Triple-Duty Bodyguards : A Reverse Harem Romance Kindle Edition
As one of the world’s most hated celebrities, I’m used to unwanted attention. But when I wake up one morning to find a mysterious man has broken into my house, I know I need security, fast. Enter “The Angels”, my three ex-SAS bodyguards:
Glen, the Scottish sweetheart with the scarred face and gentle hands.
Kenta, the long-haired soldier with the tattooed skin and secretive smile.
And Matt, the blue-eyed, bad-tempered leader haunted by his military past.
Having three gorgeous men guarding me 24-7 sounds like a dream come true, but it turns out to be a nightmare. They’re always here, watching me. Caring for me. Protecting me. They tell me to ignore them and go about my business, but I can’t even think with them so close. The spark is too intense.
On top of that, we don’t get on. They think I’m a demanding diva. I think they’re overdramatic. When a trip to America sends the guys’ protective instincts into overdrive, the sizzling tension between us finally breaks, and I learn my bodyguards’ biggest secret: they want me.
All three of them.
Meanwhile, my stalker’s behaviour is becoming more and more alarming. He’s photographing me through windows and following me in the shadows. With the premiere for my next movie coming up, will my three bodyguards be able to keep me safe from his clutches? Or will my terrifying pursuer finally get his deadly way?
Triple-Duty Bodyguards is a standalone why choose romance featuring multiple love interests, stomach-fluttering suspense, and smoldering heat. No cheating, and an ultra-sweet HEA guaranteed!

About the author

Lily Gold is a contemporary romance author living in London, England. She has a soft spot for strong guys with big hearts, and thinks the only thing better than one book boyfriend is TWO book boyfriends... or maybe three 😜When she's not writing, she's usually reading, accidentally killing her potted plants, or finding a pet to cuddle.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2025When I first read the summary, I wasn't sure of how I'd feel about Briar. But I trusted that Lily Gold would never steer me wrong and began reading. She, of course, delivered yet again another heartfelt and amazing story. The spice, the drama, the communication. Just perfect.

