isn’t sure if he can walk away…or if he even wants to.
“We’re all wrong for each other…aren’t we?”
Burned in the past by the ugly side of fame, James Fahey wants nothing to do with the movie and all the chaos that disrupts the little town he lives in. Let the other townsfolk gawk at the actors and dream of lives full of paparazzi and glamour; James plans to keep his head down and count down the days until the movie rolls back out of town.
But staying away from the charming lead actor is harder than he expects, and he can’t help but give in. Owen is perfect…for someone who wants a life full of media attention.
It isn’t just a fling, and suddenly the future of their relationship hinges on one little snapshot…
“Because you, me, us? We’re worth fighting for.”

About the author

Reegan Ellis has been an avid reader since she was old enough to start sounding out her letters. She swears like a sailor, geeks out over all manner of different things, and loves to read and write stories about people finally finding the one person they truly belong with. Taking a chance at being a full-time writer at last, Reegan lives in the Shadow of the Rocky Mountains with her cat where she drinks far too much coffee and fails enthusiastically at every variety of arts and crafts you can think of.
Keep an eye out--more romance novels are soon to come!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI'm a little depressed that this is Reegan's first book because I'd seriously be downloading every book she ever wrote! I'm also a little depressed because it's over! Bit this book is going in my favorite books of 2016 and I'm sure I'll be reading it again before this year's up! I also can't wait for her next book!
Owen is so sweet and wonderful and I love how James came into himself! I'd even be happy with some sort of sequel! Yep, I loved it that much and to think that this was her first book...kudos and keep up the great work!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was a very enjoyable story and I like watching James' and Owen's relationship develop. Owen was absolutely wonderful; just so easy to like and root for. James, on the other hand, came off as too much of a moody, grouchy brat for most of the story. It was also nice that sex scenes were not ridiculous over-the-top with the exception of the gratuitous scene at the end.
There were quite a few grammar, spelling and questionable word choices, but, while annoying, did not detract from the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 8, 2023Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI really liked this book. They hooked up near the beginning, but then fell for each other before their second experience.
The thing that turned it into three stars was the lack of content warning. A seemingly unimportant scene late in the book involved a roofie. Thankfully it was for extortion, not assault, but it felt unnecessary.
I liked this book enough to read others by this author, but I won't read more if there are further undisclosed triggers.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2018Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAbout a guy from a wealthy family hiding out and meeting a Hollywood actor. Bringing him back into the limelight he is trying to avoid.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2018Format: KindleAnother sweet romance from this author! Loved it! Owen and James has great chemistry. The stuff with his mother though seemed like an odd situation and would have liked to seen more tension in that. Other wise it was a good little story.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis was a quick and enjoyable read. It would be perfect for traveling. It doesn't feel rush at all expect for the lost part but even that work for them. It is a witty, charming and enjoyable book to read.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2016Format: KindleThis was so very good. I loved how snarky James was and how it just made Owen like him more. James grew up under the harsh light of the public eye and moved to a small town in Washington state as soon as he turned 18, all he wanted was a normal life. When a film crew descends on the town the last thing he wants is to have anything to do with it. Owens is one of the stars of the movie, he took the role to get out of New York because of a very public break up. When Owen ducks into a bakery to avoid some fans he meets James, who so very not impressed with the star. What starts as just a rebound fling becomes something more that neither was prepared for. After filming ends and Owen returns to New York the last person he expects of see when he lands is James who is in town to visit family. Can James deal with being in the public eye again to build something with Owen or will betrayals tear them apart. Read it and find out for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is my first book, by this author.
I enjoyed the banter between all the characters but especially between James and Owen. The background information the author included made this a really good read. I am looking forward to reading many more books from Reagan Ellis.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really enjoyed
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI've had this book in my library for ages and I'm so glad I got around to reading it. It's a great story with lots of complications and ups and downs. I thought the chemistry between the main characters was genuine and you just wanted it to all work out for them, which is does. The author had entwined lots of humour between the characters, I found myself chuckling s few times throughout the book. First book I've read from this author and it definitely will not be the last.
