Paranormal Romance lovers rejoyce!
This is the first book i have read from Valenti and The Diamond Rose did not disappoint my Paranormal Romance moving genre heart. What first caught my attention is the cover - it fuels my love for powers, and the dude in the photo- he just looked so captivating then the female seemed to sweet but also strong. I wanted to read it then i read the description and I HAD to read it. Valenti did a wonderful job creating an exciting, original world in The Diamond Rose that is around a group of paranormal warriors called Sentinels.

I started reading The Diamond Rose the other night and I could not put it down until I finished. The author has created an exciting, original world involving a group of paranormal warriors called Sentinels. Amanda, the protagonist, is the most powerful of all: the Sentinel 10. She's so well-developed--strong and no-nonsense when it comes to fighting off the bad things, but also deeply vulnerable when it comes to matters of the heart, especially in her relationship with Alain, another really well-developed character. The settings are exotic, the action sequences are exciting, and the romance is sensual and hot. I definitely recommend this one and I'm excited to learn that a sequel is coming soon!

I read this book on Kindle Unlimited, or at least I tried to. I gave up around halfway through the book because I was struggling to connect with it in any meaningful way.

The character development is lacking, and this is an example of “show, don’t tell”. Characters are laid out plainly in a superficial way and are lacking nuance. I would have liked to see more development, but they felt one dimensional and shallow. Normally, in the first chapter of a book you’re introduced to a character and you start to make inferences about them and get to know them, but this book was more like: She is beautiful and nice and everyone loves her.

This book also starts off rough with no hook to grab your attention. One of my favorite things is when books have a dynamic first or last line that sticks on your brain long after you’re done reading it, but this book just takes off like a jet.

I have to admit, I honestly didn't know that there was a paranormal subgenre under the category of romance. An unusual combination. So I was intrigued to give it a read and see what it's all about.

While raising three kids, I read most of the YA books they did from Twilight to Harry Potter and more. The Diamond Rose had that same feel to me in a way. While I believe this was written as adult fiction, I would place its readership more in the older YA to Early 20's age group. There is one sex scene, but outside of that, the plot and style of writing takes me back to the books mentioned above

The book focuses on a strong, female character who is thrust into a new life when a solar flare gives her special powers. She is recruited by a secretive organization, placed with a mentor and a team, and given assignments combatting both evil energy constructs and other empowered beings with evil intentions. All goes well until she meets a damaged sentinel, now a killer, who needs her near to bring out a semblance of his former self.

I recommend this for those who love paranormal fiction with a dash of both danger and romance. And while not exclusive, I again see this appealing to a younger audience.

I was given a reviewer's copy of The Diamond Rose: A Sentinel 10 novel and am truly hooked! I am a huge fan of paranormal romance and this book blew me away. I read the entire novel within 24 hours of receiving it because I could not put it down. Valenti's plot is unique, combing psychic powers and secret societies with sprinkled with romantic sparks. All of the writing is very present-day and the protagonist Amanda is very easy to relate to as a modern women. I am eagerly waiting for the next book in the series!

Daniela Valenti's vivid descriptions and well-crafted dialogue make this fast-paced paranormal romance a lot of fun to read. Also, the concept of the Sentinels and their history is fascinating. I CANNOT wait to read future installments in this series!
