How sweet it is to be loved by you… This is what Virginia hopes when she falls for Nadia. Tennis is a sport I went through a phase of following and memorizing all the stats as well as the up and coming female tennis players. This story is definitely up alley with young female tennis players and the fact that they are lesbians. Delicious!

Ms. Felthouse serves up a delightful tale of two athletic women moving from friends to lovers. The tennis theme helped bring forth a friendly competitive chemistry between Virginia and Nadia. The two women volley back and forth a lusty flirtation which brings the reader to a steamy shower scene. I'm glad I'm not the only one who fantasizes about a shower scene like this after a good workout.

This story moves at a good pace. The sex is good. The characters are fun and likeable. There is a little plot device which is used to create a situation for Virginia. This didn’t work too well for me. I understand why it was used and how it makes the story work. It felt as if it pulled focus from the story. Perhaps it was a bit too easy an explanation and resolution which is why it didn't do well for me. Still, overall this story is a smooth and enjoyable read. Recommended for f/f romance lovers who want to read about sexy athletic women getting it on.

It’s common to develop a crush on a coworker, but is it always a bad idea to act on those feelings?

Poor Virginia is a bundle of nerves. Some of the things she worries about are absolutely legitimate, but there were a few times when I wanted to give her a hug and tell her to try assuming the best about what other people are thinking instead for while. She’s the kind of character this fellow worrywart can’t help but to sympathize with due to how much detail was packed into every one of her internal monologues. Figuring out how to shut down those unhelpful thoughts isn’t easy, but it’s sure nice to know that you’re not the only one trying to tune them out!

The first sex scene caught me by surprise. I knew it was coming eventually, of course, but it felt premature due to everything else that is going on as well as the serious nature of the scenes that sandwich it. Delaying it until certain subplots found their resolutions would have earned this book a much higher rating.

Speaking of subplots, I wasn’t expecting to find so many of them in this piece. Each one adds depth to Virginia’s backstory and personality. It was entertaining to see how they all eventually tied together. While they could have been expanded into a full-length novel, they worked just as well in a novella of this length. There is definitely room for a sequel, though, if Ms. Felthouse ever decides to write one.

Sweet Spot was a fun ride. This is a great choice for anyone in the mood for a well-developed tale whose secondary story lines are nearly as interesting as the main event.

Oh how I enjoy a Lucy Felthouse title! This one is focused on the world of tennis, and an up and coming contender in Virginia with her mentor and friend Nadia. When Virginia decides that a bit of alcohol will help her to reveal her attraction to Nadia, she gets horribly drunk and her behavior embarrasses her and puts her in hot water at the Institute.

Embarrassed by her own behavior, Virginia’s point of view is highlighted with a solidy defined voice and feels wholly appropriate. Her own concerns about offending Nadia when she reveals her feelings have her hesitant and awkward, which is endearing. When these two finaly DO act on their attraction, their connection is incredibly sexy and hot, with the inset of Virginia’s thoughts and desires adding to the steam. My only complaint is the over-reaction to the twist in the story.

Virginia’s behavior at the party after the US Open was out of character, and when the reasons are explained, I found her overreaction highlighted her youth and immaturity, and felt more than slightly preachy. The situation was horrid, but one would expect that reaction IF the plan had succeeded, and not so much for someone who escaped without injury. It did, however, serve to show more of Nadia’s character and emotional connection. A hot and steamy short that gives an insight into their lives and concerns, you don’t have to be a sport fan to enjoy this.

Raw Talent Book Two. Can be read as a standalone book.

Virginia Miller is disappointed when her friend Nadia Gorla didn't win her tournament, so she decides they need to drown their sorrows. The next morning Virginia finds herself in some hot water due to her alcohol induced shenanigans. However, when she recieves some bad news from her boss, Nadia is there to comfort her. While Virginia is a bit nervous to begin a relationship with her mentor, she has had a crush on Nadia for a long time.

If you're looking for a quick f/f read with a bit of tennis and locker rooms thrown in, this is the short for you!

The narration is awful, so rushed I couldn’t follow what was being said, ergo I had no idea what was going on. Maybe if the narrator slowed down...Sadly, I wasn’t able to listen to the story so my review is based on narration only. Maybe I’ll try to find a readable version and be able to provide feedback on the actual "book".
