    Such a masterpiece!
This book got me at the word “a road trip”; as I always have a weak spot for books that include traveling, so yeah, I knew that I’m gonna love it even before starting it
So basically, I don’t think that this synopsis did the book its justice; it makes it look like a cliché kind of book, but GUYS, it’s so much more than that.
I adored this book, I didn’t expect to be this clingy to it, but I am, I just can’t get over this beautiful book.

    My summary:
Kate had everything she ever wished for; she was always happy with her life, and honestly, how can she not be? Her life was literally perfect. But then an awful accident took everything good in her life. It left her lost, lonely, and a walking mess. After two years, of just barely living, she decided to take matters into her own hands, and drive across the country until she finds a new city, where she can build a new life. But nothing ever goes as planned, right? She has to take a family friend with her(Ryan Grant). Trapped between her past life and her new feelings that are growing rather fast to Ryan, Kate is fighting to break the hold that the past has on her, she wants to be free, she needs to be free!
On the other hand, Ryan, tries his best to keep his distance from kate and her tangled past, and focus on his work; that's what he's supposed to do right? just get a ride to seattle. But maybe it's more than just a road trip.
So this book includes traveling, music, love, lust, laughter, sadness. It has everything I was looking for, and it’s perfect.
“ “Honestly, I don’t know if I have a favorite,” he emphasizes the word. “I like a lot of different music, and find myself listening to different things depending on my mood or where I’m at in my life.” I secretly love that answer. A lot actually. “
And I love that it also includes the two perspectives, Kate’s and Ryan’s. So it felt so good knowing what these two think about.
Ryan, humm, what can I say? Is there anything better than reading about a sexy, rich nerd? Like seriously, I fell in love with him from the very beginning
“Dammit, I’ve missed her lips, her taste, her smell, her touch. I’m dizzy. I’m lost. I’m never coming up for air again. Everything I need to survive is in my arms right now, and I’m never letting go. Ever. “Katie,”I breathe, and she shudders.”
I loved going with Kate, from being emotionally drained, to hopelessly in love, the stages she went through was so moving and sentimental.
“We run in silence, enjoying the sunrise over the ocean and I swear there are few things more beautiful than this. Pinks and purples and yellows fill the sky, bathing us in light. The salty breeze brushes my skin, sticking to my moistened flesh.”
A HAPPY ENDING! phew, finally, I found a good book with a happy ending, I almost lost hope of finding one; there was something so satisfying about reading this ending :)

    J. SAMAN has a beautiful way with words. She makes every city magical; I felt as I was like in the back seat with Kate and Ryan.
It’s my first book for her, and honestly, it won’t be the last ;)
And I had the opportunity to talk to the author; she’s one of the friendliest persons that I’ve come across. So thank you, it was a real pleasure talking and knowing you xxo

This is a beautiful story about finding love after loss. Katie suffered a huge loss that she’s still coming to terms with, when she decides to take a cross country trip.

Ryan re-enters her life when he decides to travel with her across the country. It was fun to see how their past reconnects them, building their present, and leads to a future together.

It was fun to watch them experience their travels as they go around the country, and build a relationship that starts with a friendship and turns into so much more.

I like how this story did not gloss over the pain of her loss. She really had to work through her past in order to accept that she had a future with Ryan. This is a really good book and I highly recommend it.

    Wonderful ending!!

Let me start by admitting that I’m not normally a fan of romance, but the touch of depth and emotion in this story kept me engaged and turning the pages. First of all, from a technical perspective, this is a very clean piece – something hard to find among indy work. I did notice a couple typos, but overall sentence structure, pacing, grammar etc. were nearly perfect. But all that just makes the story readable, what made it good was the real, deep characters, their highly believable interactions, their stories of loss, and the privilege of watching them overcome their pasts.

The reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5: For me, 5 stars is book that makes me forget I’m reading and that stays with me even after I put it away. This story, although fantastic, didn’t quite cross the bar (few books do). A few of the loss reactions just didn’t feel completely real to me and the romance itself was a little immature and lusty for my tastes. But new romances are often immature and I could easily see how that would be what someone would need to overcome the loss Katie suffered. Regardless, it was certainly fun to read with plenty of wish-fulfillment moments. I imagine for any true fan of romance, this book would easily pass the 5-star mark.

Katie and Ryan met as children and he never forgot her. Years later, she’s a young widow and decides to take a road trip to find a new home. Her mom talks her into taking a rider to stay safe, and we meet Ryan, and although she’s forgotten their early meet, they get along well. A story about forgiveness and learning to live again, Start Again is sweet and sad, with an overall HEA.

This book dealt with bereavement and the long-term effects of significant loss. The main character must learn to live without her beloved husband and precious daughter. The author encompasses the realities of the effects death and mental turmoil has on a person's demeanor, relationships, fluctuating mental state and ability/ desire to find happiness. After suffering a life-altering tragedy, Katie struggles to be. Two years pass and she is still reeling from her loss on a daily basis. Saman takes the reader on a journey as Katie accidentally falls in love, but is unable to be happy as she is eaten by the guilt of moving on, the pain of memories regrets and everyday interactions and outings. Once she begins to let go, she yo-yos back and forth between living in the moment, and denying herself happiness. This is where the story heats up and becomes a steamy romance including an over-protective alpha-male who doesn't mind rescuing her and being the support she needs.

I read a book a day, so lots of different preferences but once in a while I come across a story of such depth I immediately cannot stop reading. I was as involved with Ryan and Katie’s life as they were with each other. The sadness brought tears, the car trip wow what fun and so uplifting. Of course great HEA.Must Read

The first book of J Saman I read was Irresistibly Broken and loved it so much I decided I had to read all of her back catalogue.
Start Again is a beautifully written angsty book - a road trip with near strangers - what can possibly happen other than them to fall in love. 🥰 Ryan is a strong man emotionally and needs to be as Katie is a challenge!
It definitely lived up to my expectations and I look forward to all the rest of her books xx

    I. Loved. It.

Don’t get me wrong it was an emotional ride but I loved every moment of it. If you’ve never read J.Saman before, it’s a good starting point. Seriously amazing story, the characters are super well developed and it’s as cute as heartbreaking.
    Just dive! It’s worth it!

The first J Saman book I have read and loved it. Not as spicy as I usually read but the story is beautiful and perfectly timed for me. As someone in the first year of losing my best friend this book has helped me with that journey, my loss is of a different kind to Kate’s but it has helped to work through the guilt of living that is part of grieving.