This is a difficult one to review. On one hand there were sooooo many MAJOR flaws with the story (police literally handing the actual evidence back to the victim, out of spite no less) that it literally ruined the book because it happened so often. Yet on the other hand, the stalker “X” was soooo well written that I honestly wonder if there were two authors here…I was completely captivated during the parts where they were dealing with “X” that is almost saved the book. Almost is def the key word here. It didn’t. I understand this was pure fiction, however to stray so far from reality was distracting and extremely frustrating. But honestly, how do you have one part so well done, yet have such crazy out of control issues in others??
If you’re just looking for Spice, it has it. It’s def a RH and the scenes seem to go on forever. But if you’re more looking for a captivating story, be prepared to skip some pages to find it.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2022I’ve read two books now by Lily Gold and this one did not disappoint. Like, wow. The amount of times the characters made me want to jump through the pages and just comfort them was unreal. The emotional, physical, psychological trauma and pain they all encountered is enough to make the strongest person break. Feeling isolated, unwanted, and having no one in your corner could make a person go mad. But Briar takes what people of assumed of her and makes it a reality. They think she’s a b*^!h, that’s what she’ll be.
The relationship between Briar, Kenta, Matt, and Glen is profound and I couldn’t get enough. Briar slowly breaking down her walls to let them in, Matt working through his PTSD from blaming himself for what happened in the past, Glen started to believe that he’s worth more than he thinks, and Kenta trusting that he has something to offer other than keeping everyone together. Their bond, friendship, trust, respect, and honesty was inspiring and beautiful. Briar’s ability to take what the world saw her as and use it to her advantage, proved how strong and capable she is.
“I have a theory: I don’t think she’s rude or b*^!hy at all. I think she’s just a very private, intelligent woman who is playing the media like a f-ing violin.”
“I’ve been in this industry since I was a kid. I learned that if you don’t want to be taken advantage of, you have to advocate for yourself. Your PR team won’t help. Your security won’t help. Your director, or manager, or agent won’t help. They all have their own agendas. They’re all looking at you like a product they want to sell. The only person who can ever really look after me is myself. So yes, I kick up a fuss when someone screws me over. I think every girl should.”
“Wait.” I peel back to look at him. “Are you telling me that you’re not always such a massive prick?” “I’m always a prick,” he concedes. “But you’ve definitely seen the worst of me since we met. I’m sorry.” He traces a circle on my back. “Don’t apologise. I think it’s kind of cute.” I tuck into him. “We have matching unhealthy coping mechanisms. How adorable is that?”
“I try to process all of that. “Scents. Any of mine bother you?” He snorts. “Yeah, Chanel Number Three takes me to a really dark place. No, princess. It’s blood, mostly.”
“C’mon,” I mutter. “You’re good. I’m squeezing your hand. You can feel that, right? Squeeze back.” He looks down at our joined hands. His throat jumps. “I love her,” he says suddenly. “I noticed.” His fingers tighten on mine, gripping me hard, and my heart just about breaks.”
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2025Not gunna lie, I purlt off reading this book for awhile because of the cover. Should have listened to the saying "don't judge a book by its cover".
This is a book where (in my opinion) you come across a rare fmc that is bold and has no problems saying what she wants. I love reading the development of the relationships.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2024This book was one of my early reverse harem reads forever ago, and it was a frequent reread as well. I love a gritty bodyguard romance, and this certainly is that. When I saw that there was an audiobook as well I of course had to get it. Let me just say, one of the MMCs is Scottish, and it is pure joy listening to it.
I really like the story. All of the characters are well developed and have their own journeys throughout the book. The male characters aren’t just copies of each other with a different hair color. Of course there’s a dominant type, a shy type and the calm guy who pulls them all together, but it really works. It goes a bit further than surface level.
I also love Briar. She’s not necessarily a super likable FMC, but she’s unapologetically herself. She’s a product of her upbringing and surroundings in Hollywood where she’s been hounded by paparazzi and harassed by the public since she was a teenager. She’s brash and crude, but it’s mostly just a defense mechanism. She loves pink, she knows she looks great, and she goes after what she wants. There’s none of that ‘I shouldn’t want this, this is so wrong’. She decides she wants and deserves three great men, and I’m here for it.
The suspense and the entire stalking situation really had me hooked the first time I read it. Of course I know what happens really well by now, but I think it’s a well developed plot, and it was certainly suspenseful to the very end.
The spice is spicy. Maybe don’t listen in public, lol. Let’s just say that three ex special forces soldiers can be very organized and thorough when it comes to pleasure. I think Briar made the right choice, lol.
I don’t know, this one just works for me. Probably because it’s heavy on the external plot and suspense. Somewhere between 4 and 5 stars, rounded up.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2025I have loved all of Lily Gold's books:
Nanny for the Neighbors (2021)
Faking with Benefits (2021)
Triple-Duty Bodyguards (2022)
Three Swedish Mountain Men (2022)
My favorites are Faking with Benefits and Triple-Duty Bodyguard. But the common them is the romance and how the characters evolve into a better version of themselves because of their interconnected relationship. I find the story to be fun and loving.

5.0 out of 5 stars A cute love story!
It was really well written, the romance is well balanced with the spice. Well written sx scenes. The characters are very believable and have a good backstory. If you like Reverse Harem with a cute love story and some action/drama, this fast read is for you! Is my second book from Lily Gold and I loved both.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED IT!!!
At first I wasn't sure if I liked the FMC, but soon the story captivated me. The way trauma and the trauma responses were described are prefect, if you ask me. Also love the relationship between the FMC and each of the guys. Definitley recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book ate and left no crumbs
This book is so addictive, istg!!! I could read it over and over and never get bored. This masterpiece got me out of my three-year-long reading slump and reminded me why I fell in love with reading in the first place.
Lily Gold is and forever will be my savior in cases of reading slumps! 🙇♀️💕

2.0 out of 5 stars A bit too vulgar for my personal taste
If you're looking for a book with plenty of steamy scenes, this might be the right choice for you. I went into this read without much expectation, as it was a blind purchase, but I was surprised by how explicit it turned out to be. While I do enjoy some spice in my books, this one felt a bit too vulgar for my personal taste. That said, if you don’t mind a lighter plot and are more focused on passionate moments, this could be a book worth trying.
Personally I dropped it, around ch 31... so I tried.
