From the Inside Flap
Others like to live on the edge of public humiliation, of being "found out," such as the protagonist of "Grocery Run," in which Rose P. Lethe writes, "Jess did hide her face this time, covering it with her free hand while humiliation and--god help her--the stirrings of arousal poured over her like hot wax. Squeezing her thighs was how she liked to come."
In a more private but no less delicious form of being humiliated, the narrator of "Way of Life," by Selena Kitt, experiences a "surge of shame," the kind that for some submissives provides the ultimate arousal. They may protest that they don't want the shame, but deep inside they know they do, know it turns them on like nothing else. Kitt writes, "I didn't stop sucking as he reached into his shirt pocket but I did cry out when he attached a clamp to my throbbing nipples, first one, then the other. They bit into my flesh, a sharp sting that built to a slow, steady burn. He watched me writhe on the machine." It's the physical acts, the body's reactions to that throb and sting, expertly combined with the reason she's submitting in the first place. In other words, the mental aspect of submission and all it symbolizes is just as meaningful to her as the "punishments" he provides.
Other stories take ritual acts and turn them into sexual wonderlands. In "Twelve," R. A. Buckley takes the act of counting and turns it into one that's undeniably erotic as the narrator recounts a hard spanking. "He makes my body sing and react in ways that I never thought would be possible. I've orgasmed from His bare-handed spankings many times in the past, and other ways as well. It's part of our dynamic and why I love Him so."
While there are numerous committed kinky couples here, there are also strangers who meet and instantly connect, finding their counterpart who will say those words that are music to their ears, that put them into a mind-set that makes them want to obey (or deliberately disobey, brat style). I welcome readers who've known for a long time about their kinks, as well as those who, like some of these characters, are exploring them for the first time.
From rope to role-playing, exhibitionism and multiple partners, sex toys and spankings and so much more, these characters meet their naughtiest fantasies head on, with some help from the Dominants who give them a push (or in some cases, a not-so-gentle shove) in the right direction. They highlight the symbiotic relationship between top and bottom, where one needs to control and the other thrives on surrendering.

Let the celebration begin! Amorous Woman is now available as an ebook, with a gorgeous cover (if you're interested in having this beautiful book to caress, contact my publisher about POD). This novel is my personal favorite of all my work (to date), and the most demanding and rewarding to write. If you like the free sample, dive in and take your own trip to a fascinating, exotic and erotic land. I'm also very excited to announce that a collection of six of my best short stories, "The Mammoth Book of Erotica Presents the Best of Donna George Storey: Picture Perfect" is now available on Kindle. Exhibitionism, cross-dressing, phone sex, Japanese erotic prints, there's lots to please everyone. All of the stories appeared in the Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica series.
And now, for my official bio:
I've always wanted to write fiction, but didn't have the time or the courage until my oldest son was born and I decided to leave my job teaching Japanese literature to be a full-time parent in 1997. From the start, I was drawn to erotic themes and although I resisted at first--erotica seemed too scandalous for a shy bookworm like me--I soon realized I had to write what I loved.
Fortunately, over the years the love has translated into over 150 publications in various venues, from literary magazines like Prairie Schooner and The Gettysburg Review to best-of erotica anthologies like Best American Erotica and The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica.
I'm a Princeton graduate with a Ph.D. in Japanese literature, which I mention not to impress--who really cares?--but to suggest how far I've wandered from the path of propriety. But I like to think my new aspirations are as lofty. I truly believe we need more writers willing to acknowledge that the sexual urge and the erotic imagination are as worthy of a complex literary treatment as anger, jealousy, ambition or love in its PG-rated form. That's what I try to do in my work, one story at a time.
My other interests include delicious food, hearty wine, reading about history and cultural studies, and long walks at dawn. My author photographs were taken by the wonderfully talented Laura Boyd (www.ownyoursexy.com) who can capture the inner beauty in everyone, especially if you're wearing a gorgeous custom-made corset. Thanks for stopping by.

