- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2020Loved this series. Well developed characters & story lines. Book 1 deals w/a missing woman & introduces the reader to the main characters in the series. Ty Swift inherited the home from his Aunt Lily, the upstairs tenant was included. There's an office in the basement for him to use in his PI business. Thruout the books you'll meet various love interest of Ty's: Ruth, Kris, Bella & Nora. Book 2 starts w/a suicide, Ty is being harassed by swatting, the events escalate, Ty's attacked in his home & it also involves Kris. Won't spoil who is responsible for those problems. Book 3 has a married man who stabs his GF & then hangs himself....all the plots are tangled. This book also has the upstairs tenant, Cedric helping a 17 year old Syrian refugee. Cedric's son is a problem thruout the books. Book 4 is Watching You....someone w/a tortured background is planning on revenge for his situation. It's a story of 2 grandsons. Book 5 is about a young woman found drown, since she was terrified of water, there's some question how/why she was in the lake. Story line has several twists & turns. Ty's love of rowing is part of the story line. He's got scars but seems like this book ends up w/him the most seriously injured. Book 6 has a womanizing pilot found dead in a plane he gives lessons in. His 15 year old daughter is involved in this story & the reader won't find out what happens to her. The pilot used to work for a major airlines & flew internationally, however, his wife felt it was just an excuse to be away & play. Book 7 is about a murdered woman, traveling on a ferry w/her sister. The sister is found severely brain damaged....another interesting story of anger & revenge. You'll also find his relationship w/his young daughter, her hearing damage, sign language & the relationships Ty's involved with. There's Cedric's son, a reporter that helps him go after Ty, publishes damaging stories about Ty's cases. Not sure if there will be an 8th book that let's us know how Branna is doing & if the missing pilot's teenage daughter is found.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2020Really enjoyed this series; I hope it continues on. Tyrone Swift is an excellent character. But one wishes something would go right for him for once with his love life. The character of Kris was perfect for him. I don't like what was done to her. I don't like Ruth at all. Selfish, self centered, thoughtless, no compassion at all. To dump her fiance Swift was bad enough; to stay with her husband Emlyn after his actions were responsible for what happened to Kris was inexcusable. She was an idiot for doing that, especially being pregnant with Tyrones baby. I really don't like Ruth. While I love how Tyrone is with and about Branna, I'm sorry that tie is there with Ruth, as Tyrone deserves better than Ruth. It would be very disappointing if in future books Ruth moves far away with Branna. And I don't like how Marcel is with Branna; she's not his daughter. But Ruth seems to like to defer to every man she's with, except Tyrone. And Nora! What an insecure, jealous bitch! Tyrone deserves much better than her. I really hated when Cedric died. And Milo disappeared after the first few books. That's the thing with this series; you care about the good characters like Tyrone, Cedric, Milo, Branna, and really don't like the ones like Ruth and Nora. And you want to see what happens next. Looking forward to the next books in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2020I got this set at a very low price, so I didn't expect much-- but I have been very pleasantly surprised. The books are well written, the mysteries are well done and unpredictable, the relationships are complex, and the characters are well-developed and likable (unless they're not supposed to be). It's one of those series where you grow to care about the characters. In terms of my preferences, I am an avid mystery reader, and I also love British period pieces. These books are a lovely modern combination of the two. I'm on the last book and will be really sad when the series ends.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2020I just love Detective Tyrone Swift. I enjoyed all the books. Was left a bit disappointed with book 7 Her Lost Sister. I wanted the troubles with Oliver and Camilla resolved. But that gives me hope there will be another book. I hope there is. These books are definitely impossible to put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping series
do yourself a favour and treat yourself to this set of 7 books. I have just finished the last one and had to get on here straight away to say buy them! There was a common thread running through the books but it wasn't overdone and the catch up in each book was brief, not pages like some are. Each had an interesting story line and I often was up past midnight reading them. Loved them all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable with likeable leading character
I thoroughly enjoyed reading these books. The lead character is very likeable, the books are well written and really easy to read. The stories have a good pace and there are sufficient red herrings to keep you guessing right until the end. Great selection of 'who dunnit' s.
