- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2019Loved this one as well. But I'm hoping this story teller is going to tie up some loose ends in future books! I feel certain there will be some resolutions and I'm looking forward too those books...!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2019Johan is a medium who discovers he's been blocking and repressing his ability to serve his day job as a lawyer. Nova is just coming in to her Magik after having her ability repressed by her mother. When they meet, a storm of emotions crash together. HFN.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2019This book is about Johan, an attorney friend of Edi’s and a medium. He’s been struggling at both of those jobs. Nova is another friend of Edi’s who makes candles and soaps to sell in the shop. She is a magik but doesn’t know her skill. Eli is helping her find it. When Johan shows up in Edi’s shop she does some match making and sends Nova and Johan off to have a summer fling. They are flinging alright...within hour of meeting they’re at it. The whole thing felt really rushed to me and things were kept simple.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2019This is book 2 in the Pagan Pleasure series. You don't have to read book 1, Beltane Bliss but it does help with knowing who Edi is. Johan is a lawyer and is burnt out from his last case. He is told to take a break, which his parents have been asking him to do also. He leaves and heads to Edi shop, Crystal Sands. There he meets Nova. She makes candles for Edi shop. Right from the start these two have chemistry. This book is a fast read but i loved it. I wish it was a bit longer to tell us what happens more with these 2.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2019Solstice Sizzle was about a lawyer who was close to burn out and went south for a trip when he run into Nova McGinnis who turns out to be the perfect distraction. The relationship was rushed and seemed more to be a summer romance. The choice between a summer fling, lust or love was the choice the reader had to choose from. The romance was witty but for me it would have been better if there were more bones in the story to pick from and build a fire between the main characters that would rock the relationship.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2019I enjoyed the book but you really should read book one to help. Not required but you get more from the story.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2019This was a cute, magical story centered around Johan and Nova (who we met in book one). The story was a quick read and a very entertaining about truly finding yourself. You also get to see a little bit from Edi (book one in series) and what is going on in her life.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 25, 2019This book was a quick, sexy read that brings Johan, an attorney (and medium), and Nova a newbie to the magiks together through a mutual friend. Johan is struggling with life back home and needs some downtime so he decides to take a trip to visit Edith at her new shop, Crystal Sands. There he meets Nova, who Edith is giving lessons to. There is instant attraction and this begins a whirlwind romance.
This book is a quick read, and maybe it is perhaps because of that some of the characters and ideas feel rushed and not really fleshed our all the way. Also, there is prequel to this book that I haven’t read that might make some of things that are a little confusing fit together more. So for me this quickie could have been made better by maybe being a little bit longer and giving a little more explanation to things. All in all my suggestion would be if you like a paranormal, quick read that brings steam to the pages this book might be for you.