T.C. Mill watches more BBC programming than is probably healthy, takes more books off library shelves than she can ever read (getting an eReader has not improved matters), and is currently writing her next story in a fashionable eco-friendly notebook. Or composing it in Microsoft Word with layers of Tracked Changes. Whatever works. Speaking of work, she earns her living as a freelance editor and disorganized author balancing multiple projects across multiple pennames.
With Alex Freeman, she has co-edited two anthologies of passionate, cutting-edge erotica with the New Smut Project. Her work has been published by Dreamspinner, Circlet, Nerve Magazine, the Bright Desire website, Bust magazine, MoFo Pubs and Cleis Press. More updates about what she's doing next can be found at TC-Mill.com.
Jade A. Waters is a fiction writer, poetess, and voiceover artist in California. Her short erotic fiction and poetry has been featured in publications by Cleis Press, Coming Together, Fuse Literary, Cosmopolitan UK, and Stupid Fish Productions, including Best Women's Erotica of the Year (Vol. 1), Best Erotic Romance of the Year, and Best Women's Erotica 2014. Her stories have also been narrated on The Kiss Me Quick’s Erotica Podcast, and Lessons in Control, her erotic romance trilogy, was published by Carina Press. Jade's newest release—A Love Affair, From A to Z—is a narrative in verse available in ebook and audiobook, and narrated by Jade herself.
While Jade was first published as an erotica writer, her stories have expanded to capture all facets of love, relationships, sex, and passion—be the experiences of her characters joyous and sweet, or transformative, bittersweet, and achy. Her stories are often on the lyrical side, thanks to Jade's first writing love of poetry.

Leandra Vane was a romance author and blogger active between 2013 and 2020.
Anna has been published by multiple presses and her story, Imago, in The Big Book of Submission: Volume 2 (Cleis Press, 2018) was praised by Publishers Weekly as 'standout'.
Anna loves writing flash fiction and short stories in various genres, most of which never see the light of day. Apart from that, she’s (in no particular order) polyamorous, a CFS & fibro spoonie, and a lover of puns, strong tea, good coffee and geekery.
A native of the Deep South, my best friend swears I'm the secret love child of Martha Stewart and punk icon Henry Rollins. I married an Über-Alpha Bad Boy Biker Computer Geek (yes--they do exist!) who is the best husband ever. I got hooked on romance at age 14. My grandmother got in trouble for buying me Belgian Romance by Lucinda Anne Day on our trip to Woolworth. (Yes, I'm dating myself.) I stumbled across Anne (Rice) Rampling's Belinda a few years later--that was an eye opener. When I discovered Nora Roberts' The MacGregor Brides in the Kansas City airport, I was sucked into a romance vortex and became a total junkie. I've lived in some major metropolitan areas, including NYC. That was a bucket list item. I've also lived in a small town in a dry county. I can tell you that freaky stuff goes on there, too.
Welcome to my page. I hope you enjoy your time here and leave inspired to follow your dreams because creating amazing stories is mine. I have never wanted to be anything but a writer and began writing erotic stories for what I was missing in my own life. I soon found that I had a passion for writing about other people's passions. Though I love writing about sex, it's more about people who share emotional, spiritual and physical connections.
I hope you enjoy my stories and find something of yourself, or a new kink you'd like to explore, or just good stories you can escape into for a while before returning to the realities of your life. I consider it an honor that I get to daydream for a living, and I owe it to the people who buy my books.
I live in a tiny apartment with too many books, clothes, shoes and chocolate chip cookies. I spend my days writing erotic stories and trying to resist the lure of the ocean.
Please leave reviews and be sure to stop by frequently for updates. I know there are a lot of erotic books out there and it is easy to find stories to get you off. I hope what I offer are stories that linger, stories which make you take a second look, stories that make you wet, in your brain and heart as much as anywhere else. If you can feel that, then I have done my job.
Adrea is an author of erotica, poetry and articles, residing in Melbourne, Australia. She explores the rich diversity of feminine sexuality, focusing her lens on themes of desire, fantasy, arousal and relating.
She publishes fiction and non-fiction, and is currently working on her first collection of themed erotic short stories. Adrea has run writing workshops, and writes articles about the craft of creative writing via her blog https://koredesires.wordpress.com/. She also works with other authors as a developmental editor
Her provocative stories can be found in several anthologies, as well as online. Intrigued by both the transcendent and transgressive aspects of sexuality, she views writing erotica as a potent way of transforming how sexuality is perceived and experienced. She considers the art of tea essential to her writing practice, and collects antique china teacups.
Recently her erotic poetry was published in Coming Together: In Verse (2015) and her short story 'Wet Satin Plaything' appears in Licked (House of Erotica, 2015). Adrea’s story 'Peek Hour', featured in Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 13.
Jo Henny Wolf lives with her husband and two daughters in the idyllic Rhine Valley in one of the warmest places of Germany. She spent her childhood roaming the woods of the Black Forest, steeped deeply in myth and folklore and ingrained superstition, where her love for fairytales was nurtured and cemented.
When she doesn't give old stories a new, steamy spin, she loves to write about people indulging their desires, having hot sex and deep emotional connections. And once in a while, she follows the call of a dark and twisted story. What could be more fun?

I am LN Bey; I write BDSM erotica. I am relatively new to writing in the genre, with a few stories in anthologies and a recently completed first novel, with more of both on the way. I have, however, been an avid reader of erotica for many years.
I am attracted to the inherent illogic of BDSM. The desire to be beaten, controlled, humiliated (or to do the beating, for that matter), makes no logical sense—and yet it’s what has driven some of us since early childhood, before we even understood what sex actually was.
In addition to writing kinky erotica and reading kinky erotica, I like writing ~about~ kink. My website, www.lnbey.com, is devoted to finding the classics of BDSM erotica of past and present and figuring out what makes them—and their creators—tick. I like smart, creative work. On my site, I endeavor to find the hidden gems and create a place where erotic works of merit can be discussed intelligently. In my own work, I strive to create it by taking the craft of writing very seriously—while coming up with some very hot stories.
Sonni de Soto is a Builder of Worlds. Well, really, she's a small office cog, churning away in a cubicle, who stealthily writes stories in email drafts (so it still looks like she working).
She's a queer storyteller of color, who believes that the romance and speculative genres too often don’t get the credit they deserve. They tell us a lot about humanity. What we desire and fear. Our values and taboos. For genres that are too often dismissed as fluff or pure entertainment, they allow us to explore sides of ourselves that we can’t anywhere else. They allow us, as storytellers, to showcase the soul. de Soto has had the privilege of publishing novels and stories with The Sexy Librarian, Cleis Press, SinCyr Publishing, and many others. An escape artist at heart, de Soto also enjoys consuming stories of all kinds and cosplaying the fictional loves of her life.

Iris Ann Hunter is a bestselling author of a darker kind of romance. A tortured romantic at heart, she writes a twisted, psychological blend of dark romance, erotica, and suspense. Her books have been called beautiful and depraved, and range from tender to pitch black. Dominance and submission is a common theme and taboo is always fair game.
Before chasing a dream to be a writer, Iris worked with horses, then as a graphic designer. After testing the waters with a few erotic short stories, she fell deeper in love with dark romance and wrote her first novel, Tragic Beauty, which became an Amazon bestseller. When she’s not reading or writing, or wandering the dark recesses of her mind while questioning her sanity, you’ll likely find her riding her horse, playing with her dog, or sipping a glass of red wine. Iris lives with her longtime lover in a seaside town along the Southern California coast.
She is currently at work on her next novel, Hunted Beauty, the second book in the Beauty & The Darkness Trilogy...to be released 2022.

Lazuli Jones is an LGBTQIA+ romance and women's erotica author as well as a massive geek. They enjoy bad puns, 80's pop culture references, and science-fiction. Their latest novel, BETTER LATE, is now available from Clarian Press.
Their first novel, ABYSSAL ZONE (eXtasy Books) is all about the exploration of human/alien sexuality, with some spaceships and lasers to serve as a backdrop.
Their short stories have appeared in numerous collections including TOY BOX, THEY DO, MYTHOLOGICALLY TORQUED, BEST WOMEN'S EROTICA OF THE YEAR, VOLUME I, NASTY: FETISH FIGHTS BACK, and THE BIG BOOK OF SUBMISSION, VOLUME II.
No stranger to the stage, Lazuli is also a locally-produced playwright, blending the glitter of live theatre with erotica. They once wrote a play parodying classic Harlequin romance novels, which was really just an excuse to say the words "milky bosoms" and "turgid rubies" over and over.
They live with their partner in Ontario, Canada.
I am, as of this writing, seventy-two-years-old and still passionately interested in all things erotic: art, literature, films, and fantasies—not to mention hot, personal interactions when opportunities arise. Although I was led to believe that in my post-menopausal, estrogen deprived life, I would come to prefer travel, cooking, hiking, or gardening, to the allure of intimate encounters—this has fortunately proven to be untrue. My sexual life now spans a half century, and against all odds and aside from age related restrictions imposed by my body, it continues to unfold.

Rachel Woe is a forbidden love junkie who probably watched too many inappropriate movies as a teenager. A longtime lover of risqué fiction, she used to smuggle Story of O and The Sleeping Beauty trilogy to school, folded inside brown-bag book covers.
On the rare occasion when she’s neither reading nor writing, you can find her camped out at the back of the cinema or on the hunt for a perfect Irish eggs Benny.

Suzanne Fox was born and raised in Staffordshire before moving to the beautiful county of Cornwall in 2006. She combines a career in nursing alongside her passion for writing.
Her first success was when she was a prize-winner in a competition run by a writing magazine. Since then she has turned her hand to writing erotica, before venturing into the horror genre. Suzanne likes to combine the two genres whenever possible. She also tries to include some of her life experiences within her writing, although she would like to make it clear that she has never actually crucified anyone personally.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2018Copies of Big Book of Submission have I have spotted at Dungeons, sex shops and in the homes of Kink practitioners over the last couple of years. It is one of those collections of erotica that is spoken about in whispers and the thought of writing a sequel, yet this book keeps up and even beats the first one.
Ropes, Subs, and Doms, kinks big and small, and desire across the spectrum are covered in this book and these short little pieces really do get the job done. All of the stories are a fantastic primer for newbies and a sultry enough for those with lots of experience. Cleis press does it again! If you loved Big Book of Submission Volume 1 then you need to get your hands on Big Book of Submission

- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2018I bought the Kindle edition not knowing quite what to expect. I’m not really familiar with the subject except as some sort of joke or indication of villainous behavior on a tv show. I found the stories interesting and I thought they were well written. Some were kinky and some were romantic like Dr. J’s “Lashed” or Mischa Elliot’s “Chased By The Wolf” which had a Victorian feel to me. Read the book, it’s enjoyable and an education.Big Book of Submission Volume 2: 69 Kinky Tales
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2018Most of the short stories were interesting and inventing. A few were somewhat lacking but overall I enjoyed this book’s diversity! Will look for volume 1.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2018Good assembly of many kinds of kink. Alot of these are just teasers and a good way to pick authors that interest you. Some of the stories were kind of difficult to follow. I'm not sure if it was because it was in regard to something that didn't interest me or I just couldn't follow the author.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2017I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review this collection of 69 very short erotic stories that all deal with the theme of “Submission.” What I particularly like about this collection is how much variety and contrast there is from story to story. For example, sometimes it is a male who submits, other times it is a female. These are not stereotypical bondage stories. Instead, they each get into the psychology of the characters. While some stories use explicitly sexual language, others don’t even use one x-rated word!
In “Chased By The Wolf” by Mischa Eliot, the submissive woman wears a bunny costume sent to her by her dominant to attend “The Predators And Prey Ball” at the local zoo. Eliot describes the zoo and nighttime chase of the participants so expertly that I felt like I was there. When the dominant finally catches his submissive, she is “scooped up and carried off.” He then brings her to his home where she says: “He bathed me and petted me until I begged for more.” He then teases her, making her wait. They don’t even have sex in this story, and there is not one sexually explicit term, yet it is so sexy and a complete turn-on!
“Roped In” by Adrea Kore is about “Shibari” which is a Japanese erotic rope bondage practice. Kore’s skillful description of the character’s experience with the rope’s feel of release and tension while it snakes around her body is concurrently described with the tension and suspense that builds up throughout the storyline. The Shibari practice, which she is introduced to at a workshop, is completely new to her. Kore relays to us in the beginning that a rope is involved. This immediately conjures up images of a rough, beige-colored rope. We learn that this is not the case and that the rope is red and silky, and the male Shibari instructor says: “Rope has its own intuitive intelligence. It responds to different bodies in different ways.” It turns out that Kore’s character is VERY responsive to the rope! She submits to it and, in a sense, to all the people involved in the workshop who are watching which is very erotic!
“Metamorphoses” by Emmanuelle de Maupassant is a very sexy story about a young female librarian’s assistant and the headmaster of the school. We are initially introduced to the main librarian, an older woman, who hired this assistant and claims she made a good choice in hiring the young woman because she is so helpful. She says that she has even offered to close up the library for her for the third night in a row. Little does she know that the headmaster has been “servicing” the young assistant after hours by having her climb up the bookshelves while she reads to him as he slowly undresses her. Apparently, this is a new sexual awakening for her. While he prepares to pleasure her, she assures herself that she is still, indeed, herself: “Apple of her father’s eye, church on Sundays, doesn’t stay out late. She’s a good girl, isn’t she?” It is the young woman who submits in this story, but then again, she is the one who is being focused on and is the one receiving the pleasure. So even though he is enjoying her submission, it seems he is submitting to her more than she is to him!
Dr. J’s “Lashed” takes place on a sailing ship at sea. This very hot and sensual story is revealed to us as the female co-captain describes the male captain: “Nelson had always taken care of me, my well-being, my safety. But today he expressed a need.” His need consists of undressing her and giving her a flimsy gauze to wear, tying her up to a pole on the boat while she faces the bow of the boat, and he takes pictures of her. As he snaps the photos, she feels consumed by the ocean and at one with it. Feeling her arousal grow, she says: “The ocean whispered to me. ‘You are his. Submit.’”
This collection also contains hardcore BDSM material, but it is never run of the mill. The stories are complex, and there truly is something for everyone here. Each story is well thought out and not written merely as a device to get off. While so much erotica focuses more on what men want to read (or what women writers and women readers think men want them to read and also want from them regarding sex in general), these stories are more truthful. I would recommend “The Big Book Of Submission Volume 2” to any reader of erotic fiction: male, female, feminist, and hardcore BDSM advocate.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2017I'm not usually a fan of anthologies or shorts, but I was offered an ARC and decided to give it a shot. Most of the submissions, lol, are very short, quick reads. The variety is unbelievable, some were about topics I never thought I would read about, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover how many I actually enjoyed. Each story was original, intense in some way, and wonderfully written. Even when I was reading one that I normally wouldn't have picked up I couldn't stop reading it. I have discovered some new authors, some new kinks, and a lot about myself from reading this. The set has changed my way of thinking when it comes to sets like this, and I am looking forward to reading more.
I received an ARC of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving my honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
I absolutely love these anthologies edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel. If her names on it, I will buy it. I am never disappointed. There wasn’t one story that I did not enjoy. These stories are short but the talent of the authors makes them well rounded, satisfying quick reads. Kinky, sexy and perfect to read to that special someone. Would definitely recommend. Go buy this book, you will not be disappointed.
